Delightful stay at the windmill, located in a pretty little village. Excellent location as we picked up the motorway to folkestone for the shuttle to calais. Very nice freshly made breakfast, staff were extremely helpful carrying our heavy bags upstairs, they even filled our flasks with fresh coffee for journey onwards. Would definitely stay again. Parking was good at the back of the hotel. For anyone with a disability, check if there are rooms available without stairs.

Fabulous old property, very quirky, definitely one of the best places we’ve stayed on this vacation. Food in the downstairs pub was fantastic!

We did not stay.
The room was not a deluxe kind size with a shower. The bathroom had a bath and a hand held shower. The alternative room we were offers had a walk in shower but the radiator was not working. We were told that there was a portable heater so we chose to not stay after all.

Friendly staff. Good accommodation. Good menu.

Location was accessible, free parking, comfortable room and bed. Ensuite was to a very good standard. The room was a delight - old exposed beams with optional bedside lighting, range of teas, coffee and hot chocolate too. Staff were very friendly. Evening meal was delicious.
If we really need to be picky: breakfast was included in the price- but bacon over done and poached eggs not runny.

Lekker eten in het restaurant, propere en ruime kamer.
Veel straatlawaai doordat het zeer slechte ramen waren.

Room was recently refurbished, small but super bathroom and all spotlessly clean. lovely carpets, bed linen, one of the comfiest beds I’ve ever had (slept so well). Great nightcap pint of local brew beer in the bar.
Breakfast was excellent, very well cooked, stayed HOT, best ingredients and the service totally charming.
For the £80 I paid for the room , it was far less than I was being quoted by Premier Inn, Travelodge, etc and this was a much nicer experience, if a little quirky. And did I say breakfast was superb?
Initial impression is the bar area is a bit shabby, my guess is they are targeting shabby-chic, and the staff were very casual. But the restaurant was quite full so you can’t deny the food is v popular.
My only gripe was the horrendous noise made by the bathroom pump when the loo is flushed, sadly it’s almost as loud next door if they use their loo . I’d warn my guests of that so they don’t get a shock first time.

Everything was just lovely. Accommodation, food, staff, all really great. Would highly recommend
Can't think of anything. Was happy with it all.

Very unique room. "Mind your head" signs alert you to both the tightness and pleasantness of the modern old style rooms.
Noisy pump in bathroom.

Rooms were absolutely spotless and brand new. Need to mind your head in the doorwa which made it even more characterful. Wifi was spot on and very fast. Restaurant was great but book just in case as very [opular and rightly so.
Low doorway entrance but that is a;l part of the character. TV had no areial set up but it was large and new. Other than than that, couldnt fault it. Car parking at rear so enter from tehrear of the property

The location was beautiful, the windmill itself was welcoming and full of character and the room I had was just stunning, small in size but so clean, fresh and cosy,
The bar area and restaurant was a mix of locals from the village, tourists and business people but again it had a great atmosphere.
The food from the restaurant was first class and the service exceptional , the staff were all very friendly and made you feel at home .. Would definately recommend a visit and hopefully I will return soon
The noisy hot water system in the rooms, it wasn't a constant noise but when running hot water the shower didn't get very warm really and every few seconds it made a loud rumbling noise that you could hear from other rooms also , but that certainly wouldn't put me off returning

Lovely light and airy room and great pub.
Needs a few more electric sockets in the room

Bathroom fan isolator was set to off.
TV wasn’t connected to UK freeview channels, only internet ones requiring guests’ passwords with no facility for wiping them on departure.
