OK stay for one night

The room was what we expected - clean, comfortable and good location for a quick get away in the morning.

Check in took longer than expected. The toilet was a very low one - hard to get up from. Coffee provided is poor quality so had to pick up a coffee at McDonald's.

Beware of hidden costs

Downtown. Close to stores. Parking for trailer

Misleading and borderline deceptive policies. They will tell you breakfast is included, then tell you it's only free for one guest. They will charge a fee for a 2nd person. Very bizarre and unprofessional management practices

Great people, great price!

The staff were friendly and helpful. It was cool to see how international the staff are. We had a great breakfast and visit with the owner, a Chilean man. The price was great and the room, other than the reported issue below, was comfortable. We stayed here on our way to Anchorage, then again on our way back the next week.

On the first night, the 3rd floor was very warm, as if the heat was stuck on. The young men from the front desk brought us a portable AC and extra fan and worked on our room AC for over 30 minutes. It was late but they were dedicated! This service recovery effort is what made it easy to stay again on our return.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Destination Family Hotel, and I must say it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived and completed the check-in process, I was greeted with a delightful surprise—an incredible array of snack choices to choose from. But the surprises didn't end there. Destination Family Hotel went above and beyond by offering a complimentary made-to-order full breakfast—a rarity in today's hospitality industry. I must admit, treating myself to a delicious breakfast made precisely to my liking was an extraordinary indulgence. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any requests or inquiries. The room itself was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the modern amenities one could ask for. The location of the hotel was also convenient, with easy access to local attractions and amenities. Whether I wanted to explore the city or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll, everything was within reach. In conclusion, my experience at Destination Family Hotel was exceptional.

Just had a problem with the airconditioning unit but was addressed immediately by the hotel staff.

Bathroom was clean, good water pressure, decent lighting.

$200 required damage hold that wasn't disclosed during reservation, 26 Hotel Rules posted we're extremely unwelcoming, two twin beds pushed together to be a king, more rules and itemized potential charges in the room, AND temperature in room was 80 degrees.

Destination Family Hotel - Good value for your money

Good location with spacious parking. Friendly, helpful and responsive staff that were ready to go the extra mile to make my stay memorable. The breakfast was a steal for the variety and quality of food and at such a low price. I really enjoyed my stay

Sorry, would not recommend

location was easy to find, fairly central and there is a laundromat which we did not use

First impressions: the elevator smelled. We booked because it’s promoted as newly renovated but that’s not what we saw. the room was super hot and even with a fan we got no relief. they take a $200 damage deposit, which I note they returned, but their list of items in the room and their cost to replace, for example, a Kuerig coffee maker for a value of $150 but what was there was a basic cheap coffee maker probably $19.99.

Don't stay here

Everything. Noisy horrible rooms. Don't stay here unless it's the last resort. Pay the extra money for somewhere nicer. One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in and not cheap either. Staff were untrained. Room wasn't ready by 3pm check in. The reception staff made a mistake and refunded my stay then took it back off my credit card but I got charged $10 extra for this.
