About this house rental
First time available!
From The Davis Ridge, witness the sunrises and sunsets over the mountains from the balcony, take a dip in the heated pool, get cozy and warm next to the wood fireplace (free firewood included), cook a delicious meal on the outdoor grill, and end the day toasting from the balcony and cuddled by the fire. You're only a few minutes from all the major sites and attractions in the area. The Davis Ridge is calling.
The space:
The Davis Ridge is a spacious 1 Bed, 1 full bath home that also has a full size pull-out sofa bed. There is a full kitchen and large outdoor balcony that overlooks the ski resorts and mountains connecting them.
A cozy fireplace, with free firewood included, will provide you with the perfect ambiance throughout the day.
There are trails right from the parking lot that take you as far as you want to go. You are surrounded by the beautiful wilderness of the Canaan Valley, yet you are only five short minutes to Davis. Thomas is only a couple minute past that. It's the best of both worlds.
There are no reasons to worry about the access in the winter. The roads to and from the property and the driveway on the property are all plowed at the first sign of snow and there is no steep road or driveway to drive on.
Guest access:
Guests have free access to:
-The hiking trails straight from the property and into the Monongahela National Forest.
-The heated swimming pool
-Basketball and tennis courts
-Picnic areas and charcoal grill
Other things to note:
Please refer to the physical manual on the coffee table and check out the Canaan Valley tourism site for more information on the area. If you're wanting trail maps of the area, Strava and AllTrails are both good apps to use. Download offline Google Maps if you're headed further away from civilization. It's a must.
Have good time =)

Decor was beautiful. Great views nearby. All attractions and dining were close and easy to get to. Very peaceful.

This place was so nice and convenient to everything we wanted to do. If there are more than 2 people staying you may want to bring an air mattress as the pull out couch was not comfy, but other than that I can’t complain and we had an amazing time!

We had a wonderful stay at the Davis Ridge/Beaver Ridge apartment. The apartment was clean and inviting when we arrived and everything we need for a comfortable stay was there waiting for us. I had my wife and 2 grandsons (6yo and 10 yo) and had plenty of sleeping space with the pull out sofa and queen bed. We were within a manageable drive to all the sites we wanted to see. We were able to go to Smoke Hole Cavern, Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob and Spruce Knob Lake, Blackwater Falls, and even went to Cass Scenic Railroad without feeling overwhelmed from driving. I can only hope this apartment is available the next time I can make it to the area.

We were very pleased with our stay, and greatly enjoyed the surrounding views and our visit to the state parks. Our only disappointment was that some local businesses weren't open until the day we had to leave.

We had a little trouble checking in because I hadn't received the door code and couldn't get a signal. Luckily a cleaning lady had the wifi password so I could contact the host & he called me with the code

This cute condo has charm and it’s in a beautiful location. Unfortunately it wasn’t as clean as it should be - black hairs on the shower wall and bathroom floor. The hair dryer was in a cupboard next to and touching the toilet plunger. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were both flat and lumpy. The bed squeaked very loudly. The home was not well-equipped: just one roll of toilet paper, no kitchen sponge or scrubber, only one dishwasher pod, no soap or gel for the shower, no bath mat. Overall this was a very average stay at a good price.

We had a lovely stay in WV! The condo was well located to get to both some amazing wilderness (Dolly Sods via Blackbird Knob Trailhead) & into Thomas/Davis. The cafe scene is solid in Thomas. Thanks so much!

The place looked similar to the picture uploaded. It felt cozy and warm. There were all of the essentials available inside the apartment. There were other amenities within the property, which we did not use but we saw. We had a really nice weekend and created a lot of memories.
Just be careful driving around the mountains, there are few sharp turns around.

We enjoyed our stay at the Davis Ridge. The mantle lights are a nice touch. It was conveniently located to the small towns of Davis and Thomas, along with Blackwater Falls State Park, Dolly Sods Wilderness, & Seneca Rocks. Communication from the property manager was prompt and attentive. We even saw 4 inches of snow the last morning we were there! We went to see Blackwater Falls that we had also seen 3 days earlier. The snow framed the falls beautifully!

Great accommodations for our quick getaway trip! Had everything we needed and great location for hiking nearby as well as restaurants in Davis and Thomas. Made it to the Purple Fiddle 2 nights for entertainment, too!

Needed a smaller place for my girlfriend and I for a weekend stay. This fit all of our needs at a very reasonable price! Was very happy with the property and had no issues at all. Jared was quick to respond with any questions leading up to our stay and made sure we were taken care of. 10/10 recommend this property. We look forward to maybe staying here again in the future as a weekend isn’t long enough to take in all the sights Davis has to offer!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Davis Ridge for a Moonlight on the Falls marathon and this condo was so perfect! From beginning to end Jared was on top of communication and was so helpful and quick to respond. The location was amazing, so close to the state park and the towns. We enjoyed many meals out in Davis and Thomas as well as exploring around and sightseeing. The condo had everything we needed and it was quiet and comfortable. We didn’t end up using the fireplace but there was tons of firewood which would be perfect if it was colder out. We would definitely come back here again! :)

Beautiful surrounding areas…Beautiful condo that was decorated like a cabin in The woods! This was our first trip to WV and our first time to explore this area! We had such an incredible day of exploring and spent the evening at the Purple Fiddle with live music! Wish we had more time to spend I. The adorable town of Thomas! This condo is close to everything and the owner responded to a small concern immediately!

We needed to get out of Morgantown to clear our heads in beautiful WV hill country. This was the perfect place: clean, quiet, well-appointed and most of all centrally located for all points of the compass including Canaan Valley, Blackwater Falls, Davis and Thomas. Gracious host. This will be our go-to place for future getaways.
