OUR COMMENT
Gaze on gondolas gliding by from your windows on the canal! – a perfect palazzo apartment well suited to larger groups who’d like easy access to Venice’s central sights.
Moments to the charming Scala Contarini del Bovolo (Staircase of the Snail) via Campo Manin to the fore, and just a quick sidestep off the vibrant little shop-filled thoroughfare known as Calle de la Mandola / Cortesia connecting Campo Sant’ Angelo to Campo Manin, with the famous Rialto Bridge and district to the north and St. Mark’s Square and its myriad attractions to the south.
A short amble to the Teatro La Fenice, to the breathtakingly beautiful, ultra-atmospheric Palazzo Fortuny Museum of Mariano Fortuny y Madrazo – famous photographer, painter, stage and textile designer – well worth a visit if open (usually only during exhibitions) and the Multisala Rossini complex housing a 3-screen cinema and a large, newly re-opened Despar supermarket for stocking up on self-catering supplies, only few minutes away and no briges to cross.
Within easy reach of 2 vaporetto (water bus) stops for easy travel around the city – one at Rialto on the Riva Del Carbon and the other at Sant’ Angelo – and to 2 ‘traghetto’ services ferrying passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal (please check operating times) – one between the Riva Del Carbon near Rialto in the district of San Marco and the Riva Del Vin at San Silvestro in the district San Polo, and the other between Calle Del Tragheto near Sant' Angelo in San Marco and San Toma in San Polo.
For arrivals between 8.00 p.m. and midnight there is an additional cost for "late arrival" of Euro 50, to be paid in cash upon arrival. We organize arrivals between midnight and one o'clock with an additional cost of Euro 100, after this time we reserve the right to accept the customer always with a supplement to be quantified according to the time of arrival.

Stunning setting with plenty of room for our multi-generational family of 8. Outdoor spaces were particularly lovely. Great location as a jumping off point to explore the Etna area.
Take note, as advertised, this is a rural area and some of the roads and access driveway are mountainous and rough.

Overall property was very nice. The one fault was issues with the wifi service. The wifi in the property was down from the start. Enrica who check us in went to get a mobile hotspot for us immediately, but the hot spot was extremely slow and it was not fast enough to stream anything on the tv when we wish to watch late at night.
7 adults stayed there and it was spacious centrally located. We were extremely comfortable. 2-3 minute walk to get pastries and coffee for breakfast. The main square was roughly a ten minute walk. ATMs were 1 minute away. Keep in mind there is no elevator and you have to carry your luggage up basically 2-3 flights of stairs and it is a 2 and 1/2 minute walk from where the boat would drop you from the airport, not hard. Grocery store is only 90 second walk and the main square is just a 10 minute walk. Lots of restaurants close by.
Easy to get everywhere and we really enjoyed our stay.

Couldn’t ask for anything more! The apartment is large, very well maintained and perfect for a family. Annalisa was always available to help with transportation to and from the airport or train station. Friendly greeting upon arrival. We were helped with our luggage and given a tour of the apartment so we knew how to work everything. We had a perfect stay!

Enrica, who received us was very helpful. Also, we really appreciated Dimora's help with the water taxis to arrive from St. Lucia and to the airport on the day we check out.
Make sure guests know in advance that there are 30 steps from the ground to the apartment with no elevator (Lift) We were traveling with older family members and the steep stairs were hard on our senior family members.
