We enjoyed our stay at the house; the yard is bug and the dog & kids enjoyed playing there . Saint Albans is a small town but the main street has several restaurants within walking distance of the house. A few hikes and beaches within 15-20 minutes drive from the house. hisue.

My husband and I and our dog loved the house and property. Its history and all the antiques were fascinating but it had all the modern conveniences that you would expect like updated bathrooms and kitchen. And the St. Albans area is beautiful with lots to do.

Winnie’s Place provided both comfortable, updated accommodations and perfect location to town and to family. It is a lovely property both inside and out and allowing a pet was an added bonus. Have already recommended it to other family members. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This is a lovely home, stunningly renovated in the most beautiful garden, at the end of a quiet residential Cul de Sac. The home is spacious, comfortable and elegant, and fully equipped with everything anyone could need.
we had a super time and hugely recommend it.
we also loved St Albans.

The house was excellent. Very cozy and clean and with all amenities and appliances needed. Nice deck and yard. Quiet-with no traffic since this house is at the end of the street. Host Abbey was responsive and helpful especially when I asked to add Saturday to our stay (original reservation was Sun-Mon). Only two things detracted from the experience. First, when I requested to add Saturday to our visit, the host said she wouldn't normally rent the house Saturday since a long-term tenant was leaving Friday and they needed Saturday to clean, but if I was OK with a late check-in she would let us have it Saturday night. Great! The disappointment came when I was charged $100 more for Saturday than Sun and Mon.; Saturday--a day that she already told me she wasn't planning to make available for rent so that it could be cleaned. It seemed unreasonable and unfair to charge a premium when there was zero demand for Saturday other than from me; if I didn't take Saturday, nobody else was going to take it and the host would receive $0. I would have happily paid the same rate for Saturday, but a $100 surcharge felt like price gouging. The second problem is with VRBO's billing. After adding Saturday, VRBO sent me three different invoices with three different calculations to reflect the new charge for Saturday. None of the numbers added up and none were the same. When I tried to get answers from VRBO online, the person offered no explanation and was of no help whatsoever.

This was a great location for us to enjoy the Vermont Maple Festival ! We were just a few minutes away from all the activities that we came to see and do. We had a few questions and the hosts responded very quickly. It would be a great place in the summer with kids! Big yard and on a quiet dead end street.

Exactly as described in the listing. Beautiful inside and out. Property manager responsive and friendly. Significantly improved my quality of life compared to other stays in the area. Plan to book anytime I'm in the area and the house is available.

The house was perfect for our visit. We came to St. Albans to visit family. The location was so convenient. It was easy to get to shopping and to see our family. The house has been updated very nicely. It is such a great combination of modern features and antique charm. We will definitely try to stay there again!

We were really happy with our stay at Winnie's Place. The house is super cute, in a great location.
House - Really clean, and nicely appointed.
Kitchen is spacious and has really nice updated appliances and plenty of counterspace and all the stuff you could possibly need to prepare meals.
Living room has a good amount of seating and a nice TV
Bathrooms are really nice and updated. Upstairs has a really nice freestanding soaker tub.
Bedrooms are well appointed and a decent size. One of them has an additional "bedroom" attached to it with a daybed. It works really well if you have a little one!
The deck and yard are simply wonderful. Plenty of room, lots of privacy, and the trees and gardens are simply gorgeous.
The only part we didn't love was the water pressure upstairs. It's not awful, but it isn't great. Overall it really didn't impact our stay.
St. Albans is a super cute town, and we loved our time there.

We had a fantastic stay at Winnie's Place! It is a wonderful, well kept and fully stocked property at the end of a quiet family friendly neighborhood. The bedrooms were large enough for our relatively large family to be comfortable in and includes many different sitting and recreation areas throughout. The house, and outdoor property, is full of little surprises and carefully curated touches. You can definitely feel the attention and love that went into setting everything up! As an added bonus it is also a short trip away from a bustling downtown and a number of parks and playgrounds. We will DEFINITELY be staying here again when in the area!

The house has an historical history to it. We loved the decor. It was roomy and was very clean. Also the Kitchen and bathrooms were awesome. The showers were roomy and accessible for my elderly in-laws. The soaker tub is terrific after a day of exploring. The house is located near many restaurants and shopping which we walked to. The house had everything we needed as well as towels, pots, pans ,dishes, glasses, etc. The host Abbey is very accessible. When we return to Vt for the next family reunion we will definitely love to stay at Winnies House again.
