This detached lodge rests just outside of Bowness-on-Windermere, Lake District and can sleep six people in three bedrooms.
Upper Lodge is a detached lodge situated just outside of Bowness-on-Windermere, The Lake District. Hosting three bedrooms, including two king-size doubles and a twin, along with a bathroom and shower room, this property can sleep up to six guests. There is also a kitchen/diner, utility and a lounge with a woodburning stove. To the outside is a lawned garden with seating and off-road parking for three cars. Upper Lodge is a wonderful base for a getaway to this ever-popular National Park.
Amenities: Central heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer. Smart TV and WiFi. No logs are provided but can be ordered in advance for £10 per big bag to be delivered on arrival.(Instructions on how to order logs will be in your arrival information) Electric Air Source Heat Pump Central heating.Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Private parking for three cars. Two well behaved dogs welcome. Lawned garden with seating. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1.3 miles, pub 0.9 miles

A variety of boat trips and boat hire are available from Windermere Lake Cruises in Bowness to Brockhole, Ambleside and Lakeside (at the southern end of the lake where the Lakeside Aquarium and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway are situated). The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction and the Old Laundry Theatre are 1.5 miles away. Orrest Head, where Alfred Wainwright was inspired to write his series of iconic guidebooks, is a 30-minute walk to enjoy the spectacular panorama of far-reaching views over the lake and surrounding fells. Brockhole, which offers high wire tree top experiences, is three miles away, and the historic villages of Grasmere, Ambleside and Troutbeck are a short drive away. There is also a variety of watersports on offer for the more energetic at marine centres along the lake. The Upper Lodge Cottage is a clean and proper accommodation which lays in a quite country side.
The rooms are greate, quite and the interieur is as well as described.
We would come back every time.
Disadvantages:
No warm water in the shower
The waste pids are not collected as announced
