The person that cleaned the kitchen neglected to wipe up the orange juice that was spilled and left on the counter that the cutting board was sitting in. Other than that, the place was clean. It is a mountain cabin. So, if you cant handle seeing a couple of spiders, its not for you. All that being said, we absolutely loved the place and would love to go back one day!

Had a great time with my daughter and grandkids. Convenient spot to make as your base camp to enjoy outings in Graham County and surrounding area

Property needs a landline for guests. There is no way to contact anyone for emergencies. The icemaker didn’t work and the dryer took a long time to dry clothes.

Just what we were looking for. A gravel road leads off of 28 to this and few other cabin/homes. The road is steep but very well groomed so even our low sports cars had no difficulty. The cabin is clean, homey and functional. Air conditioned and good tasting water. Well stocked with cook ware, plates, and bedding. There is even a selection of dvds to watch. The main level great room has a great feel and the wrap around deck had a nice view. It was great to wake up each morning to all the birds chirping. The stairs to the lower level Master bedroom are kind of steep. As stated in the description there is no internet or phone service.

Cabin was very nice and roomy. The only issue we had was the description stated only 20 miles from Gatlinburg but did not say it would take almost 2 hours to get there.

Property was as it was described. Only one thing needs to be added... either a way for me to use my phone or a landline for emergencies.... other than that it was a rustic cabin in the woods.

Could use some work
The house is nicely situated in a quiet area but there was no mention of the slightly steep dirt road that leads up to the home. There are also I believe 6 other homes very close by. You hear the people when they come and go. It’s relatively quiet at night you occasionally hear the residents that’s live in the nearby houses. Also if you use gps to get there it leads to the wrong house as it does not account for elevation. The house isn’t cleaned properly as there were spider webs everywhere, in the showers, lights, ceasing fans and along the tops of all the walls. The shower heads need to be replaced as they do not spray properly. The faucet to turn the water on in the showers is very confusing because if it was put on hot the water was ice cold. You had to turn it back to almost off for it to get warm. There was a lot of items damaged that we had to take pictures of so we would not be responsible. Several items were not cleaned. There is absolutely no cell service so if there is an emergency you cannot call anyone for help unless you drive 9miles to get service back. The last thing I wanted to point out was the abundant amount of spiders inside the house (wolf spiders and black widow spiders). We were having to take care of them the entire time. I know some would say “ what do you expect being up in the mountains” BUT the home we rented 2 years ago that was also secluded up in the mountains, we did not have a single issue with spiders inside the house.
Aside from the issues it was nice. It could have been better.

Great place. Needs some work
Driveway is a little scetchy getting up and down on a bike. The air conditioner dont work, and there is NO cellphone service. Great place to get away from phones and have a good time.

Don't bother if you need outside connection.
Was informed of lack of internet. Checked Verizon coverage map, said signal was available, not the case. Bathroom upstairs is tiny, dump site for trash is miles away, driveway to location is almost entirely gravel with a steep enough grade 4wd is required, plumbing dumps down the side of the mountain due to broken pipe, pest control isn't comprehensive(lots of spiders and cockroaches were found inside the location), listing says local TV channels available...also not the case. Property manager is responsive, and informative. Overall not a pleasant stay several spider bites and having to go miles away for any sort of reception.

Nice place for a secluded getaway.
No internet, tv,phone service are available, the a/c is lacking and the road getting to the property is a little rough. It is a nice place for a secluded getaway and very peaceful once there.

Great cabin in the NC Smokies!
If you want the full Smoky experience w/o the crazy hustle and non-nature aspect of the Smokies that Gatlinburg gives you - stay here! It is great and rustic enough but also has all the amenities you need.

Remote Mountain Stay
We had a really great trip and my kids didn’t want to leave. The cabin was clean and well stocked. We did go buy a couple of kid movies since there wasn’t a wide variety there and no TV option. We also left the movies for the next family. 😁
We we’re there to visit the smokies and the drive was a little long, but beautiful. However, not having phone service made it difficult to find out if roads were open and it made planning our day hard. If it wasn’t for that, we enjoyed being “unplugged”.

Hiking Base Camp
It was an excellent place to stay between hikes. Sleep, shower, and food prep was easy and access to area trailheads was great. Some wifi in the future would be great!

Relaxing
This was a great stay!! My only complaint was that it showed up in my google search for "cabins in Gatlinburg" THIS IS NOT IN GATLINBURG!!!!! It is in Robbinsville, NC, about a 2 hour drive from Gatlinburg. When I emailed the owner after realizing it, I never received a response back. My family and I decided since we already paid for it that we would just go and I really did love the cabin. The drive to the cabin itself is scary and very steep! But a very LOVELY view and nice cabin. We will be staying here again. Now that we know where it is and that it's not close to Gatlinburg.

Exactly what we were looking for
Very easy. Cabin was clean and charming. The location was very private and quiet. It was close enough to Bryson City and Nantahala to see and do everything.

Quiet Getaway
The property was peaceful and quiet. Be prepared to not have cell phone reception or wifi. Head toward Robbinsville to get reception for ATT subscribers. The house was comfy and neat. Bring or rent movies before leaving town for something to watch during the dark hours. I
look forward to bringing my family back for a fishing trip sooner than later.

Definitely worth it
Enjoyed our stay.

It was ok. Will not stay there again.
The house was ok but there was no sheets for the fold out bed and no phone service at all. I understand no cell service but I think the owners should have a land line for emergencies. Also when I first looked about booking it said 21 miles from Gatlinburg.. That's not true

Cozy cabin in the woods
Doug, the owner, is very easy to get in touch with if you need him. He was very pleasant on the phone, and answered all my questions. My fiancé and three close friends stayed here to enjoy Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway and visit surrounding areas to include Maryville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The drive to the cabin is up a fairly steep incline and has gravel, but we made it up and down with no issues on the motorcycles. If you’re not an experienced rider, I wouldn’t recommend it. The cabin sits about 20 minutes from the tail, and about 10 minutes from entry to Cherohala. Some helpful tips (I hope) 1. Plenty of towels, wash cloths and linens. 2. Bring, or buy toilet paper. 3. All the necessary appliances, cookware, utensils, dinnerware in the kitchen are provided. 4. TV signal is weak, so bring DVD if you wanna watch some movies. 5. No WIFi, and no phone service..so expect to be disconnected from your phone or tablets. That was actually the best part for us. We enjoyed each other’s company. 6. There is a gas grill that works great. 7. No ice maker, so you will have to bring ice bags. The master suite is downstairs, with the two other rooms upstairs. It was an enjoyable weekend, and appreciate Doug opening his home to us.

Cabin
The cabin was nice and roomy. Downstairs could use some cleaning, but very nice bedroom and bathroom. Upstairs was very nice. The area of the cabin was really great. Road to cabin was narrow and rough. Area was nice and quiet. Love the porches around the house.

Great weekend with friends
Everything was very simple. Check in and out was extremely easy. Had to call owner for question and he was very friendly and accommodating! Only downside was low water pressure but that was no big deal at all. We conquered the Tail of the Dragon and will be back for more.

Wonderful location with a few drawbacks
We stayed in the 260 Tuskeegee Acres property over the weekend. First, the property is lovely, beautiful location and such a nice place to relax. It was great to find a property with a flat parking area and the options of bedrooms with no stairs. The stairs to the master are quite steep, but there are two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, dining and living room all on the main floor which is accessed directly from the flat front porch. Very good for elderly travelers or those with knee issues as long as you use the two upstairs rooms. The beds were comfortable and the fireplaces were so cozy and the view is gorgeous from every spot on the wrap around porch.
While we were there, however, we noticed that this property definitely has an active mouse infestation. My husband and I slept in the downstairs bedroom and I was woken up through the night both nights to the sound of them chewing in the ceiling, both over the bed and at the outside corner. We also suspect we heard them in the room during the night and found new mouse droppings beside the bed in the morning. The two upstairs beds both had acorns stashed in the bed sheets.
The property also did not seem to have been properly cleaned from the previous guest. There was dried food on the table, many of the dishes weren't clean and we all ended up with cat hair all over our clothes. The downstairs shower stunk pretty strongly of cat pee when we first turned the water on. It would have been helpful to have hand soap at each sink as well. There was a basket of hotel bar soaps in the upstairs bathroom, but it took a while to find it.
That the main heat sources in the house are the fireplaces. The upstairs bedrooms get quite cold with the doors closed and we would have brought space heaters with us. Note that you should certainly drive out back the way you drive in. Our maps tried to take us out around the loop and it was obvious far too late that there is a large section of the loop that is unmaintained and unused. It is possible to turn around in the driveway to leave by the direction you arrive and unless you have a serious 4 wheel drive vehicle and don't mind clearing downed limbs I highly recommend you go back out the way you came in.
Those are my only complaints. We very much enjoyed the stay, but wish it had been cleaner and will not likely return to this particular property even though the space and location perfectly suited our needs because of the mouse problem and cleaning concerns.

Photos were accurate; however, the stairs leading to the master suite were very steep and difficult
No tv but not a problem. No cell service so could not call to get information on gas logs as we were not able to use in living area. Cabin was clean and kitchen well stocked.
