About this cottage rental
The Hammond cottages were built in 1919 and, while updated with modern amenities, still have a nostalgic feeling of days long ago. Across from the cottage is a playground with swings and a basketball hoop. The neighborhood is quiet and neighbors are very friendly.
The kid’s bedroom has a hidden nook for chalk drawings and relaxing, the jetted bathtub and adjustable bed is perfect for relaxation. Pals, the Kingsport Merry-go-round, and other downtown attractions are within walking distance.

We were pleased with the home and our stay. The house was cozy. The only problems we had were it was a bit warm upstairs but it was extremely hot and humid during our stay and the upstairs bathroom door would not shut. When one door shut the other opened which was a problem because our daughter and her friends stayed in the other room. We also couldn’t find any trash bags. We tried to contact the owner and I’m not sure if the Vrbo app was down or if something was wrong on our end. Those were all minor things,

Used the house as a launch point for the bristol races, the town is only a half hour away from the track using the back roads. The neighborhood hood was quiet and easy to walk and navigate. I recommend staying here to anyone that wants a quiet place in East Tennessee

This historic house is charming and situated in a safe, quiet neighborhood. There is a small park across the street that provides space for reading a book or letting kids run around. The proximity to U.S. 11W allows for easy travel to multiple nearby cities. Shannon is a responsive host who will make you feel like you've arrived home. :)

The location, homes and host are the best. The home is clean and check in and out is effortless. The host is so accommodating and a pleasure to work with. We look forward to our next stay. You will not be disappointed if you book your stay with Shannon.

My husband and I stayed 4 days in this beautiful historic home in downtown Kingsport to enjoy the holiday weekend and help his mother re-build a shed.
The neighborhood is quite and centrally located to shops, breweries, coffee shops and restaurants. We brought our bicycles and we’re able to bike to the vast majority of downtown.
The home was quant, clean and made you feel like home. We would recommend this location.

I recommend to any friends or family!

Everything was even better than advertised. Hostess was kind and considerate. Property was historic and delightful.
Plenty of room. We didn't bring any kids but they would have loved it.
If we're ever back this way we'd stay again.
Shower water pressure and temp was perfect.
Thoughtfully decorated.
Thanks, Shannon

We enjoyed relaxing in this historic (and updated) home. We were looking for a home that was part of a nice neighborhood feel, near downtown Kingsport. This was a perfect fit!

My wife and I enjoyed a pleasant stay in this very cute historic house in downtown Kingsport. It's located very centrally in town, close to the downtown scene and has easy access to area attractions like Warriors Path State Park and Bay Mountain Park and Recreation Area (which is an amazing place to visit). The host did a great job of communicating prior to and during the visit. The house was clean with everything in working order. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. There is hardly any traffic on this street, and there's a small city park with a playground right across from the house. Beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed (except salt and pepper for cooking; we had to run out and get those, but there are plenty of grocery stores nearby so it was no problem). We would definitely stay here again.
