H & L Lodge is a beautiful and private home located on one acre of woodsy property in the Historical Town of Julian. Just a 5 minute walk to the quaint town where dining, wine tasting, gift shops and of course famous apple pie are waiting for you to experience. This spacious home has all the luxuries you are looking for. Open concept living area offers plenty of room to relax and enjoy. Cook a nice meal in the fully stocked kitchen or cozy up in the large living room next to a warm fire and incredible mountain scenery. This was a great opportunity to stay at a beautiful home with family and friends. We attended the Ramona Rodeo Saturday night and this year was able to wake up the next day in a beautiful place. This wad our second trip to your property. It di not disappoint. We had lots of time to sit on the porch and take in all the beauty of Julian. Thanks again.

Well equipped older property with tons of beds. Downstairs den was very cozy and comfortable. The outdoor lawn are is nice for eating outdoors. Beautiful view.

My family and I have 0 complaints about staying in this beautiful home. From the grandparents to my 1 year old son everyone had a great time. Gina was amazing and the house was immaculate and well stocked with anything you could possibly need. The weather was hot and it was perfectly cool inside when we arrived. The quick trail and walk to town was fun and easy. We can't wait to come back!!

I loved staying here, the only thing to note is there are only two bedrooms and one bedroom has a loft. This was not super clear as it seemed like there were three bedrooms, but the loft is connected to the main bedroom so great for families with kids, but not as ideal for a group of adults. Still loved our stay, just a note for future guests!
The hot tub was amazing and loved the kitchen and living room area!

The house is beautiful and spacious. Clean and comfortable. Gorgeous views and plenty of games to keep everyone entertained. We especially enjoyed the 80s and 90s trivia. Gina was wonderful, very accomodating and great communication. The house is pretty much as listed, nice jacuzzi and fire pit, and though not listed, even has a grill. However, I was surprised to see neighbors so close. And sadly, a country critter (mouse?) did get to our bag of tortillas on the kitchen counter. Overall, though, a lovely place for a getaway.

Stayed over Memorial Weekend and had a great time. Property had been updated in the last few years and had a great feel to it. The hot tub and fire pit had a nice setup and the views were spectacular. Kitchen was well laid out and functional. There are a few minor things about the property. The third bedroom is really a loft best situated for kids. Our kids loved it so not an issue for us. It was their hideaway. Our biggest complaint would be the small bathrooms. Not much space to change in when the kids are using the loft. Jeanna the property manager was very kind and helpful with questions. We would stay here again.

We loved this stay that we are going to plan on coming back. Great location, quick walk to downtown main st and even quick walk to local mine. House is very cozy, clean and the views are amazing. Was awesome enjoying the garage with all the activities especially the arcade game which had a lot of games. 100% recommend this place.

This place is amazing!!! Very clean and comfortable. Lots of fun games to play. Short walk into town. Great amenities, outdoor fire pit and jacuzzi were great hangout spots for family. 10/10 recommend. Will definitely be coming back.

Property is great with lots of fun things to do and only a 5 minute walk to town. The only negative aspect was we encounter mice in the house, especially in the kitchen area. There was evidence of the mice the first day we stayed, but we didnt see any until the last few nights. Hopefully theyll get an exterminator to take care of that issue. Other than that, I would highly recommend staying here.

Literally could not ask for a better place. Thank you so much we really had the best time. Perfect for all ages, some toys, great living space. We even had some turkey visitors (like 20 turkeys!) one morning. Loved the proximity to the Main Street too.

We came up to Julian to support my son in the Cuyamaca 100K. That was a wild ride in itself.
What a beautiful, peaceful property you have here. The view here is amazing! We got up for sunrise and watched the sunset on the same day. The second the sun set into the mountain range a deer leapt across the property. When night fell, you could see millions of stars!
Gina, the property manager, was very helpful and kind. She was able to accommodate a request we had. This was tremendously helpful! Thank you Gina!!! The house was decorated for Fall and very comfortable. Also, there’s a great hot tub. Gets really hot to soothe your muscles.
Enjoy a trip to the town Julian. It’s a 5-7 min walk down the property where it meets the street to downtown. Go to the Julian Pie company. They’re the best! Thank you again for a great stay!!!!

Overall, the property was great. The only issue was that the MBR did not have any type of curtain or blind on the windows. The afternoon sun really heated up the room to the point of being very uncomfortable.

This place is even more luxurious than the photos suggest. From the wonderful mountainside view to the comfortable interior, it exceeded our expectations.
We barely had time to explore everything the cabin has to offer before our trip was over. Our family enjoyed foosball, the shuffleboard table, the video game cabinet, and the hot tub.
There are 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, plus a loft with 2 single beds above the master. The loft isn't a 3rd room, but it does offer a little separation from the kids. Mine really enjoyed climbing the captain's ladder to get to bed, but we made sure they always faced the steps whether going up or down.
The house is located uphill and to the east of Julian, very close to the Eagle Gold Mine. The owners of the property built a quaint little trail to take you down the side of the property to C Street, and from there it is about 3 blocks to the center of town. The return incline is a bit steep and you will feel a workout, but you should be fine with an average level of fitness. My 6-year-old son and 83-year-old aunt managed it each day of our stay and it was 90 degrees outside.
I was especially impressed with the manager of the property. Gina was friendly, helpful, and gave great advice about things to do and places to eat. She heated up the hot tub before our arrival, gave us a personalized tour of the house, and returned our calls and texts when we had questions.

Our group had an excellent experience at this property. Gina, the Property Agent, was always responsive from booking to check out. The house and adjoining areas offered great opportunities to be outside and enjoy multiple activities that also included the games in the garage. We were comfortable inside when it was too hot and could easily walk to town when we chose to do so. We recommend this house and hope to come back again.

Pros of home; EXACTLY as described. Well stocked kitchen, wonderfully renovated back yard space, gorgeous front deck views, game room with literally EVERYTHING. (We held many tournaments on the vintage game console (pac man/donkey Kong/Mario bros/asteroids etc [300+ games]) & board games on the poker table. Cool loft in master bedroom, comfy couch that makes into a queen bed and comfy recliners. Cozy blankets to snuggle in, comfortable beds and feather pillows. Laundry option was nice! We did all dirty laundry before we left so we arrived back home without THAT dreaded task.
Cons of home; Loft is in master bedroom & we were there during July 4th long wkend & HOTTEST temps of season. Made sleeping in loft impossible (heat rises and no A/C vent upstairs). A hottub snafu 1 night, but text communication w Gina was IMMEDIATE & a solution was handled quickly. Ice maker in freezer not working so went to town to buy ice :-) HOWEVER we did see the new part that may be installed soon so ask Gina if necessary before your stay.
Description of area around home; We did the gold mine tour down the street. Also drove to the camel farm tour one day. We wanted to go on walks each night but the location is VERY hilly w/ no “level” streets unless in town. So you’re either walking up steep Inclines OR down steep declines, but heading down you remember it will be an UP walk back lol

In town for a long weekend. Home was perfect for our needs. Close to town which is convenient. Very clean, love the outdoor features(hot tub, firepit, balcony). Will hopefully be back one day.

The property was clean and well kept. There was an amazing path that leads you straight to town and to the Gold Mine Tour, which was a golden must do while visiting Julian.
Gina was an amazing host , she did a meet and greet at the property and showed us around the house which was really appreciated.
Great location, we made a lot of trips to town from the house and didn’t have to worry about parking .

We loved the garage because is fully loaded with entertainment for all the family the backyard is gorgeous specially the jacuzzi and the fire pit wich perfect for s’mores the room upstairs for the kids is also great and on top of all the great stuff it offers it’s pretty close to shops and restaurants a 5 min walk it’s what it takes to go for a slice of pie

We had a great stay at this property. The property manager was fantastic! She replaced a propane tank because one was empty. She even bought a blow dryer for the house as there wasn't one there! Unfortunately, the jacuzzi was not working for two of our three-night stays. However, we were gifted a later check-out time in return which was especially helpful.

We stayed in this cabin for two nights and the outside was perfect for are family and kids who had a great time enjoying the hot tube, the home was beautiful, fireplace easy to operate , And we also need to add that Gina been always super responsive, accommodating, and welcoming . Inconclusión this cabin is so clean and peaceful. Strongly recommend
