All you need for comfortable living is there. Cozy, convenient location. Plenty of rooms and space in the house and unforgettable charm.

The place was awesome very unique and very little drive through traffic since it’s on a dead end street. The owner was very friendly would definitely recommend this place.

The house was so cool because it was old but had some new stuff as well. The owner is amazing, we had trouble with the air conditioning and he was on top of the problem and didn't rest until it was fixed. It was nice to have 3 full baths and one is huge. Nice living space on the top floor with ample seating. One thing that needs attention are the interior doors and handles. A dishwasher would be nice if you're planning on using the kitchen much. All in all a nice place.

The house was the perfect gathering spot for 6 of us visiting my sister in Boston. Very comfortable bedrooms for everyone and loved that there were 3 full bathrooms. The main bathroom with the rainfall shower was AMAZING, even though there were other bathroom options we all fought over that one :)

I absolutely loved this house. Very cute and clean and QUIET! I used the Jacuzzi tub/bubble bath and I have never been so relaxed. This trip was for my birthday and Boston did not disappoint. If I ever make my way back up I will be staying here again. ❤️

There were four of us - two single women, and the overseas parents of a young man graduating from the Berklee School of Music. We all loved our Saco Street apartment. it was very clean, tidy, and well appointed. The bedrooms are all on the second floor - three bedrooms and two full baths. Each bedroom has a queen size bed, its own mini fridge, a large screen, smart TV, and a new Mitsubishi split unit heating /cooling system. The beds were comfortable, one was especially firm. The bathrooms were interesting with painted wall/shower murals, and intricate tiling.
This is an older home which has been renovated, and much of its original charm has been maintained, or perhaps improved on, in our opinion. The stairs were refinished, new windows, nicely painted, plenty of closet and storage space. The wooden floors are a bit creaky, and walking around late at night might awaken a light sleeper.
The galley kitchen and large open seating area is on the third floor. it is quite comfortable with several sofas and a couple of armchairs and a a large smart TV. We didn’t cook much, eggs and toast for breakfast, coffee, and tea. But the kitchen is well equipped, and preparation of meals would not be difficult.
We like the neighborhood - there are Vietnamese, Thai, in Asian fusion restaurants, nearby, as well as pizza and burger places. Grocery shopping is several blocks away and the red line metro station that connect you throughout the Boston area is about a 10 minute walk.

Although the house, rental process and neighborhood has some issues, we overall enjoyed the space and our stay there.
We really appreciated all the space (on the second and third floor of the house - the first floor is another unit) that the home offers. We also liked that it comes with off-street parking, that the kitchen is well equipped and that there was a stash of cereals and snacks. And we love that it's dog friendly, even though we didn't bring our dogs.
On the downside, the list uses a service called Vacasa in addition to Vrbo. I guess that's in order to reduce the work for the owner. But it meant we got double emails for the same subjects, and when we did reach out to Vacasa (just once), we didn't hear back for two days, which was after when we needed the answer, and they didn't accommodate our request anyway. Big pain.
Regarding the house, there are some funky room configuration things. Most of them have their own digital locks, TVs and fridges, and it feels a bit like a rooming house. There are also a number of rough edges, so to speak, where you can tell a lot of the work was done DIY (do it yourself). And one of the showers wouldn't get hot and the toilets didn't flush well. Lastly, the neighborhood is so-so. It seems reasonably safe, but there are some properties nearby that are pretty rough.
Again, overall we were happy with our stay and would consider staying there again.

Unlike some Vacasa’s I’ve stayed at this was very clean!! Great spot just out side of Boston easy Uber ride into the city. We would stay here again.

Owner of the property was very helpful. We were able to access the property before the usual check-in time. Anytime we had an issue the owner was quick to resolve it as much as possible.

Perfect location and clean accommodations. We were a bit disappointed bc the master shower/jacuzzi did not get hot water. I contacted the host who responded quickly. A plumber was supposed to come out to check the plumbing but never showed. There were 2 other showers to use but just a bit disappointed

Our owner, Christopher, host was a delight. We learned that this really old property was owned by the Irish chef of police of Boston. A lot of stairs to climb. Nice kitchen/family room. It’s an old house that needs some minor fixing up and a lot of attention to small details be an overall five star property. The location is only 5 to 6 miles from downtown Boston and the airport but during rush hour the commute is a real challenge. Plenty outlets for our electronics. More than most hotels.

Plenty of space and very comfortable. The hosts stocked us with bottled waters and snacks, very appreciated. Neighbors were a bit noisy for bedtime, but not terribly so. Very comfortable and great location away from the rat race.

This home is located in Dorchester, MA. 26 minutes from most major locations in and around town. The home is as advertised, decently clean and very quiet and spacious. Parking is available on the street in front of the home. The home itself is an older home, and has some character. Some of the amenities do not work — the Kuerig did not work, the TVs in the bedroom didn’t properly connect, and one of the lamps in the bedroom didn’t charge a device using a USB cord. There are plenty of towels to use, and the washer and dryer are new and work well. The home is safe place to stay. Good value for the price paid. So long Boston, until we meet again.

Reviewer Comments:
Our stay at this property was pleasant and it certainly fulfilled its job to provide my family with a place to stay outside of Boston. There were some issues though that really bothered us. The biggest was that the stove did not work and we couldn’t cook any of our own meals like we were planning to do. We actually bought 150$ worth of groceries before arriving at the rental and most of it went to waste. When I reached out to the rental company, it felt like the response was automated and no one ever came to help resolve the problem although the robot tester insinuated that someone might come out to help. Another issue was that the shower in the main bathroom did not get hot, also, less important but unfortunate, there was a very strong smell of cat pee on the entrance floor. I wish we could have received some type of discount on our stay being that we probably paid 3x the amount we had planned to for food but my experience getting in touch with the owner or rental company has been awful. If you have to travel on a budget with a lot of people, this could be the place for you, but if you’re looking for a very cozy and comfortable stay with all the amenities, this isn’t the best choice.

This is a multi unit property which we knew BUT there is no way to lock the door that connects the two properties. The man staying in the connecting property could get into ours and we have kids. NOT safe at all and the listing did not say connecting properties. STAY AWAY
