My family had a lovely stay at the RileyRoo, the outdoor shower was a major plus, great location and cute house!

Riley Roo was perfect for our week in Cape Charles. The downstairs bedroom was perfect as my husband has a difficult time with stairs. The fenced yard was great for our dogs.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was well equipped with basics such as seasonings, cleaning products, etc. The owner was very responsive when we contacted her. Our old pup -Riley enjoyed it too and it was definitely extra special that the home was name Riley-Roo! Thank you so much for a great stay.

Neat older home, tons of character. Great for the dog with fenced yard and mobility challenged 93 year old with 1st floor suite. Please mow the grass.

We enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing week. The house is clean and well maintained. Fenced in backyard is perfect for traveling with a dog. The house is set up very nicely. It is obvious that a lot of thought was put into anticipating the needs of all guests staying here. The owners were very quick in responding to our question. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Property was great for three adult couples.

House was clean and cozy. It was a short walk to the beach and the shopping on main street. The backyard was completely fenced in, which was perfect for our two small dogs. The kitchen was also very well equipped as I did some cooking for our family's Thanksgiving meal.

House was surprisingly spacious

Comfortable, well-equipped, enough room for multi-generation family with young children. It is an older home needing some attention to a few minor repairs. Location good, great communication with property manager and owner. Our family enjoyed our trip to Cape Charles and this rental very much!

This house was perfect for my family of 2 adults, 2 young children, and a small dog. The bedroom layout is great and the house was well equipped with gates, toys, bedrails, kitchen supplies, and a grill. Wifi and TV options were up to date and very functional. The house is walking distance to the beach and entire town as well as The Oyster Farm restaurant. The backyard is fully enclosed (the fence doesn't have gaps for dogs to squeeze through) which was helpful.
The owner was very responsive with a few of my minor questions, which I can't say has happened very often with other rentals (and we rent vacation homes frequently). It's nice to have a laid back, easy rental experience to match the laid back small-town atmosphere of Cape Charles!
Overall - spectacular experience and we are already looking at the calendar to reserve it for next year.

This property was perfect. Clean and cool on a very hot week near the beach. Communication with the owner was great. And there was a property manager very nearby, although we had no issues at necessitating calling her. House was clean and had everything you would need to stay for a week with 8 people including children, and a dog. Fenced yard is a huge plus. We were very happy with the property.

There were a number of things that were very disappointing or inconvenient. We had been told that someone would text us to let us know when the house was ready and we could get in. We waited and waited, basically killing time. We finally called and were told that the house had been cleaned the day before, so we wasted all that time waiting for someone to let us know. There was no way to make ice--no ice maker in the fridge and not even ice trays, so we had to go out and get ice. Not convenient! We (all four adults) searched and searched for a light switch at the bottom of the stairs, but never could find one. That meant that when we wanted to go upstairs at night, we had to walk up in the dark and get all the way upstairs to turn on a light in the upstairs hall. Very unsafe!! In the twin bedroom the door would not shut. It bumped into the footboard of one of the beds and there was no way to close it. Very strange! For the life of me I can't figure out why the twin beds are in the smallest room, and the queen bed is in a bigger room. It would seem that it would be the other way around--and if the queen bed were in the smaller room, the door would shut! Check out time was clearly stated to be 11:00, but the house cleaners showed up at 10:00, and they said they were told to come at 10:00. We were still packing up the kitchen and one of the bedrooms, so we had to work around them since they needed to get started. Just too many things wrong!

We had a great stay at this home. It had a well designed and comfortable interior, big fenced in yard, convenient outdoor shower, and driveway to charge our golf carts. The hosts were incredibly helpful whenever we had a question. We’d definitely stay here again!
