I was not necessarily familiar with the term "historic rowhouse" and it would have been helpful to have a few more details on what that means. And it would have been nice to know more details about the neighborhood of the location. There was nothing wrong at all but more details and info would have set expectations better.

We spent a long weekend in Pittsburgh for a concert. The house was absolutely adorable! Great location, we were able to walk to PNC Park (25 min), a cute cafe around the corner and a brewery with great food at the end of the street

This property needs a good cleaning. All vents are filthy. Oven, microwave and refrigerator/freezer were dirty. Chose to eat out instead of use the kitchen. The back of the property is a public eye sore. You will never be able to park in the front. There are 2 back spots but there are no numbers and not marked. Drove around back and couldn’t tell which house was ours so had to drive around the front to figure out which one was ours so we could park in the back. Location was great. Short Uber ride to downtown. Pittsburgh was great but this property needs some attention.

This is a fantastic place to stay in the Pittsburgh area. It is a very large and beautifully-decorated row house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the owner to be extremely helpful and friendly. The towels were lovely and we appreciated the ample bathroom and kitchen amenities. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Had a wonderful stay to celebrate my niece's graduation.
A nice old row house, beautifully decorated, and fun to wander through.
Everything seemed newly renovated and we did not have any problems.
Thank you!

It's unfortunate, but my daughter and I came to look at two local colleges, and we ended up leaving early because we felt unsafe and because the unit was dirty. I am leaving this review so perhaps the host could make some improvements, because the unit could be very beautiful if improvements are made. Here is what I found to be disappointing: (1) the ventilation system was filthy. I mean filthy. Not good for health reasons. It needs to be cleaned. It was brown and just plain dirty. Plus the floors. (2) most of the windows either did not lock, or were broken. As a mom, I wanted our windows to actually lock during our stay. I also had to lock the basement door, which was open when we arrived. (3) there were no smoke detectors or CO2 detectors upstairs. Very upsetting. As a granddaughter of a fireman, this was upsetting. I think this is actually a code violation. The detector units were actually pulled from the walls in the bedrooms, and wires were hanging.
(4) no warm note, or coffee or creamer, etc. As a frequent VRBO guest, In my experience, and the reason I book VRBO, it's a very nice added touch.
(5) The street the unit was on was very noisy, and buses literally zoomed by all night. I understand it's a city, but the fact that the windows were broken made it worse.
(6) safety to us was a factor in the location. The car in front of our unit got broken into the night before.
This shortened our stay, sorry to say. I would suggest families not book here. Just my two cents.

My college friends and I stayed at the rowhouse on the last night of a 5-day bike trip from Washington, DC, to Pittsburgh. The host was very accommodating and offered to let us store our bikes on her back porch. The house was impeccably clean and well-appointed with ample room for the six of us. We took an Uber to a great restaurant and brewhouse in a church but could have easily walked 30 minutes over the bridge to the Downtown area. It was a great end to an amazing trip.

6 of us were able to spread out comfortably, which is saying something! No one had complaints on their quarters, and the whole place was absolutely darling! Definitely will recommend for future PGH trips!

Six guys attended a bb tourney in downtown Pittsburgh. We could both walk and drive to our games. Lots of very nice common room and privacy for sleeping. Host Ellie was wonderful! Highly recommend this place for a family or large group or gathering.
3.0 / 5.0
Let me start by saying it was a beautiful space, and that with the right attention, it would have been a nice stay. The problem was in the details. For example there was exactly one-half of one roll of toilet paper in the entire house -- not exactly idea. The towels were hidden in a closet, with nothing in the instructions to explain where they were. Several bedrooms had only overhead lights. There were other issues, but that should give the owner an idea of why it was not an ideal place for our family to stay.

House very clean! Perfect for a large group. Not far from downtown. Would stay again!

Perfect house for a large group. Plenty of space on three levels which allowed for privacy as well as comfy common areas. Location is good for activities in town - almost everything is a five min Uber ride away. Easy street parking too. Ellie was helpful and responsive. Thanks for a great visit to Pittsburgh!

The property was awesome! I really liked the way they used some older antiques to give it a unique style. The beds were super comfy and the location was good! Especially to Penn brewery.

The space was great for comfortable brainstorming and creativity. There were plenty of comfortable spaces for conversation, writing and solo thinking.

I loved our stay. Ellie is one of the best hosts I have ever worked with. Her art work is beautiful, if you have an opportunity to book this home for a special event or weekend, don’t miss it because it was perfect!
5.0 / 5.0
Ellie’s home was perfect for a reunion for myself and three best friends. It was impeccably clean and so charming; from the decor, to the comfortable beds and furniture, and all the space that you had to spread out and enjoy company. The location is fantastic as it’s only a short drive to everything and Penn Brewery is right up the street. Ellie was next door and available for anything we needed and it was wonderful to chat with her any time we crossed paths. The home is the same layout as a home we all rented in college in Oakland twenty-ish years ago, so it was a real trip being back in a home that was new to us but also felt so familiar. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
5.0 / 5.0
Exactly as described and pictured. It was such a spacious space, and very nicely decorated and comfortable. Also very clean and plenty of linens/towels.
It was easy to get to all parts of Pittsburgh from this location. I highly recommend and would stay here again in the future.

My family was going to a concert in the area and I wanted to have a place for my grandbaby to crawl around. The property is exactly as described. Hostess was responsive. There were lots of extra touches throughout the house. Lots of space and linens. Check in and check out was quick and easy. Highly recommended.
5.0 / 5.0
The property manager was as congenial as she was crafty. The full Pittsburgh experience of staying in her spacious property was immersive and heavenly. That items in her extraordinary home were for sale, available to its occupants added to the uniqueness of the stay. The linens so fresh! The bedding so luxuriously soft, I didn't want to get out of bed. The quiet, safe neighborhood was a stone's throw from everywhere we wanted to be. Free parking. Spacious rooms and every amenity predictably placed. Can't wait to return!!
