Reading the description you might think to yourself, the hill can’t be THAT bad right? Think again. It is very steep and some of it is gravel. Me and 2 family members with motorcycles were able to navigate just fine but we are seasoned riders with dirtbike experience. You cannot get a trailer to the house you’ll have to leave it at the bottom. Location is great and hot tub is nice. Water pressure is 5/10. Starlink is 9/10. This is perfect if you want peace and quiet, it’s away from everyone and somewhat hard to find. It’s about 35 mins from deals gap motorcycle resort. Overall 8/10

Well appointed, tastefully decorated, and comfortable. Big Swag accommodated all our needs with plenty of space for our entire family to relax and enjoy. Plenty of towels, spices, cookware, linens, firewood, and anything else needed to make your stay wonderful.
The owner does a great job of making this cabin very dog friendly. Absolutely NO "dog smell", or hair. 2 crates were available to use when we needed to leave.
*Your 1st drive up the mountain is a bit scary but, you'll be a pro by day #2.
The property is quiet and peaceful.
Host was easy to reach and helpful.

Peaceful, clean and very well equipped. Had a wonderful birthday weekend with family and friends.

The fire pit, hot tub, foosball and full kitchen were all our family needed to make great memories. Add hiking and other local attractions and we had an epic spring break vacation.

Second day we ran out of hot water and couldn’t shower that day or the day that we checked out.

We brought our 3 teens up for family Christmas vacation. They enjoyed the hottub and game room. We played games around the big table. We went skiing at Cataloochee Ski Resortbij Maggie Valley.

We loved our stay at this property. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Check in was a breeze and the hot tub / deck / sitting areas were great.
Only issue is that the main access road is steep and a little tough to navigate in the dark your first time there. Would highly suggest arriving in the day to find the cabin and get situated.

The drive was very steep and the house number was slightly confusing

Many stairs. Living room furniture should be replaced. Leaking refrigerator should be repaired. Everything else was wonderful.

A great place to stay! A group of friends rode here for mountain views and curved winding roads, we were not disappointed! Fire place and hot tub speak for themselves. Plenty of kitchen essentials, more than you knew you needed. LOL Lots of space on 3 floors with kitchenette on lower level. Definitely recommend!!!

Beautiful views from the top balcony.

Checking in was exactly stated and went smooth. Once we checked in I did have to clean. I had to vacuum (clump’s of dog hair) clean the bathrooms and sweep the floors. The main floor bathtub does not drain properly as well as the main floor sink only drains when you pull up the plug. The couch and recliner leather are coming a part so you are constantly sweeping up black pieces on the floor. The refrigerator constantly leeks water at the bottom so we had to constantly wipe up water until we just put a towel down to stay. The house itself is a great space for family to hang out. The fire pit area is perfect!

We had a great Family Thanksgiving at Big Swag. There was plenty for everyone to do. Downstairs room great for family games, foosball, movies and s’mores by the fire pit with a beautiful view. We visited Fontana Dam on the Appalachian Trail The main attraction for my granddaughter was the Polar Express in Bryson City. Definitely a great place to stay. Would suggest a four wheel drive but my Honda did well. Highly recommend

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the cabin was and the amazing views. The cabin is very secluded and private. We were very happy here and will be back!!

The drive up the mountain to get to the cabin was very scary. I have a front-wheel drive car, and with the amount of leaves on the path, I could barely get up the hills in some places. It should be listed somewhere that you need a car that has 4-wheel drive. There are many exotic cars that come to this location to drive the Dragon, most of those cars could never make it up the hills.
As far as the cabin itself, we had the understanding that there would be firewood that we could use for the firepit. All of the wood was out in the elements, so it was all wet and wouldn't light. The Hot Tub was very dates and not many jets. You could barely get 3 adults in there.
Kitchen was well stocked. Towels were nice and thick for the bathrooms. Master bedroom in the loft was nice and the bed was decent.
It was very confusing to know where the cabin is. It's called Big Swag and the sign that said that was so small, we passed by it.
We did have a problem with the fridge in the kitchen leaking. I called the rental property number, got no answer and no one called me back.

Property was awesome, the driveway was a little steep, but other than that it was awesome!

My best friend and I brought our 3 kids for the weekend. We had so much fun! The location was secluded and beautiful, the basement game room was a bit with our kids, the decks and hot tub were absolutely amazing. The interior was clean and we had plenty of towels. I would recommend this property and will visit again!

The house was convenient and comfortable. We Will inform rental company of maintenance and cleanliness concerns. They responded quickly to immediate needs on our arrival.

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for short weekend get away! Loved everything about this house except maybe the road which isn't that bad if you have a large vehicle or 4x4. We will be coming here again but for it will definitely be for longer.

We really enjoyed our time at Big Swag. The cabin was really clean and the kitchen was really well stocked (blender, crock pot, etc). The king bed in the loft was really comfortable and the linens were nice and soft. It was more space than we needed (just me and my partner) but that is not a complaint! With the multiple indoor and outdoor spaces there would be plenty of room for more. The kitchen table was really large, which was nice - and there were more tables downstairs. The hot tub, fire pit, large deck space and the view -just more reasons we didn’t want to leave.
I do want to comment on the road/driveway for anyone with a motorcycle. The road is steep in places but our main concern was if we could get into the driveway with our trailer (trailered our motorcycle and kayaks on a 12’ Doolittle). There were a few cabins on the way up where it would have been next to impossible, which gave us the nervous laughs on the way up. We were very happy to find that you are able to pull past the driveway so you can back in with no problem at all. It may be difficult for some riders to ride their bikes up/down the steep road in/out but my boyfriend was able to make it fine on his sport bike. He did comment that I would have had to walk down if I wanted to ride. Lol. But since the driveway was easy to navigate with the trailer we could have opted to trailer the bike down to ride with little hassle. This really is a great cabin and we would stay here again for sure. Thanks for helping us have a great trip!

A 2-year difference between visits, but the experience was the same... absolutley amazing! Bryan's cabin is always a place where my family and I can visit and unplug from the city life and just relax. Whether it's taking a dip in the hot tub, enjoying the views from the balcony, eating s'mores by the fire pit or just basking in the ambiance of the warm cabin, you'll be sure to have a great experience! Until next time...

Property was very nice. Living area upstairs adequate for 5 adults. But flex space in basement is available for larger groups. Nice firepit, swing under cover and view. We wanted the fireplace experience so we all stayed upstairs. King bed in open loft was super comfy and other bedrooms on main level were roomy and comfortable as well. Not much in Robvinsville this time of year so we may not go back because of price but not far from things to do...40 minutes...

We all had a wonderful time at Bryan’s place. Lots of laughs and a beautiful view to wake up to every morning. And the king bed in the loft was AMAZING!!! Would definitely come back again.

We spent our summers camping at Deep Creek, tubing and rafting the Nantahala. We live on the west coast now but wanted to show our son the magic of the North Carolina mountains. Big Swag lodge was the perfect place for my family in NC and for us to gather and enjoy our childhood vacation destination. The cabin was perfect for all 6 of us with plenty of space to spread out. We enjoyed our coffee on the deck. The hot tub came in handy after white water rafting and some pretty difficult hikes in the beautiful Joyce Kilmer memorial forest, which is a must see if you like beautiful forests.
We enjoyed cooking delicious meals in the fully stocked kitchen.
Our 11 year old son had a great time playing foosball in the game room. He thought that was pretty special and said he wished we could live there.
Thank you to Bryan for the corespondance. He was available any time we had a question and kind enough to reach out to us to make sure we had everything we needed.

Well the online pictures and reviews looked pretty good, the reality was not the same. The property was in a state of disrepair with scrap wood in the driveway and trash in the shrub. There were cobwebs everywhere, and even a globe off of the ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms, so the lightbulbs were exposed. There were lamps held together by duct tape, and dirty laundry left on top of the dryer. The hot tub is well worn, And the water was green. The neighbors are so close, that one walked over and actually walked into the kitchen without knocking, it was very startling.Very disappointed in the overall condition of the property.

There were three couples and we all had a wonderful time here. Started out a little rough... a bit hard to get a truck w bike trailer to the cabin, but we did, and the rest of our stay went very well. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer cabin and location was great! Bryan was super to work with. He was accessible and courteous. Thank you so much for a memorable vacation!

The cabin is beautiful and has everything you need. To sit on the porch and overlook the mountains with a cup of coffee in your hand is not only breathtaking it's so peaceful. I cant wait to plan my next visit!

Our family of 5, including 3 teens, unfortunately arrived in the dark and had some difficulty finding the address... poor planning on my part. But once inside, we were delighted by the house. Plenty of space to spread out. The furnishings were beautiful- functional and charming. Kitchen had everything we needed, except for oven mitts (maybe I just didn’t find them.) We used all three bedrooms as well as the pullout sofa. Bathroom on each level is a plus. We did have a little traffic jam getting ready in the mornings- perhaps you might add a mirror to each bedroom?
We did have one problem on our stay- the clothes dryer didn’t work. One call to owner and a repairman was enroute to fix it. My only other comment is that I never got the check in email from the property management company. I was limited to communicating with the owner. No check out instructions were available so I hope we met those expectations!
