This is a perfectly adequate place to stay if you need to be best the train station in LeMans. It is not, however, fancy. Didn't have the breakfast.
5.0
Helpful and friendly welcome. Private parking garage useful as parking is very limited. Very good breakfast.

Nice hotel and brilliant surroundings. A well run hotel in a nice area. Hotel parking in the cellar. Good breakfast. Le Mans is from just a race track. I am returning soon.

amazing! definitely highly recommend everyone i know if they want to visit Le Mans. Sandra helped me planning my trip to go karting and I had a fantastic experience. Particularly impressed the air conditioning in room is powerful. most places in Le Mans don't have air conditioning device.

A lot can be done to upgrade the hotel. Although louise and Sandra at reception are great. But the rooms need a lot of work. Parking was perfect. Patio convenient.

Small double bedroom on the ground floor but very clean and comfortable. Bathroom clean as well.
Good breakfast and friendly staff at reception and the breakfast room

It was awesome, the customer service was exceptional. The only negative comment is that the bed was a little stiff. Other than that it was great.

A very small room but comfortable. The hotel has managed to squeeze in all the necessities. For one night it was perfect. After a long trip it is wonderful to find a hospitality tray. The old town with its medieval buildings and little restaurants is interesting.

This little hotel is well run, comfortable and clean. Our room was small, but adequate, and a great alternative to the budget chains like Campanile. There is a small underground car park at a small extra cost. The breakfast was especially good with a plentiful selection of good quality items, and excellent fresh coffee. The old town is only 10 minutes stroll, and the cathedral well worth a visit.

Very welcoming staff, comfortable room with no frills but ideal for our one night stopover

Great to have secure parking, though entrance is very tight for a 4x4. Need code from reception to access.
We had small room and it is compact but fine for an overnight stay. Bed comfortable. Shower room good. A negative was the amount of noise we could hear from the next room.
Breakfast was excellent. Receptionist was effecient, helpful and spoke very good english.
Good location - 10 min walk from centre and 15 from old town.

The only complaint I could say about La Charleston was that it was extremely over priced (£559.98 for 3 nights without breakfast) but all the hotels were! I gather that it was because The Moto GP was on at the La Mans Circuit at the time we went, that is why we were there!

Hotel is near center of Le Mans and on tram way to the old city of " plantangenet ". Impressive abbey ! Hotel has underground parking for Euro 4 per day.

I stayed here for six nights and it was a very enjoyable experience. All the hotel staff were extremely pleasant and friendly. The hotel does a well stocked breakfast. The rooms were comfortable and I had a wc bath/shower which worked very well. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Le Mans TGV station and there is a tram stop at Leclerc/Fleurus about 5 minutes walk away. If you are feeling energetic it's about a fifteen minute walk to the Cite Plantaganet, the old city. The hotel reception shuts at 10 pm so if you are coming back late it's a good idea to keep your room key with you. You can gain access to the hotel through a door code which changes every week. The room had a kettle with coffee, tea and a complementary bottle of water when I arrived. The room also had a TV with about 40 channels including a couple in English.

Good location to walk into old town. Good value.Alowed to eat our own packed lunch in the sunny courtyard with drinks from the bar.

Great little hotel. Breakfast but no dinner although plenty of eateries within easy walking distance.

This is a really lovely hotel, close to the station and the motorway. Its beautifully decorated, the beds are comfy, there is off street parking (7 Euro) and you can bring your dog (7 Euro). We didn't have the breakfast as it seemed a bit pricey at 9 Euro, so we went to the local bakers. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The only probelm was the layout of the room was unusual. The bathroom was next to the window, and the bed therefore recessed next to the bathroom. As a result the cool air from the window didn't reach us at night, and we got very hot. If we hadn't been so late arriving we'd have asked for a fan.

My colleague and I stayed here for just one night, but we were very pleased with the hotel's amenities and level of comfort, both in our room and in the common spaces. The staff were helpful and pleasant, and the breakfast was ample and diverse, offering selections to please a variety of palates. Moreover, the building was very charming.
