About this cabin rental
Welcome to Mountainbrook!
We are delighted that you chose to stay at our humble home here in Davis, WV. We hope that you find your stay with us to be relaxing, reinvigorating, and full of whatever adventures you love the most.
About the house:
The cabin offers 3 bedrooms (2 with ensuite bathrooms), and a loft, with a total sleeping capacity of 10. Enjoy your morning coffee or a meal on the front porch, and bring in the evenings on the back deck in the hot tub, surrounded by nothing by the trees.
The home is located within the Old Timberline community which is gated with a 24 hour security guard, offers two large lakes, 500 acres of conservancy land, and access to both the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge and the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area. The community also abuts Timberline Ski Resort; Mountainbrook is very close to Timberline, which means you can hit the slopes in under 5 minutes!
When you enter the main living space, you will be greeted by a cozy space with lofted ceilings and a spacious, well appointed kitchen. Appliances include a large stainless steel refrigerator, microwave, range, and wine refrigerator. There is a lovely wood burning fireplace and large TV in the living room which offer a comfortable place to lounge and enjoy time with loved ones.
Continuing through the home, you will find two expansive bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms. The Gray Room is equipped with a queen sized bed and double doors to the back porch so you can wake up enjoying the best views into the woods. The Green Room is equipped with a king bed, a large reclining chain, and a TV.
Going up into the loft, there is a double bed and a stacked twin bed set, allowing for up to 4 to sleep in this fun space! There is also a workspace outfitted with an extra monitor, so if you have to take some work calls, you can do so from the top of the home, overlooking the driveway and maybe peeping a few of the local deer.
In the lower level of the house, there is a third bedroom, with a king sized bed and a large desk. This space offers a quiet refuge from the rest of the house, with an additional living space, and a full bathroom down the hall. The laundry is also located on this floor. Please also note: There are two external security cameras (front door, driveway), not monitored during guest stays. All wheel drive or chains are often required during winter months. Vehicles not equipped can be parked in gatehouse parking area.

Tori was a joy to have as a host. She made us feel so welcomed. The home was clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Lots of games, a beautiful kitchen, and comfortable beds. The hot tub was an added bonus! Thank you Tori for a wonderful stay!

It is a beautiful cabin. Our kids enjoyed staying in the loft, and going fishing at the community lake, and Trout pond. Not to far from other activities. We visited Black Waterfalls State Park, Smokehole Caverns, & climbed Seneca Rocks.
The only thing the cabin could use is a upgraded pot & skelet set. Also I think there should be aloud to be more than six people to stay at the cabin. My kids grandpa & grandma would of loved to come & stay with there grandchildren, but the cabin said maximum of 6 people . So only with me & and my husband & 3 children there. The two King Suit bedrooms was empty & never used the hole time. I'm just putting it out there there is more room for more than six people to stay there specially if its a family vacation.
But put all that aside the cabin is beautiful. It was relaxing to hear the creek off the back deck. We enjoyed the hot tub a few times. We love the private community it is in, and plan to visit it agian soon.
that cabin could us a upgraded pot & skelet

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. The cabin was very clean and looked exactly like the pictures. The area was secluded but not that far from local restaurants and shops. Will definitely be staying here again.

We greatly appreciated the hot tub after hiking seneca rocks. Having a covered front porch was a benefit during periods of rain.

Family friends stayed at the cabin and had a wonderful time. Great location (hiked at Blackwater State Park) and amenities. Very responsive and accommodating host.

A little dated, and needs minor repairs, otherwise v nice

It was a nice cabin in a great location, especially for skiing, but I don't think I'd stay there again. None of the problems would be too difficult to fix though. One of the beds had a few hairs on the sheets when we pulled them back and we weren't sure if the sheets had been changed since the previous group stayed. The hot tub was 65 degrees and took the entire first night to heat up. There was something like a mouse or flying squirrel living in the wall by the chimney. Also, the stairs were pretty steep to not have a hand rail. If I knew these issues were fixed, I would absolutely stay in this cabin again. If I wasn't sure though, I'd prefer to stay somewhere else.

Neat property. Very comfortable beds. More spacious than the listing pictures capture. Partially renovated but still could use some touch ups. I'd ditch the charcoal grill for a gas, took far too long to get up to heat.
Would stay here again in the winter months.

We've stayed here twice and really enjoyed it. It has cute decor and everything you need in the kitchen. The dishwasher does not run great so we resorted to hand washing our dishes, but that's the only negative. It's only a 2 min drive to Timberline Mtn, has great water pressure, and comfortable beds.

The cabin was warm and welcoming and was the perfect place to gather with a small group of friends. It’s location was a great jumping off point for a variety of winter activities and the check in/check out process was smooth and easy.

We loved out stay! We enjoyed games by the firs and post hiking hot tubs! Very comfortable and beautiful

This place was perfect for our family. We came to Timberline for a few days of skiing and hiking, and this place was great. We were a 2 minute drive from the lifts. Thumbs up from the entire family!

Nice home in a peaceful, wooded setting.
the hot tub was fabulous.

A very nice house, and being inside timberline gets you really easy access to Dolly Sods, which is wonderful. Nice hot tub with a great view of the stars from it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is nestled into the woods at the base of Mountainside road and is super cozy. Very clean property with a nicely updated kitchen on the main floor, along with two bedrooms and living room with fireplace. The basement living area and bedroom look great, and the upstairs lost sleeps several. The back deck, with hot tub, is fantastic.
Property owner very responsive and provided detailed info about all aspects of the property.
Highly recommend.

It was a beautyful house with very nice surrounding.
Much comfort and very quiet.
Really good.

The stay was amazing! Less than five minute drive up to Dolly Sods, no crowds, very private location to enjoy the beauty of the mountains. We hiked all day and came back to the cabin and was able to unwind in the hot tub. House was extremely spacious. Excellent location for fall foliage.

This house is in a great location, close to hiking, shopping and restaurants. Plenty of room for 4 adults - we each had our own space (with one in the loft).

We had a beautiful visit at this property. The location and neighboring towns felt so safe and homey. We went hiking in Dolly Sods which was absolutely gorgeous in the fall time. Only stayed two nights but we made the most out of our visit by visiting Davis and enjoying the hot tub!

We stayed for our anniversary! Had 4 adults. Cabin had plenty of rooms, fully equipped and beautiful inside and out! Definitely recommend!

Very nice. Everything we expected.

The cabin was large & beautiful. The lower level stayed nice & cool even in July. The location was very convenient to the town of Davis and the Dolly Sods wilderness area. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We were two couples and a nearly two year old staying for 3 nights. The cabin had plenty of room to stretch out with two separate living spaces and extremely comfortable beds. The kitchen was huge and had everything needed to prepare excellent meals, and we also took advantage of the charcoal grill. We did some hiking in the area (Go to the top of mountainside drive for some excellent hiking and views!) and coming back to the hot tub was a nice touch. The area was beautiful and we would absolutely return to this cabin again in the future.

I have backpacked at Dolly Sods for 50 years. It is challenging and magnificent. Now, it is good to know, that after a day of hiking, there is simple comfort at your well located home. We enjoyed cooking in your modern kitchen, dined on the deck and slept well on your firm bed. Thank you!

We were a group of 4 guys on adventure motorcycles, looking for a weekend base from which to explore nearby trails to ride.
This cabin was ideal in every way, and more than met our expectations in terms of available space, comfort, amenities, location and value for money.
The downstairs entry into a large mud-room was perfect for shedding and storing our dirty riding gear each day.
The cabin has lots of indoor and outdoor common area space, and an awesome hot tub on the back deck that was perfect for tired muscles after a long day's ride.
The kitchen has everything you would typically have in your own home, including all the basic condiments for meal preparation. The rooms were surprisingly spacious with very comfortable beds.
All in all, it was the ideal space for our group and we are already planning a return trip in the near future.

We all loved the cabin. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. The hot tub was used several times and was enjoyed by everyone.
We also liked that it was centrally located to all the activities in which we were interested.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Property was correctly advertised and met our expectations. Clean and modern kitchen. Spacious house with large bedrooms and a cute loft. The host communicated promptly when we had questions. The hot tub on the back deck was a favorite for to spend quiet afternoons. Property was close to Dolly Sods so it was easy to go on a couple of great hikes. We will visit again.

The photos don’t do it justice - this cabin is stunning. The property is amazing and incredibly peaceful with a broom circling the back yard. The interior of the home is well appointed - you will want for nothing. So much attention to detail. The property owner was a joy to deal with. We will return - it was a great time!
