We hosted our son’s family of five for the weekend. This home was more than up for the job with its four bedrooms & five baths. The full kitchen was great for breakfasts and pizzas. And of course the hot tub was a big hit. The home is convenient to Manitou (5 minute walk), as well as Garden of the Gods and Mueller State Park, two of our must-see places locally. This place is squeaky clean and full of charm. Grab it if it’s available for your group.

I had a fantastic stay at this quaint old home! The location is perfect—within walking distance to the cog railway and the Manitou Incline, making it an ideal spot for hiking enthusiasts. The house was VERY clean, with all appliances being new and well-maintained. The communication with the host was excellent, and they made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. I would love to stay here again if I ever come back to hike the Manitou Incline and Pike's Peak!

I rented this vrbo with a group of associates. There was plenty of room for everyone and we enjoyed our stay. Not far from the downtown area - easy walk to one of the fresh Manitou Springs sidewalk spring water fountains.

There were 6 of us adults attending a wedding and each of the bedrooms had their own bathroom, which was nice to have your private space. It was very clean and Jean was absolutely the best- quick to answer and so kind and accommodating!

This house was perfect for our family of four! Newly updated, very clean! Big enough that everyone had their own space! Walking distance to downtown Manitou and the Pikes Peak cog train. Just a fifteen minute drive Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Seven Falls. Nice hot tub and cute porch on the front of the house to sit and drink morning coffee. We loved it!!

It was a great house for gathering family for games and meals.

My family really enjoyed the property and the ability to walk to the Cog Railway as well as downtown. The kitchen had everything that was needed and the two main floor bedrooms were perfect. We found that the smaller of the two upstairs bedrooms never cooled off enough to sleep in so had to share a bed in the other room (this is the reason for the 4 star review; it would probably be better in cooler weather). The front steps are not for the faint of heart but the listening does provide a warning about this. It was a little more difficult for some members of our family to navigate the rough stairway than expected but they did get some good exercise out of it.

From this home to the Pike’s Peak Cog Railway station is only three uphill blocks. We enjoyed this attraction in the morning followed by an easy hike at Garden of the Gods in the afternoon.
After several days of eating in restaurants over graduation/Mothers Day weekend, we were happy to cook our own meals. The kitchen had all the pots, pans, and utensils we needed.

Thank you a lovely stay. Plenty of space and bathrooms!!! Loved the clawfoot bath tubs. Every morning saw beautiful birds out the window. Highly recommend…within walking distance to downtown Manitou Springs, Incline, and the train to the summit of Pike’s Peak.

Girl's weekend in Manitou Springs. No, we did not do the incline but it is very close by.....maybe this fall.
The house was wonderful. Meet our needs of everyone having their own bed and bathroom. That's great for 4 adults. The house had everything that we needed; was very clean and well stocked.
Maybe our stay place for our Manitou Incline Challenge.

Loved our time in Manitou Springs and this home was in a great location. The steps would be scary if it was icy, but we were lucky and that was not a concern. Would stay again.

This home was in a great location, walking distance to downtown Manitou Springs and many fun attractions. The house was perfect for my family of four. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. We wanted a quick spot to get away from Denver for a few nights and this home was perfect for our stay. It's so roomy and cozy and perfect for families with small (or grown!) children. Our 19 year old son loved the bedrooms and hot tub. The couch and throws in the living room were so warm and comfortable for watching a movie on a cold night that we talked about it a few times on the drive home :). The host was so gracious in answering any of our questions and we felt right at home. We'll definitely plan another stay here in the summer.

"Ruxton Estate" was an eclectic and quirky older home with a ton of conveniences and creature comforts - we loved staying in such a historic home! There was plenty of room for our 4-person group while we celebrated the start of our son's second year at the USAFA - each bedroom had it's own bathroom, which was very welcome and appreciated. The home, while old, was spotless and extremely clean and located close to the downtown nightlife and activities, but far enough away to provide quiet and relaxed evenings. We had one small problem with the Comcast box (turned out it was defective) and Jean was extremely responsive and had it replaced immediately - she even brought along sweet treats as way of apology (which was not needed but super-nice)! We will stay again next time we are in the area for sure and really appreciated Jean and her husband's kindness - they even let us stay a few hours post check-out since our flight didn't leave until late. A+++ VRBO experience!
