Our charming early 1900s rowhouse has been thoughtfully renovated to preserve its vintage appeal while incorporating modern amenities for your comfort. It comfortably sleeps 8 guests, ideal for families or groups.

The house's location is unbeatable. You're within a 1-2 mile radius of Pittsburgh's iconic stadiums, including PNC Park, making it a dream spot for sports enthusiasts. The bustling Strip District, known for its unique shopping and dining experiences, is easily accessible, and the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh is just a stone's throw away. The neighborhood is also family-friendly, with the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh nearby, adding to its appeal.

Adding to the experience is your host, Ellie, a small business owner who lives next door. Through her business 'Derive Home,' she specializes in event rentals, design, and custom laser engraving. Guests have the option to enhance their stay with personalized decor setups for special events. Plus, Ellie offers the unique opportunity to pre-order personalized laser engraved gifts as souvenirs or keepsakes for your group.

A beautifully renovated home that comfortably sleeps 8. It's a culinary adventure waiting to happen in one of the city's most vibrant neighborhoods.

Pittsburgh is a food lover's paradise, boasting a variety of outstanding restaurants. A few of my personal favorites include Fig and Ash for their inventive American cuisine, Federal Galley with its diverse food hall experience, the authentic flavors of Nicki's Thai Kitchen, and the innovative dishes at Scratch Food and Beverage.

For those seeking a taste of authentic Hungarian cuisine, the area does not disappoint. Moreover, Pittsburgh Magazine's recent highlights add to the culinary richness of the neighborhood. Places like 40 North at Alphabet City, Alta Via Ristorante, and Back to the Foodture offer diverse dining experiences. The Butterjoint and Casbah are perfect for an upscale evening out, while DiAnoia’s Italian Eatery and Eleven Contemporary Kitchen present exquisite Italian and contemporary dishes, respectively.

Everyday Noodles serves up delightful Asian fare, and Moonlit Burgers is a must-visit for burger enthusiasts. Pusadee’s Garden is known for its lush setting and Thai cuisine, while Sally Ann’s offers a cozy and welcoming dining atmosphere. For a unique culinary experience, Scratch & Co. and The Speckled Egg provide an eclectic mix of flavors. Tacosburgh and Udipi Cafe are excellent choices for Mexican and Indian cuisine lovers, respectively.

With such a rich and diverse food scene right at your doorstep, our rental isn't just a place to stay; it's a journey through some of the best culinary offerings Pittsburgh has to offer. Explore the neighborhood and indulge in a gastronomic adventure that spans the globe, all within the charming and historic setting of Northside Pittsburgh.

Also it's the perfect starting point for a unique local shopping experience. Whether you're into home decor, handcrafted jewelry, or unique art pieces, the surrounding area has a wealth of shopping destinations to explore.

In the trendy Lawrenceville neighborhood, Storehouse Neutral is a must-visit for those who appreciate home decor, apparel, and jewelry crafted by local artisans. This boutique exemplifies Pittsburgh's vibrant maker community and offers a wide range of unique and locally made items.

Another gem in Lawrenceville is Wildcard, known for its eclectic selection of whimsical cards, clothing, and original art prints. It's a haven for those seeking one-of-a-kind gifts and treasures, embodying the creative spirit of Pittsburgh.

For art enthusiasts, Contemporary Craft in Upper Lawrenceville is an unmissable spot. Housed in a repurposed manufacturing facility, this art center not only hosts innovative exhibits and artist-led workshops but also features a retail shop where you can purchase handcrafted objects from emerging and established artists nationwide.

Just a walk away from our rental, PGH Candle’s flagship store on the North Side is a feast for the senses. With its aesthetically pleasing setup, the store offers a range of beautifully crafted candles, perfect for taking a piece of Pittsburgh's artisanal flair back home.

Staying in our historic Pittsburgh rowhouse gives you direct access to these unique shopping experiences. It's not just about finding souvenirs; it's about immersing yourself in the local culture and discovering the creativity and craftsmanship that make Pittsburgh a special place. Explore these local boutiques and take home more than just memories from your stay in Pittsburgh.

This property needs a good cleaning. All vents are filthy. Oven, microwave and refrigerator/freezer were dirty. Chose to eat out instead of use the kitchen. The back of the property is a public eye sore. You will never be able to park in the front. There are 2 back spots but there are no numbers and not marked. Drove around back and couldn’t tell which house was ours so had to drive around the front to figure out which one was ours so we could park in the back. Location was great. Short Uber ride to downtown. Pittsburgh was great but this property needs some attention.

This is a fantastic place to stay in the Pittsburgh area. It is a very large and beautifully-decorated row house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the owner to be extremely helpful and friendly. The towels were lovely and we appreciated the ample bathroom and kitchen amenities. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Had a wonderful stay to celebrate my niece's graduation. A nice old row house, beautifully decorated, and fun to wander through. Everything seemed newly renovated and we did not have any problems. Thank you!

It's unfortunate, but my daughter and I came to look at two local colleges, and we ended up leaving early because we felt unsafe and because the unit was dirty. I am leaving this review so perhaps the host could make some improvements, because the unit could be very beautiful if improvements are made. Here is what I found to be disappointing: (1) the ventilation system was filthy. I mean filthy. Not good for health reasons. It needs to be cleaned. It was brown and just plain dirty. Plus the floors. (2) most of the windows either did not lock, or were broken. As a mom, I wanted our windows to actually lock during our stay. I also had to lock the basement door, which was open when we arrived. (3) there were no smoke detectors or CO2 detectors upstairs. Very upsetting. As a granddaughter of a fireman, this was upsetting. I think this is actually a code violation. The detector units were actually pulled from the walls in the bedrooms, and wires were hanging. (4) no warm note, or coffee or creamer, etc. As a frequent VRBO guest, In my experience, and the reason I book VRBO, it's a very nice added touch. (5) The street the unit was on was very noisy, and buses literally zoomed by all night. I understand it's a city, but the fact that the windows were broken made it worse. (6) safety to us was a factor in the location. The car in front of our unit got broken into the night before. This shortened our stay, sorry to say. I would suggest families not book here. Just my two cents.

My college friends and I stayed at the rowhouse on the last night of a 5-day bike trip from Washington, DC, to Pittsburgh. The host was very accommodating and offered to let us store our bikes on her back porch. The house was impeccably clean and well-appointed with ample room for the six of us. We took an Uber to a great restaurant and brewhouse in a church but could have easily walked 30 minutes over the bridge to the Downtown area. It was a great end to an amazing trip.

6 of us were able to spread out comfortably, which is saying something! No one had complaints on their quarters, and the whole place was absolutely darling! Definitely will recommend for future PGH trips!
