Pretty grounds - lovely setting - comfy beds and pillows.
Many annoying things - room not cleaned (we had 3 rooms and none were cleaned on our second day), no fan in bathrooms, paying $5 for bad coffee in the morning - really? Poor noise insulation - heard everyone coming into the building, walking in hallway. Besides occasional attempts to be hospitable such as complimentary sparkling wine, there was no attempt to really make us feel welcome.

great views, great facilities, nice staff, hotel design
bed was low quality
4.0
Nice staff, good location, nice bedding and mattress
bathroom was poorly laid out, no hooks for towels, robes, clothes, no place for toiletry bags, floor was dirty after cleaning crew was there, artwork was very small out of scale with the room and awkwardly installed, price of the bare bones room with only a partial lake view was astronomical

Ambiance. Setting. Service. Every details was attended to from the moment you drive up
Perfect in every way

Modern, beautiful, perfect aesthetic. Pool was fun for the whole family, very special to be in the pool on the lake.
Nothing really but could use more lounge chairs at the pool, few ppl were taking advantage of the very expensive daybeds.

Loved the setting of the hotel. Prime location!
The landscaping and outdoor seating arrangements were very impressive.
The interior of the hotel was detailed with top level finishes throughout!
The rooms were spacious, very functional, and comfortable. Great decor throughout.
Absolutely great potential for an extraordinary hotel.
Understaffed. This hotel has so much potential but it took so long to be served in each and every dining facility.
Enjoyed the Yoga and Stretch classes.
Also, nice touch to present hotel guest with a glass of Champagne.
Overall, a great experience.

It was clean with crisp white sheets, soft white towels and a beautiful bathroom!
I can’t think of anything that I didn’t like about the property.

Internet was awful ~ for how much the room cost, it should have been secure and high speed.
Very loud hallways, esp at night
Worst mattress I have slept on in. Hotel in at least 5 years ~ was woken up by back pain in the middle
Of the night
Completely empty mini bar/fridge
Doesn’t live up to boutique standards for the price (and I know bc I just stayed in. Kimpton hotel in West Hollywood 3 weeks prior). My room was less expensive and I had a vastly different experience w top end liquor, a yoga mat, soaking tub in addition to the full shower…I could go in

Terrific place. We went off season, cold! But the outdoor hot tub was inviting and the place is beautifully designed and run.
Definitely not mid-New York prices - more like New York City!

The room was beautiful and the property was gorgeous and a good size. The walk in shower was large and the body products in the room were luxurious. The room itself was very clean with a great view of the lake and canal from the balcony. The stretching and meditation classes that were included were great, and the teacher was lovely. The complimentary hot cocoa and wine in the lobby were a nice touch, and we enjoyed the fit pits in the evening. The ambiance of the whole place was top notch.
When we arrived, we were told the hot tub was out of order. Very disappointing, since the hot tub was one main reason I selected this hotel and my room only had a shower and no tub to soak. I never saw the ice skating rink that was featured on their website and it seemed it wasn't set up. The check-in staff didn't explain the amenities that were available/in operation and had trouble describing what was included in the resort fee I was paying. When I went to enroll in one of the included yoga classes upon check-in, I was told it was full already. If I came with young kids I would be worried that there is no barrier between the walking path and the lake/canal (just a sheer drop). My breakfast in the hotel restaurant was so salty that it was almost inedible (omelet and potatoes).

We loved our time at The Lake House. It was magical. The staff was incredible, the views, the room, the decor. There were so many places for us to hangout and enjoy our family. I love the library and the game room. All the spaces are inviting. The kids had a blast in the hot tub/pool. The view from the main house with the balcony was incredible. I can't wait to go back!

Beautiful place. The staff are brilliant. The rooms have everything you need. Just impressive.
The only issue is noise. For example, the room next door kept slamming doors and you can hear everything in the hall.

It was perfect. We were not there long enough to enjoy the amenities. The tavern and restaurants were hopping!
There was nothing I didn't like. The Christmas decorations were beautiful.
