About this cottage rental
Historic brick cottage has its own granite monument on Main Street. Private gated parking, huge fenced front yard. A history buff’s dream! So many restaurants and shops, Frontier Park, parades, festivals and fun!
Very comfortable sleeping - queen bed in the bedroom and gel foam mattress on the sofa bed in the living room.
Parking is at a premium on Main Street, but you leave the car and walk everywhere, knowing your car is inside the gated area waiting for your return. There is room for four cars, or even an RV!
Check out the City’s website for all of the activities going on in the area. The holidays are especially fun with special events like ice carving contests, costumed characters, singing on the street corners, and Santa parades. Festival of the Little Hills, OktoberFest, and Fourth of July fireworks on the river are just a few of the things unique to the Historic District.
Some favorite restaurants on Main Street are Old Millstream, Magpie’s, Salt and Smoke, Llewelyn’s, and Novellus - and there are many, many more!

You don't get more old town St. Charles than this. Great gated private parking, very unique history with the house, comfortable bed, and awesome communication from host. This is a must do.

This property and host are wonderful! It's a beautiful, historic cottage in a charming part of old St. Charles, steps from Frontier Park and with nice walks on boutique- and restaurant-lined Main Street or along the greenbelt beside the Missouri River. The cottage is pretty and comfortable, with many thoughtful details in its furnishings. And the host Lynn couldn't be nicer -- she even loaned us an umbrella when we checked in on a rainy day! Highly recommend.

Headquarters House is just the perfect spot for exploring Saint Charles and the surrounding area. At the top end of Main Street, the home is removed from most of the noise and traffic, yet within easy walking distance to all the shops, cafes and interesting sites. The house is ideal for a couple’s retreat, and it has everything you need for comfort. Lynn was there to greet us and show us around, and she was quick to respond to questions during our stay. She also gave us good restaurant tips and mentioned some sites we should check out while in town. Overall, Saint Charles was all we hoped for and our stay at Headquarters House made it even better. We highly recommend!

Wonderful visit to a beautiful area! The weather didn’t cooperate for all of our activities but we were able to make the best of it. A nice variety of restaurants within walking distance made meal-planning very easy.

We really enjoyed our stay at this super neat historic house! The location is amazing, and the neighborhood is adorable. The house has a locked fence around it with a huge driveway. There are several restaurants (coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner, ice cream shops and bakeries) and shops to walk to. The people of the town are so nice. It's a perfect mix of Hermann and Eureka Springs! It's close enough to uber to the cardinals game and there is a ton of places to eat and go to, in the surrounding communities.

From the get go, we were impressed with Lynn’s communication and the booking process. Upon arrival, Lynn met us at the property and walked us through. She gave us wonderful suggestions for things to do while we were in town upon request. The property was absolutely perfect. We could not have asked for a better location or stay for our getaway!

I was in a bind and needed a place at the last minute. Lynn was great and accommodated us. She even let us check in early. The house was immaculate, and one of the most interesting houses we’ve stayed in. It’s a historical site, and the inside is decorated wonderfully. So much to appreciate. We always love staying on Main Street in St Charles. A step back in time. And the Streets of St Charles property just down the road has exploded with restaurants, bars, restaurants, movie theater, and fun activities. I can’t recommend this property more highly. I am a frequent VRBO guest, and this property was just stellar!

Lynn's property is a beautiful little house right in the heart of historic St. Charles. We stay two nights and loved it. Comfortable and charming little house. Beautiful front yard with outdoor seating and killer view of Main Street. Easy parking and of course access to the river front and right on Main Street. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Lynn was very responsive, friendly, flexible and helpful. Highly recommend!

My husband and I came for a quick anniversary trip. The place is just adorable. Right on main street which makes access to shopping and dining so convenient. We loved that we didn't have to get into our vehicle at all. Bed was comfy and Lynn was so accommodating! We hope to be back next year!
