The house was big enough for our family yet cozy enough to make us feel at home. So many things to do and fishing and kayaking was perfect I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting a family getaway.

The house and grounds are beautiful. The guys fished and played golf. We shopped! We cooked all our meals in an unbelievably stocked kitchen. We even made rhubarb crisp with the rhubarb from the garden! I fell in love with the town of Albert Lea - we hope to plan another family trip to this house in the future.
Thanks so much Emily and Kevin.

We loved staying at Happy Days. The house was very clean. The master bed was so comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. I loved having the garage game room available, esp in case it rained. The kids fished off the dock and got a few nice bass. It was fun having access to the garden. We were able to have some asparagus and rhubarb. It was such a treat. The neighborhood was very quiet and really no traffic by the house. I would highly recommend staying at Happy Days.

This place was fantastic.
We came back to Albert Lea for my Mother’s celebration of life. We were planning on renting hotel rooms until we found this place on VRBO. This place is a dream come true. Everything you need and more than enough room for adults and kids.
The garage was the place the grandkids loved the most.
So much for them to do out there. They loved the kid’s kitchen and so much plastic food was served to us adults. HA HA..
Overall, I would 100% rent this place again and I would 100% recommend this place.

This house was everything I expected and more. We truly enjoyed the house, the game room, the lake and the convenience of the location.
The house was very well stocked minus needing a few more frying pans.
The hosts were very quick to respond to any questions I had and very accommodating.
We all truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking again.

First off, Communication with our hosts was outstanding. This home is not only visually very appealing, because of the logs and themed decorating, but so well setup! The kitchen/dining area became our hub of activity. We prepared breakfasts, lunches, and dinners there and everything we needed and then some was there, right down to enough silverware! We really admired that gorgeous, but not overly fancy dining table.
The screened porch was right off the dining area and a fantastic spot for any time of day, especially great to start a summer morning with the morning shade filtered sun, prayer & books.
The master suite is awesome, very comfortable bed. The huge family sectional sitting area downstairs. perfect for watching movies or hanging out. The grill on the patio off the lower level family room worked well and feeding a dozen people off the grill went well. We had a 16 month old child in our group and it was amazing, from the baby gates, to the the high chairs and crib, to the selection of strategically placed toys! The terraced back yard adorned with an array of flowers, hammock space, and firepit area is cool! The short jaunt down the channel to the main lake is very doable, and the boat launch was literally about 2-3 blocks away, very nice setup there. The garage was really cool, with the foosball and air hockey, workout stuff, bluetooth record player and toddlers kitchen. Plenty of toys for all ages in the garage, the teens liked using the kayaks. Kudos to you guys!

We rented this house for my Mom's 80th birthday so we could all be together. The age range was 11 to 80 and the house was overall perfect for our week. My mom said it was her best birthday ever! Quick pros/cons listed below:
Pros
*Garage with the foosball & air hockey table - we played every day
*Record player/jukebox - so much fun to play the old vinyls and then connect to our music via Bluetooth
*The most well equipped VRBO I have EVER stayed. It had everything we needed & plenty. For example, normally there is only a couple replacement garbage bags, but this house had a box under the sink. Also, was surprised the house had Cutco knives - normally there is only cheap, dull knives.
*Owners were super responsive to questions. Property manager came to take out the garbage & then went home to get extra fans for us after asking if we needed anything.
*Screened-in porch was awesome. As a morning person, I watched the sunrise every morning. One morning there was a storm & enjoyed watching the clouds come in.
*Large kitchen table so we could all sit around and eat/visit
*Easy/close drive to Hyvee, Walmart, many places to eat
Cons:
*Wifi was spotty. It wasn't the router, but the provider.
*Air conditioner was on main level. Downstairs was fine for me, but my brother likes it arctic temp so he wanted extra fans for sleeping (which we received).
*Lake was green so we only kayak'd once from the house. Less than a mile away, the water was clear.

Great place for an extended family to stay. Wonderful accommodations. Very clean. Lots for the kiddos to do. We stayed with our daughters, son in law, and 4 grandsons age 6 and under and it worked well for everyone. Nice parks nearby and quick access to the lake.

W we truly enjoyed our stay. Kevin and Emily were very responsive to our questions before hand, and answering our question while we were there. The kitchen had what we needed, including a crock pot and spices, as well as flour/sugar. There were toys strategically placed where our little one could use them and the garage play area and screen porch were well used by our group. It is very child friendly! We also enjoyed the kayaks. There was a lovely trail nearby for those in our group that wanted to go for walks. The home is beautiful. We definitely recommend it.

Tons of outdoor activities and activities in the garage and games galore! We had a wonderful time. The hosts were so great to work with and we couldn't be happier with our stay!

We had a wonderful vacation staying in this amazing home! It was very clean and well maintained. It was very well stocked for families with little kids. Toys, games, books, air hockey, something for everyone! Since we were visiting in the winter they even had sleds for the children to use. There was also plenty of space to spend time with friends and family. The host was quick to respond to any questions and I would happily stay there again!
