This 2br/2ba house is a delightful barn conversion that is 8 min. from Ross-on-Wye. It is very comfortable, clean, and modern inside with a fully functional kitchen, and ample parking. Laundry is located in a separate building. The house is centrally situated within an hours drive to almost any location within the Cotswolds area that covers 11 counties. It is less than 3 hours driving from London and surrounding airports as well as Southampton. We would highly recommend this place for exploring southwest England!

Cottage was spotless with everything you could need for your stay, and Amanda and Derek were perfect hosts. We really felt a part of their family for the time we stayed with them. My wife loved the felting workshop in the milking parlour! The cottages are set in beautiful, peacefully surroundings, whilst being a short drive from the facilities of Ross on Wye. Will happily return in future.

Little Howle has 3 holiday rentals and Rivington Barn is the jewel in the crown. It is a very well thought out, high spec, barn conversion with a glorious, open plan, upstairs living space and two ample, comfortable, en suite double bedrooms downstairs. Amanda and Derek have thought of your every needs and more and are very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable hosts. There is so much to do and see in the Wye Valley and Little Howle is an excellent base to do this from, then return to for an evening of luxurious relaxation.

From start to finish we were looked after by the owners who wanted to ensure that we had everything we needed and if we didn’t wanted to make it happen.
The property was immaculately presented and had everything you could want in a home from home.
The location was perfect if you just want to get away from it all and have some well earned peace and quiet but close enough to access a wealth of activities and locations.
We will definitely return again
Thank you Amanda & Derek first class host’s

Kitchen has everything you’d ever need. Sofas, beds, showers etc are top draw. Location is short 5/10 min drive outside of Ross but in a beautiful tranquil area. Book it!!

From the outset the holiday accommodation was brilliant. The cottage is beautiful spotlessly clean and wonderfully equipped. The decoration and finish is to the highest standard. I am familiar with self catering and this is top of my list. We hope to visit in future and are strongly recommending family and friends to book. Amanda and Derek were wonderful hosts - best scones ever!

What a smart house! Beautifully set out, everything provided from sharp knives to large wardrobes, comfy beds and tea bags and milk on arrival.
Amanda and Derek were wonderfully kind, with Derek even helping me get the cycle carrier onto our car after my husband broke his arm. Above and beyond the job description, that's for sure! And Amanda helped entertain the kids whilst I was packing up. We really appreciated the kindness as well as the luxury accommodation. We were able to store our bikes in a secure shed so as not to bring mess into the house too.
There are lots of bike trails and running trails nearby, in addition to the more famous ones near Coleford. Loads to do generally. We enjoyed Raglan and Goodrich castles, canoeing on the Wye, the Wye Greenway (cycle path from Chepstow to Tintern with a bat tunnel), Go Ape, swimming off the beach in Ross on Wye and much more.

We had a wonderful 10 nights at Rivington Barn. The property is stunning. We have sometimes found in other properties that the reality is not quite as good as the photos, but here the reality is even better! Everything you could possibly need is there and the standard is really high. Amanda and Derek are wonderful hosts and we will definitely go back.
The area is beautiful and there is so much to see and do around Ross. There are great pubs and restaurants a short drive away. We cannot recommend highly enough.

We originally booked this for New Year - postponed to June due to Covid19. Slight snag for a summer break was lack private outside space although Amanda and Derek were very willing for everyone to use their lovely garden. It would also have been useful to know in advance that shoes were not allowed inside the property (we would have brought slippers) but actually it was warm weather so this was not an issue. Everything else was great and we had a lovely holiday.

Beds and sofas really comfortable. The hosts, Amanda and Derek, could not do more to help. The scones were delicious.

We had a lovely few days at Rivington Barn. Amanda and Derek were charming and made us extremely welcome. From freshly baked bread on our first day to rides on the golf buggy for our daughter, nothing was too much. They should be very proud of what they have achieved and we shall definitely be back.

This is a truly exceptional property, the place has been so tastefully decorated throughout with lots of thoughtful touches making it a very comfortable stay. Amanda is welcoming generous host. The reward of a glass of iced orange juice after cycling up the big hill was truly divine, thank you

My wife and I travel quite often and always use apartments in lieu of hotels. Little Howle Farm apartment is just amazingly beautiful, but Amanda and Derek go above and beyond. Way above and beyond! They are more than just apartment managers, they are committed to you seeing that you have everything you could possibly need. Warm bread delivered on the first morning, fresh eggs, milk, etc and guidebooks on the area along with everything you could possibly need for your first morning. My wife and I have favorite apartments in several countries and some countries we have not found a favorite. But Little Howle Farm is our new favorite in England. Amanda and Derek are simply amazing!
There are many attractions in the area. Ross on Wye is a quaint town (2 miles) with several cute shops. If you are looking for a taste of Italy without having to go there, Bath is your town. Its an hour drive away, but the drive is worth the time. Thanks to Amanda's suggestion, Bath was a trip highlight. Loads of castles in the area. Basing out of Little Howle Farm is a must do.

Four of stayed for a week in The Granary. The accommodation is of the highest standard and very well equipped with great attention to detail. The area is excellent for walking and there are many interesting places to visit within easy reach. Eating out is superb, following the recommendations of the owners Amanda and Derek who are so helpful and attentive. At the end of our stay, we felt that we had been looked after by old friends. We will return!

It's not often you find a place that exceeds your expectations but Little Howle Farm really has that extra wow factor. We stayed in Rivington Cottage and it was fabulous - tastefully furnished and decorated - with lots of personal touches. There is a lovely ambience to the cottage. It probably suits a family with slightly older children as the living space is open plan and up open wooden stairs but we brought a portable stair gate which did the job of keeping our 19 month yr old safe perfectly. The kitchen is well stocked and Amanda and Derek have put a lot of thought into what visitors might need - a folder full of information on things to do, places to eat, local facilities and the welcome breakfast package was very much appreciated. It's an ideal location for walks along the Wye Valley/Forest of Dean, shopping in Ledbury, Hereford etc and visiting places like Goodrich Castle and Symonds Yat. We hope to return in the not too distant future.

A beautiful place to stay both for location and accommodation . Our stay was very enjoyable in what is definitely luxury accommodation. The attention to detail and quality of the property made us feel very special, we didnt want to go. A friendly welcome from the owners and a pleasant stay. Surrounded by stunning countryside and in easy reach of the many attractions of Hereford, Monmouth and Gloucester meant we were spoilt for choice on what to do.
We look forward to returning some day and thank you for making us feel so welcome and special it's a credit to you.

We needed a short stay (two nights) to attend a family wedding, all hotels in the area were fully booked, We found Amanda and Derek who were so accommodating, and they were on site should we have had any problems,(we didn't), my daughter her husband and two boys (age 11 and 8) stayed in the two bedroom barn and myself and husband stayed in the one bed barn, i was emailed beforehand to say that tea, coffee, milk etc for our first night would be provided along with cornflakes, bread and homemade jam for breakfast, in actual fact we had everything needed for our short stay and more besides, i would happily recommend this to family and friends and hope to stay there again soon myself (with or without the grandchildren).
