Most comfortable bed

The location was better than I thought. There's a beach right down the street around the corner from the Starbucks which is next to the motel. The staff was really nice and housekeeping was very polite. They were very accommodating and very professional. We are a family of 4 and have 2 kids under the age of 11 and that was taken into consideration when I checked in (which i appreciated). The beds are very comfortable. Super quite at night which was very nice. Many things around: stores, laundry mats, grocery, restaurants etc.

The shower is a bit too small for my liking. When I needed to bathe my 8 year old it was difficult as the shower head was too high and the water barely touched my son. I tried to adjust it but couldn't. Not a huge deal but made shower time challenging for my 8 year old.

Location was great, short walk to the beach. Friendly, helpful manager. Easy to downtown Santa Cruz.

Funky, fun, comfortable motel near gorgeous cove

On a family trip to help our father/grandfather, my siblings and adult nephew stayed here in one of the family rooms. Just down the road is Sunny Cove beach, which was absolutely gorgeous. We had a kitchenette and table, so we were able cook for ourselves there. It wasn’t far from my dad’s hospital and close to the funeral home of Santa Cruz. Jane and dog Pax were so welcoming and so accommodating, making our stay great.

Just a couple notes for travelers: The family rooms are on second floor. There aren’t any doors between the two bedrooms, and you have to pass through one room to get to bathroom. It was on the small side for 4 adults.

Perfect location and cozy room.

Bobby and Jane at the front desk were so friendly and helpful, I felt like I was staying with friends welcoming me into their home. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable.

Very spacious rooms... Great Staff...20 stars

The property in the rooms were amazing we had our expectations blown out of the water the location is friendly as well as the manager she made us feel like we were at home went completely out of her way to make sure we are comfortable and had everything we need even got personal and called us and texted us about our reservations and anything that was going on at the hotel this will be a regular spot for us in the future.

Amazing Hotel....Best in Santa Cruz

The rooms are amazing and the manager that lives on premises is very laid back and down to earth. Does everything she can to take care of her guest and make sure they have everything they need.

Honestly there was nothing I didn't like there.

This is a very nice hotel if you want to take your family on vacation. I would recommended it.

I liked that it had a kitchen with some kitchenware to use. Beds were comfy and space very well distributed

A hidden gem

It was super close to the beach & the room was like a mini house.

Our mattress wasn’t the best it kinda sank in but we still slept fine.

We are already looking forward to coming back again.

We loved the room, the view, the location. My daughter loved the pool. The room was clean and comfortable. Having a kitchen was very convenient for preparing meals.

Lovely local spot for a beachy stay.

Lovely location walking distance to a small beach cove. The friendly staff made me feel so welcome.

Only downside was very noisy neighbors/thin walls that kept me awake.

cute motel with a great beach behind in an excellent spot

loved the room. so homey and really great to stay in, the pool looked great too. loved the short walk to the beach. it overall was very pleasing to look at and there’s great spots to eat nearby. shower was also great and spacious

Quaint, affordable location with a family friendly atmosphere

Quaint, close to the beach and town. Smaller more intimate setting with on-site long term management.

Would have loved a hot tub, or the pool to have been heated.

Exactly what you are looking for in Santa Cruz

Location can’t be beat. Skip the boardwalk area for an actual beach vacation. Great pool, cute Hawaiian restaurant and farmer’s market within walking distance.
