We are Folly Locals, not a company, that live on the island full-time, and love to share our special spot when travel plans allow. We fully restored this classic 1961 ocean view cottage and are excited to share it with friends and family! With stunning views from nearly every room in the house, top-of-the-line waterfront hot tub, fishing dock and the steady sea breezes, you may not want to leave!

Our location is one of the most unique on the island, the "Washout," where the river and ocean are just 200 feet apart. The large, grassy yard boasts panoramic views of the Folly River, and the 400ft long dock is an amazing spot for sunsets, happy hour, fishing, or paddle boarding.

The primary living space on the second floor features an open layout kitchen with a 14' kitchen island, Italian appliances, on-demand hot/cold filtered water, and farmhouse sink. You'll find a generous primary king bedroom, with en-suite bath, his + her sinks, and walk-in shower, along with two additional efficiency queen bedrooms and a second full-bath in the hallway (see detailed floorplan in photos).

The breezy 450sqft screen porch features high-end furniture, outdoor dining area, and stunning river and ocean views. Th house is equipped with x-finity wifi (1,000mb DOWN/25mb UP), Apple TVs, a Youtube TV subscription, and a SONOS speaker system across 3 zones (including outdoor).

Downstairs you'll find additional living quarters in a King Bedroom Mother-In-Law Suite, living room with TV, full bath, and kitchen. Please note, the downstairs kitchen will include some essentials, but not a full suite of cookware. In total, four bedrooms: two king suites, and two queen bedrooms.

Outside you'll discover a beautiful yard along with two separate hot/cold outdoor showers, new HotSpiring Hot tub, plenty of under-house storage for golf carts (must be rented from a local company) and beach gear. There are also numerous outdoor sitting areas on the wrap-around decks, storage barn (not included in rental), or pierhead at the end of our dock.

The entire property has been landscaped with barefoot-friendly sod, low-voltage lighting, LED's on the dock, and thoughtful touches throughout. Our creek is tidal but offers great fishing and crabbing and higher tides. The location offers stunning views of the Morris Island Lighthouse, Cooper River Bridge, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Folly River.

This property has been lovingly remodeled and carefully furnished because it is our primary residence when we are in town. This is not your typical "quick and dirty" Folly Beach Rental, we are seasoned Mom+Pop hosts, not a management company, and sharing our personal, primary residence with your family to enjoy. This is not a house for parties or large gatherings. We ask that you treat our home with care and respect.

Do we get the entire property?

YES! The building in the back yard is our private storage area/workshop so you will have exclusive access to the property.

Do you provide beach towels?

NO, please bring your own. Our amazing housekeeping team does a fantastic job cleaning and providing supplies but you will need to bring your own beach towels, beach blankets, tapestries, chairs etc for your beach hang outs. Please do not take our blankets, towels, sheets etc. out on the beach for any reason.

Do you have a grill?

No, unfortunately due to liability / insurance we do not have a gas grill on the property.

What's the building in the back yard?

That is our storage barn + art workshop. It remains locked while we rent our home.

How do I get to the beach?

There is a public access 3 houses to the north, or 5 houses to the south!

How far is it to historic Downtown Charleston?

It is approximately 10 miles, or a 20 minute drive to the Charleston peninsula.

Can I rent a golf cart?

Yes, there are several rental companies that have a variety of different low speed vehicles available. Folly is a great place to explore and enjoy by golf cart.
