Fantastiskt hotell med ett flott läge, utsikten var otrolig. Vi njöt av vistelsen, god mat, bekväma rum och extra plus för den väldigt trevliga och tillmötesgående personalen som tog hand om oss. Vi kommer gärna igen!

Fantastic location, perfect for coastal walk down to the town. Very scenic and beautiful, peaceful and relaxing.
Breakfast was average, would have liked more 'main' choices such as bacon. The scrambled egg was luke warm each day. Our double bedroom was comfortable but would have liked some general facilities such as tea and coffee making in the room. We also had a night in one of the cabins (bungalow) which was in a lovely spot overlooking a lake. Both rooms lacked a few basics such as places to hang towels in the bathrooms. Could not fault the location it was spot on.

We loved the room, the proximity to the sea, the town itself, the hotel breakfast and the decor. Dinner waa also exceptional.
We'd have liked a little more air and light in our room. Our shower was also not great at draining away.

The spa was poor and therefore the name of the hotel ended up beeing confusing.
The beds were to soft.
The old hotel was beautiful.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Super nice room, spacious and with sea view. Common areas were full of coziness and atmosphere. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent (hallibut for main course, rubarb for dessert).
Used shampoo bottles were left i the (otherwise cleaned) bathroom, from previous guests. The staff removed it immediately and apologized when I informed them.

its just Nice and cozy. A relaxing place to be.
The pillows On the bed were too Big and not comfortable. The rooms could do with having a fridge and a kettle.

Its location by the beach, and a very pleasant interior.
The weather, but that's life on the Danish coast.

- location was nice
- breakfast was very nice
-
- no ventilation system in room at all.
it was very uncomfortable because too hot, felt like a sauna in the room.
- no reception after 5pm. nobody picked up the phone when we called to ask for a fan at least.
- no water boiler in room, no coffee or tea bags.
- no water bottle in room.
- when we explained to receptionist at check out, the lady told me: this is an old hotel , we are not modern to have ventilation system.
So I would say this hotel is ok but only outside of summer period.
hopefully their heating system works well in winter.

Beautiful location, charming and cosy decoration. Sea View from the balcony was amazing. The hotel is surrounded by danish summer houses with a lot of green. quiet and peaceful. Village of gilleleje is walking distance (1.5km) and beach close by.
The hotel is not disable people friendly. No elevator, many steps to go from living room area to the rooms etc. I informed that one of the client has mobility issues, and we were given a room on second floor ( with no elevator). was 39 steps.....As we complained, we were invited not to pay for the wine during diner......As many beaches in the area, you need to go down 150 stairs to reach the sea level.....not possible for people with disabilities.

The location is absolutely gorgeous with the sea and view. The rooms themselves are nice. Very quiet surroundings.
The staff is virtually nonexistent. Maybe this is a consequence of the pandemic or of the fact that it was late August but the hotel lobby and bar were closed at 5:30pm. On the day we arrived, the receptionist called to say that everything would be closed when we arrived but they would leave a key for us in the hallway. A complete “The Shining” feeling. You would expect this experience from an Airbnb or similar, but not from a historical hotel! In any case, we got our key and everything worked out but another couple was not so lucky. We were disturbed at 7pm in our room by agitated people looking for their room key (which we later learned had been put in an envelope in their room — but they had locked their room door!). No phone number was made available to us in case of a problem either. Basically, aim to arrive during business hours or prepare for some pain. Overall, the location remains worth it, though.

Breakfast ok.

Nice hotel with a history, but very little ”bath” nowadays. For example, no access of its own to the beach. Great reception, good service, excellent dinner and breakfast.

Christmas music at breakfast... in May 🤪
