Great stay very comfortable!! Pretty close to everything downtown Grand (quick walk) close to port. Be prepared to climb up the third bunk, even the second bunk if you’re young and frisky might be easy or could be hard It has a lovely patio for outdoors. I think I would put a better lock on the front door though overall stay.

We planned a 4 night stay with 4 adults and 2 children.
THE GOOD: the children enjoyed playing the arcade games. Though one of the guns for the terminator shooting game didn’t work but it wasn’t that big of deal.
THE BAD: We arrived around 9pm and that’s where we realized there is no designating parking, it’s like downtown parking. We had to go around the building a couple times but finally got a spot.

The property was located downtown Galveston and was quiet. Loved the historical, Industrial design of the building. My only negatives on this property is, the bathroom had black mold above the shower, the entry door needs to be replaced because they were seriously weathered and deteriorated. Pest control is needed because we killed two roaches.

Pros: This place is really cute, plenty of room for my family, fun arcade games, great location. Parking was not an issue, we parked right at the front door and never had trouble getting a spot. Accessing the unit was easy, the key box was clearly marked.
Cons: It fell short on cleanliness. The floors were filthy, food crumbs on the dining table, popcorn on the couch cushions, we couldn’t use the space under the bathroom sink or the hairdryer because there was a thick buildup of dust on the surfaces. However, linens and shower/toilet were clean.
Not the owners fault, but the sound coming from the upstairs unit is horrible if you have a bad neighbor during your stay. The first night was fine, we could hear them, but they were quiet by 10pm. 2 nights there was a group that was banging around, partying, cursing, etc until 2am. I’m all for having a good time on vacation, but it was too much when my kids are trying to sleep. 2 mornings before 8am we were awaken by the sound of a saw and hammering and saw a man at the back window. I assume they were doing repairs, but I was startled to walk out the room and see someone in the back patio.
If it were cleaner and if it were just my husband and I, I may give it another try in the future.

Fruit loops on the ground and in couch cushions. Only complaint. Overall was fine.

This place has everything you need. The location is awesome! I loved every part of our four night stay.
The stainless steel appliances are new and work perfectly.
We hit the beach daily and walked the strand at night.
The arcade games are too cool.
This place is located on 25 Street which connects downtown to the seawall. The pleasure pier is located at the end of 25 Street. Fun lots of fun.

Enjoyed my stay and the property is very nice. Minus one star because they sent me the wrong address and I was so stressed out trying to get into the wrong house with the right code. Took about half an hour and talking to several people (who were very nice) to figure it out. If they haven't fixed it, the correct place is two doors down.

This was not our best VRBO experience. Our family booked this loft for one night prior to catching our cruise ship. PROS: As far as location, it was very convenient. It was right up the street from the cruise port and there were lots of restaurants within walking distance. My children also enjoyed the arcade games. CONS: upon arrival, the check in instructions were very unclear. It just said to put in an access code to the key box, but failed to mention there were multiple key boxes at this address and it needed to be the one labeled “guest”. Made it kind of stressful and didn’t hear back from the host when we messaged them. As far as cleanliness, like another reviewer said, the floors were dirty and the walls/baseboards were too. But the most concerning thing was I couldn’t tell if our bed linens had been washed. The towels smelled clean, but the linens did not. The sheets were paper thin and the “coverlet” was also paper thin. As far as sleep goes, this loft is located on the first floor and all walls/ceiling are, like the linens, paper thin. All night, we could hear the family above us footsteps and they brought their dog so it was running across the floor all night, not to mention woke us up 4 times barking. Then before you leave the checkout instructions ask you to “not leave trash in the loft” but give no explanation as where to dispose of it. This place has a lot of potential and improving the aforementioned items would make it a better experience.

We used this location for a quick overnight stay to catch our cruise ship just blocks away. Great location! Kids loved the arcade games. Only issue was the check-in. There are multiple doors so it's kind of confusing it should be clearly labeled to avoid any confusion. I know it is not the fault of the owner but the upstairs neighbors were so loud running back and forth until about midnight. We could not fall asleep until after then because it was loud and annoying. Not sure if it also used as a VRBO or those people live there but just be aware it is a possibility.

Overall we had a great one night stay prior to our cruise boarding the next morning
The location is outstanding, very close to the cruise terminals
The kids (ages 6/5) were crazy about the foosball table and arcade games. They loved the 3 level bunkbed
Check in was difficult - the door at the listed address is not the correct door to enter the property, it is a local business entrance. Thankfully, although it was 9 PM, when we texted the property manager we heard back right away. The correct door is 3 doors to the right (after other street numbers, follow the VRBO arrow), with a master lock box labeled “Guest”
The two bedrooms have open ceilings, so if light/noise is a concern the arrangement isn’t ideal. We turned the lights off and stopped talking when our kids went to bed
There is a large step off at bathroom entrance if you have any concerns about mobility/access. I forgot about the step the first time I left the bathroom and stumbled
We ran laundry next door after going up a flight of stairs. The machines were free to use (not coin operated).
Check out requires you to run the dishwasher, take out all the trash, pile towels in the bathroom. We couldn’t figure out where the trash receptacle was, so that would be useful check out information to have.
Street parking is free from 6pm-9am, and then is limited to 2 hour parking between 9am-6pm (so we left before 11am), check out is at 11am in any case.
We would stay again!

The flat was really cute. Perfect for family of 4.
Location was walking distance from The Strand and a short drive to Pleasure Pier and the beach! The only issue for us was the back door It would not open. Maintenance came out to open it but once you lock it, it doesn’t open again. That is my only complaint. We will definitely stay there again. Hopefully the back door will be fixed.

Such a cute and cozy place with excellent proximity. We had a 1yr old so noise on the strand was a concern but we still needed to be close. This spot was perfect! A few noises from the apartment neighbors who have to walk up stairs but no one was out late or overly noisey. House was well equipped for a short stay.
8.0 / 10.0
Positive notes: great location, close to bars, restaurants & The Strand (walkable). Roomy for the 4 of us. Game room was a hit. Cute decor. King bed mattress very comfortable.
Could be improved upon: although the apartment reeked of bleach when we arrived, the floors were not clean (our socks were filthy within a couple hours), the corners of the bathroom also needed some serious attention. Triple bunks mattresses extremely uncomfortable. Was required to remove trash at checkout but there were no trash bins available. Had to call BeachBox Rentals, because the emails I received would not allow me to respond to them, to report the bleach smell and a fire alarm that was constantly beeping. The agent was friendly and did let us know the beeping was from an apartment managed by a different company. It was terribly annoying. The listing said free parking but the check-in email said paid parking only. The listing also said washer/dryer, hair dryer and bikes. The bikes were locked and there was no hair dryer or washer/dryer. Please print out instructions for the A/C units as they were difficult to figure out. Paint the chunks of peeling paint in the bathroom. Vacuum the tufted ottoman’s to remove the small chunks of food. We did have a good time but wouldn’t stay there again unfortunately.

We stayed for one night before we got on our cruise ship. The spot was convenient in proximity to the cruise terminal and was very close to downtown. We walked to dinner that night and explored a little of the downtown area before we checked in with a cruise.
The host was very available for questions and was very helpful. Check in was a little strange trying to find the box with they keys, but not impossible.
Would definitely stay again.

Check in was very confusing. The owner/manager was very quick to respond. It was advertised that soap was provided in the bathroom but it wasn't enough for 2 people, 2 nights. I suggest bring your own. Plenty of towels were provided. The floors needed to be swept but other than that it was clean. The aracade games were so fun! Great location. We will stay here again.

We spent part of our family vacation here and the place was absolutely beautiful. The host was extremely helpful and responded in a timely manner. The strand in Galveston is only a short walk away. I would definitely recommend to friends and family and we will be staying here again.

We had a great time here and the arcade games and foosball table provided were a really neat experience. We had no issues with cleanliness, beds were prepared for us, and the owner was very quick to communicate. The best part - this location is walking distance from The Strand and many restaurants near it. The people we met in the area were very friendly as well. Nearby parking was free for 2 hours, and free between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. Overall, this was a enjoyable location with great proximity to places to visit in the area.

We absolutely loved this gem! We celebrated my birthday this weekend and I am so glad we lucked up on finding it. It’s distance to The Strand is amazing!! The inside of this place is gorgeous and the added games were a HUGE hit for my kids! Communication was wonderful too! Highly recommend 🎉We can’t wait to rent again!

We chose this place because it did not have stairs and my husband has bed knees. It is totally ground level -yeah. Very quiet area. Parking was not an issue. We parked right in front. Comfortable beds, hot water nice appliances, good tv and VERY clean. We know Galveston so knew how to get around but it is still pretty close to major streets. We walked to Maeco imports to eat one night but drove other places and the beach. Thanks for the visit.
