This place is practically closed.
The pool area is sad as there is a pool bar and bbq area that hasnt been used in at least a decade. My wife had to sweep the area up before she sunbathed on horrid dirty plastic sunbeds. There is no restaurant on site as its closed down and no bar either.
The lobby is dark and gloomy and all the sofas smell of cat urine and feces.
Breakfast is not worth getting up for as its just s few sweet cakes and horrible coffee. There is no tv lounge as advertised and the staff cant speak a word of English even though it states that the staff are multi lingual. This us a depressing place to stay i could leave quick enough.

Very friendly staff but they didn’t speak English or understand us. Very far away from the city centre, only one bus go sometimes, bus stop was 15 minutes walk away, no restaurants near, no hotel restaurant, old building, old furniture, you can easily hear noise from other rooms, warm fridge.

Overall it was okay.Super tiny room, the shower cabinet was so tiny that I couldn’t even turn. Not the best experience at all.

Very nice location, easy commute to city center and surrounding towns.

This hotel was as good as closed the pool area was unkempt it was in the middle of nowhere and the restaurant which was advertised was closed. There was literally nobody there and we have been told the hotel is closing down next week. It should never have been open, we seen approx 12 people in the 4 days we were there. It is possibly a result of Covid 19 and that’s sad however it should most definitely not have been open

Great hotel. Beautiful grounds and nice touches throughout. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. We arrived very late, so the restaurant was closed for dinner but they suggested another restaurant, a wonderful suggestion that saved our night.

The Garden Hotel was very nice and clean tbe bed could have been more comfortable but the overall stay was great

Location of the hotel insists that you have a car to move around. It is impossible to find sufficient information on the public transport. Taxi from airport costs ~45 euros (hotel provides also this service). The hotel interior is a bit dated, but it is clean and it doesn't bother much. Service at the reception and bar was excellent. We arrived hungry later afternoon and we got hot sandwiches and some cookies. It was very nice and welcoming.Regarding the restaurant-the prices vs quality is not very good. Pricy meals, but bigger excpectation on taste. We ate dinner 2 times and payd total~100 euros for 2persons. The other negative issue was the TV. For 4*hotel there should be some english langugage channels. At the reception we were told that there are some, but they kept changing location and were very difficult to find. No news channels though. At the room was no information at all regarding channel list. TV itself was big enough size. I understand that when you are on vacation and are spending most of the days at the pool swimming and sun-bathing then the TV has no importance. Unfortunately, we stayed at the hotel total 4 days but on 3 of them rained. No other activities could be found at the hotel -billiard table or book shelf or board games, even no english language newspapers or magazines. The bed mattress was worn out and after few nights backs hurt.We asked them to book us an Etna tour and this was great. They made the call, arranged everything and it went smoothly.

What a great place. Can't say enough about the beautiful plants and trees at the entrance, it must cost a fortune to maintain.

The hotel had a very picturesque entrance. We had a wedding 12 minutes away so the location was good. I should have requested a room with a shower rather than very high bath tub. Also, paid extra for a room with sea view which was really was not there.

Situated outside catania this was a good standard of accomodation with a pool. Decent breakfast. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a little village 300m down the hill which has 2 excellent pizza places a brilliant bakers, amazing fruit and veg shop and a supermarket. These were all excellent value. You can catch the bus to catania from there although the scheduled times were a little 'flexible' so to speak. Taxis are expensive to town(25€)and the airport(49€). Good place if you just want to relax and unwind. Already missing the crazy cockerels next door.

Greeted warmly upon check in and had a nice welcome gift waiting for us in our rooms. Very nice hotel and a great value.

The afternoon desk clerk knew nothing about Hotels.com, our prepayment through Hotels.com, and said that they didnt deal in agents. I waited for the night clerk who said everything was fine and found the prepayment and applied it to the bill such that there was no balance.

Comfortable room and bed, very clean. Good breakfast food with excellent service, but dinner had the same uninspiring menu every night. When head waiter was not on duty the service was extremely poor. only excursion to Mount Etna on offer. this was excellent, but would have appreciated more excursions on offer, e.g. Syracuse, Taormina, and some of ancient mosaics. Bus strike so absolutely marooned with no nearby restaurants.

We decided to stay in this hotel as it appeared to be midpoint between the Catania airport and where we had to be the next day. Navigating the unfamiliar road at night was a challenge, but once we finally made it to the hotel, it was a welcome sight. A wedding was going on and that gave a joyous atmosphere, not disturbing at all. Rooms were clean, furniture modern but not out of step with the grande-dame appearance of corridors and staircases. Great breakfast in a beautiful room, amazing pool area, incredible views from rooftop terraces. Only complaint was that bed was very very hard, but at that point, so tired, could have slept on a bed of nails.

I had an early morning flight out of Catania and the Garden's price was reasonable and it was said to be close to Catania's airport. The hotel is actually at least 20 km distant from the sirport, located north of Catania in a suburb. When I got there I was told that the advertised ariport shuttle service was not available and that I would have to take a taxi which the clerk would arrange with a cab company. At the airport the taxi driver demanded three times the fare the hotel clerk had quoted to me the night before. Since they got me to the airport only forty minutes before my flight left I had to pay up or miss my flight . I had asked for an earlier departure but was told by the clerk that was not possible. You have to eat at the hotel's restaurant unless you have a car-it is good but pricy. The room was old but comfortable. I won't stay here again..

Anexcellent hotel as a touring base for EASTERNSICILY . Anything we asked for was accommodated . Quiet in early June and no evening bar outside the restaurant, . Mainly aimed at Sicilian business clients or local events but worked hard to m ake us welcome.

Have stayed here many times - always a good experience.
