Thoughtfully provisioned, tastefully decorated and well furnished. Very secluded. The single lane gravel road to access it is quite tricky. Both bedrooms are on 2nd floor, accessed by very steep and narrow stairs. Single bathroom on 1st floor is nicely appointed. All appliances seemed to work fine. Lovely secluded wooded setting. Railroad tracks at the edge of yard must be crossed on foot to get to Jenkins Lake where there's a wide sandy beach and canoes/kayaks to use, but there was no one there in mid-September. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck at dusk to hear the loons calling. We would return !

The cabin was very quiet and peaceful. The decor was to my liking and the beds were very comfortable. Michelle was very prompt with replies to my texts.

We loved Michelle’s cottage with lake views! It was cozy, charming, clean and housed the four of us very comfortably. We loved the location, tiucked in the woods, with lake views and dock access with kayaks and canoe. Our stay was perfect, and wish it could have been longer. Easy access (45 minutes) ti Acadia.

The little cottage was perfect for me and my mom! My mom found the place and fell in love with it when she saw it. We sort of thought we were in the middle of a Stephen King book based on the road we needed to take to get to the property, but we loved the stay. We also love Stephen King so honestly it was so worth it. It was perfect! Thabk you!!!

The deck does truly have a nice view of the lake. Easy walk down to the kayaks. Michelle had the house well stocked - from coffee and creamer to toilet tissue and laundry detergent. Lots of clean towels, even outdoor towels and lifejackets. Just know that the road is narrow and two cars cannot pass each other, so come down that short distance carefully, especially if it’s dark when you arrive or head out. Michelle was always, and I mean always, fast to reply and incredibly helpful with answers to questions and suggestions based on my interests. I was there for over a week and would definitely recommend staying here. Oh, I should add, that there’s a nice view from the window upstairs in the bedroom that looks out over the lake. Both bedrooms are up there.

Perfect cottage to get away from it all. Easy to access lake with plenty of equipment. Wonderful communication home owner went above and beyond to make this a comfortable and fun experience. Would love to come back.

The cottage was a perfect space for our fanily of 4. It was quiet and it had all the little things to make for a great stay. The kids loved swimming. We loved all the adventures that were a short drive from the cottage.

We enjoyed our time in Michelle’s home. She was a wonderful host and even offered to pick up groceries and put away prior to our arrival! Home is adorable and the property is well maintained. We spent most of our time in Acadia ( about an hour drive with traffic) but kids still found time to enjoy the kayaks and swimming off the dock on the property. Would highly recommend staying here!

We were continually charmed by the character and cheery touches in this cottage. Our family came to Maine to enjoy Acadia National Park, and though this house was a bit of a drive away, our family looked forward to returning to this sweet retreat. The cottage was impeccably clean, and had all the amenities we wanted plus some. Some coffee and tea supplies were available if you wanted to enjoy a cup and take in a view of the lake. Our kids enjoyed the board games and books that were there as well. The host was extremely responsive, and even offered to pick up a grocery order and have it ready for us when we arrived. Our three-year-old called it our “sweet home,” and we would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a cozy place to stay!

Michelle and this cabin are a gem! We could be happy here for months! 😃 It was everything I hoped for, & more. 1st, Michelle was incredibly helpful and a great communicator. She texted before our arrival with details and offered to answer any questions. Upon arrival there were (typed) very helpful notes on the fridge. 2nd, the cabin was not only in a beautiful location, and easy to get to, but it was fully stocked with plenty of the needed kitchen items, bath towels and shampoo, and a very useful washer and dryer, a deck with plenty of chairs for the amazing views. What made this rental extra special was how beautifully accessorized it is - think comfortable furniture, a writing desk with pens and paper, a mud room for our ice chests/coats/boots, and the décor was simple, restful, lovely (art work), and the couch with a large cuddle blanket (essential for those of us that are always cold). Our 1st morning, I watched the sunrise over the lake from the deck! It's so beautiful, peaceful, quiet. Just a few birds chirping, & a lone rooster in the background. I curled up on a deeply cushioned Adirondack chair on the back deck, with a soft blanket. Then, I watched a bald eagle drift by! This is perfect. During the day, we explored Acadia – hiking multiple trails, wandering thru the winding roads (note: cell is limited on the island), and discovered Bar Harbor. Then, we headed back to “our” wonderful cabin. We. Loved. Our. Stay!

This was a wonderful find. Cottage was charming, clean, and well appointed. It had everything we needed. Host was accommodating and kind; even offering to do a grocery pick up for us! It was a delightful stay, and we would come back!

Great two bedroom house with all the comforts of home. Great views of Green Lake whch has clear waters, loons, eagles, good fishing etc. Tenants have access to sandy Jenkins beach a 5 minute walk from house with large protected swimming area. Also, house has nce private dock, two kayaks and great canoe. We used rock firepit to roast marshmallows. Inside there is: very well equipped kitchen, nice dining space, comfortable living room with very comfortable day bed, a separate desk/workspace, good wifi access and TV for streaming channels. Full size washer, dryer and nice bright bathroom. Spacious deck has comfortable seating and tables for eating outside. Weber gas grill works great. And the place is very private with trees and grassy yard surrounding the property. Hosts responded promptly to every inquiry with helpful advice. Always gave us advance warning before coming to mow lawn. One bedroom has an AC unit, both bedrooms have window fans. We rarely used AC during July/August because house has good natural ventilation/windows throughout. Spent a very comfortable and relaxed two months here and highly recommend.

This is the perfect location for exploring the area. I spent my weekend hiking in Acadia NP and exploring Bar Harbor and Camden. The cottage worked well for me and was perfectly appointed.

One of a handful of houses on this wooded road, it’s very private. The cottage is adorable and eclectic. The beds were very comfortable & kitchen easy to cook & bake in. I loved sitting on the deck & listening to the neighbor kids play in the lake (beyond the trees) & the loons in the early morning hours. I went into Acadia National Park to hike, ate & shopped in both Ellsworth & Brewer/Bangor. Michelle is as a wonderful host! I would definitely rent again!

Michelle's place exceeded expectations. The cottage was clean and had all the conveniences. The location was amazing with a lake out back. This was one of our all time favorite vacation rentals to stay at.

Michelle is the ABSOLUTE sweetest person! She made this whole stay so easy and enjoyable. There was not a thing that she doesn’t offer here. We had difficulties flying in and she was so accommodating with us. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would!

Michelle was exceptional communicative, the house was clean and perfectly set up. It was quaint and the views were stupendous. The day bed was comfy and the bathroom was excellent. The directions she gave to find the place were right on point. 10/10 would definitely stay again.

This quaint cottage was the perfect end to our trip. After nearly a week in Cambridge, it was a welcome reprieve from the city. The lake view from the deck and hummingbird feeder (all from the comforts of a rocking chair) made us wish we could have stayed longer. We enjoyed paddling around the lake in the kayaks provided. We soaked in the peace & quite and explored Acadia NP a short 40 minute drive away. The host was so accommodating and every detail was attended to for our comfort. We’d love to return someday.

First time Maine visitors with the added bonus of it being our honeymoon and we couldn’t have picked a better location, host and home. Seriously if your wanting to site see but enjoy lovely lake views each morning and night without crowds this is the PLACE. Our hosts made us feel welcomed from the moment we booked, notes for our arrival and endless recommendations. For first time hosts they know how to make you feel at home. Our favorite parts: - lake access for kayaking and fishing - humming birds actively coming up to the feeders - sunrise over the lake with the coffee provided - host recommendations for local eats - Our hosts Michelle and her family making us feel at home

Absolutely enjoyed our stay in this charming little cottage over looking the lake. Michelle, the owner was very responsive when we had a question during our stay. The cottage was very clean and everything was provided for a pleasant stay. Highly recommended!

The house was very nice. Michelle was thoughtful in her preparation - we got a personalized card, a pot for lobsters, not to mention bug spray to ward off mosquitoes. Had lots of fun, especially with the kayaks (just took a bit of muscle to get to shore).
