Welcome to Summer Pines! A charming waterfront property located on the shores of Henrys Lake. This ideal cabin is picture perfect for hosting your divine Island Park or Yellowstone rendezvous. Summer Pines is a newly remodeled large three-story cabin that hosts 12 guests in 4 private bedrooms and an elevated loft with a stupendous view out the back towards the lake and surrounding landscape. Upstairs are two private bedrooms each with their own cozy queen bed and spectacular views. There are also three semi-private queen beds in the open loft area with its own flat screen tv and access to a private deck overlooking the property. There are three bathrooms upstairs, one full bath with access in the common area, and the other half baths are in the two private queen bedrooms. The basement hosts a large bedroom with two individual queen beds and access to outside through an its very own door. Enjoy a game of pool on the basement pool table while you soak in the scenery of the lake, just outside the large windows. The large master bedroom is located on the main level of the cabin with a large comfortable king-sized bed. Down the hall is a large full-size bathroom with two sinks for your convenience. The expansive kitchen on the main level is big enough for the entire group and has everything you might need to be your own chef. The large island and kitchen table provide plenty of seating to enjoy a home cooked meal or to simply gather. You can’t beat the panoramic views out the back deck. Summer Pines has two acres of undisturbed lake front sights that can be absorbed from the large back deck just out from the dining area and kitchen. If outdoor cooking is your specialty, fire up the grill or gather around the outdoor fire pit for some s'mores or a classic hotdog. Spend the evenings by soaking in this cabin’s hot tub overlooking the lake. Summer Pines has plenty of space for your entire group to relax and enjoy, inside or outside.
Summer Pines is only 17 miles from the West entrance of Yellowstone National Park and is near other attractions such as: Henrys Lake, the Big Springs River, and other convenient attractions like the local grocery store, recreational rental shops, and delicious restaurants. Though, the cabin’s proximity to attractions isn’t the only beneficial thing about its location, the scenery surrounding the cabin will astound you. This cabin sits on a secluded lot surrounded by lofty lodge pole pines that rest below Sawtelle Peak, part of the Centennial Mountain Range. It isn’t uncommon to catch sightings of moose, elk, fox and hear the chatter of coyotes in the early morning or evening due to its proximity to open meadows and of course a major source of water. Explore your surroundings on the many ATV trails the area provides, with access to these trails residing just up the road from the cabin. Walk or bike down the quiet forested road of Bootjack Drive or simply enjoy the property as part of your mountain retreat to the Greater Yellowstone Region. Want to get out on the water? Launch your boat or kayak from the cabin’s private boat dock in the summer months or take up ice fishing in the winter. Summer Pines truly has everything you need and more to fulfill your trip to our neck of the woods.

We stayed for 3 nights and we enjoyed being there

My large family enjoyed spending a memorable week at Summer Pines. The property managers were quick to respond to our questions and needs. Highlights: (1) The cabin's proximity to Yellowstone National Park, Henry's Lake State Park, Harriman State Park, and Targhee National Forest. We hiked spectacular forest trails, viewed Yellowstone’s geyser basins and looked for wildlife, fished Henry's Lake, paddle-boarded, and mountain-biked - all accessed within reasonably short drives from the cabin. (2) With 3 levels, 2 decks, 5 bedrooms, a sleeping loft, and a basement rec room, there was plenty of space for everyone. (3) The private dock provides easy access to Henry's Lake outlet for paddleboarding and fishing. We had some fun gatherings around the fire, just outside the front door. (4) The beautiful kitchen has all appliances that one might ever need (blender/food processor, pressure cooker, waffle maker, griddle, coffee maker, crockpot) as well as pots/pans, baking ware, etc. 2 full refrigerators and a large dishwasher made meal prep easy. (5) The hot tub was in good shape and very clean - a treat to sit in during the cool evenings. (6) The new, large washer and dryer were very handy, and the laundry room itself was great for storage. We were able to keep the cabin relatively cool even on warm days, thanks to the box fans in every room. Be aware: (1) the steep walk down to the dock may be a challenge for some (2) trip hazards on the front step. I highly recommend Summer Pines!

Summer Pines was a perfect place for our family Yellowstone vacation. Very spacious for our large group. The kitchen was very well equipped. The property was beautiful. We sighted deer, elk and moose in the neighborhood. This house has so much to offer, we never even got to use all of it.

We had a great stay. Plenty of room for us and very comfortable. It’s about a 20 minute drive to YNP but I’m so glad we stayed here than in West Yellowstone.

This is the perfect family getaway. There were 10 of us eight adults and two teens. With four of our eight adults being over 40 we appreciated having the basement for the other four adults, all under 27 and the two teens 16 and 17, who were able to go downstairs and enjoy the pool table, foosball table, TV and hot tub. Being siblings they were quite rowdy and truly enjoyed being together in their space. We enjoyed the fire pit area where the whole family gathered making s’mores and just hanging out.
The open area on the main floor was perfect for our big group. There’s plenty of seating around the table and also at the island. The space made it easy, preparing and eating meals together. The kitchen is fully stocked with every gadget you can imagine Insta pot crockpot and waffle-maker, the one like you see in the Hotels. The only thing missing was an ice-maker, but our property manager promptly brought us a large bag of ice along with a few other consumable amenities.
The property manager was nothing less than “Johnny on the spot” taking care of every tiny detail to make sure our stay was perfect.
The overall consensus with the family is that this is a place we thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend it to others.

This is a beautiful property. It has just been redone so it's very fresh. Some Cedar accents so it smells nice. Comfortable beds, lots of space. Family enjoyed the hot tub. The new appliances are very high end, far beyond what I expected in a VRBO. Double oven, dishwasher so silent you have to stand right beside it to see if its running. 2 large TV's, lots of small appliances in the kitchen, even an instant pot and waffle maker. We really enjoyed our stay.

Our big family loved staying here for our weeklong vacation. The young kids LOVED the loft bed area where all the little cousins could sleep in the same room and the teen kids greatly enjoyed the basement rooms 2 floors away from their younger siblings. The adult rooms were plenty roomy as well! The owners responded quickly to every question, even stopping over to change out a chirping smoke alarm battery on our second day. *Big tip* bring sooo much bug spray! The mosquitos were miserable and definitely put a damper on us being able to enjoy the deck, balcony, and the lake. Our group went through 4 full size cans in ONE WEEK!
