The individual flair of the place is impressive. The staff were friendly and helpful
We didnt see in the small small print that we had to share bathroom facilities with we are not sure how many guests. Having to wait to use the loo wasn’t ideal, especially if the shower had just been used by a stranger .. wet floors etc. similarly the breakfast room was difficult to navigate as all the breakfast is packed onto 1 table which makes it inaccessible to more than 1 person at a time . No space to put food covers down when helping yourself. We did enjoy the breakfast however.

Hotel is in a great location for Margate Soul Festival. The staff are really helpful and accommodating. The place is really clean.
The room was very small, there was no space to move around, the shower is in the bedroom, there was no space to air the towels, the room was so small that my partner actually tripped on the curtain. There was a large side board with a stall in front taking up unnecessary space. The toilet was down the corridor. It was ridiculously hot and needs a small air conditioning unit. I understand that the prices increase because of the soul festival but £200 a night is ridiculously overpriced for what you get.

Great pub, brilliant location and beautifully decorated rooms

Huge apartment room full of quirky details
So noisy! Might as well had our bed in the bar! It didn’t quieten down until past 1am. Lacked a few basics like instant coffee

The friendliness of the staff, our room was superb and the shower room was first class.

Great location. Nice decor. Lovely touches like the stocked kitchen.
For £165 a night, I would expect a private bathroom. The bedroom was very small and got hot in the evening. WiFi didn’t work. The hotel is right next to a busy road which can get noisy.

Loved the hotel. Room was small but adequate
Maybe I’m a little old school but would have loved to see a few lunchtime favourites on the menu. Maybe a ploughman’s lunch or some toasted sandwiches? There was nothing we liked the look of so ate elsewhere. It would have been great to have dined here

Very welcoming staff.
Interesting styling & interiors.
Nice courtyard out the back for breakfast.
Right on a busy road so very noisy.
Very hot - an old property with no aircon so not great in the summer heat.
A bit pricey for what it was, particularly considering it's a shared bathroom.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating!
I only stayed for 1 night - it was a short trip so nothing to complain about.

Heart House is a work of art full of beautifully up cycled furniture and homewares to create a bespoke experience. I particularly loved the gold leaf effect in the holes in the plaster walls on the stairs and the wonky wooden floorboards. Our room was sumptuous decorated with palm leaves and gold. The bed was extremely comfortable with a multitude of pillows and cushions. I was a little worried about sharing a bathroom but it was to die for! Loved the plants and the decor and the huge walk in shower.
There was a cute little snug upstairs which served as a well stocked residents bar with a good selection of teas and coffees and snacks (relying on honesty for the alcohol) The continental breakfast came as a welcome surprise as the booking didn't mention it. The pub was very warm and welcoming on a cold evening so we spend the evening here then just sauntered upstairs to bed. The George and Heart is in a perfect location just across the road from the old town, beyond which is the seafront and The Turner Contemporary. All on your doorstep
We couldn't find a socket in the room to charge up our phones but we'd brought portable chargers. There was no parking here but a few minutes walk up the hill was a long stay car park.

the decor is beautiful lots of thought gone into it all
this is a hard one as the stay was perfect the only thing which was a tiny tiny issue was the toilet being separate to the room however we worked with it but it still the toilet was individually ours still so no problems with this
