About this house rental
Boston is known for its famous clam chowder, the Boston Marathon, the bar from Cheers, baseball (the Red Sox), Fenway Park and of course, baked beans. But did you know that Boston is famous also for its rich history, and that it was the birthplace of the American Revolution (Boston Tea Party, anyone)?
The Massachusetts capital is also known as the Athens of America for its artistic and intellectual prowess — after all, it does boast of some of the greatest colleges and universities such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, Tufts University and Berklee School of Music.
ThisCozy place 15 Minutes from Downtown Boston / Sea Port, walking distance to restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy and public transportation. Also, close to Boston's Main artery i93 which will take you anywhere you need to go in Boston.

Very nice home :), really quiet. Only 7 miles to town . Rental owner communication was very good. Awesome time in Boston

We received all the information we needed the day before check-in. The house was as advertised. The offstreet parking was great. The house was walking distance to a grocery store, Dunkin’ Donuts, and several other places. The people in the area that I interacted with were very friendly.

The house was clean and well stocked. We could get to the T easily and enjoy the city of Boston.

Exactly what we needed in a quiet neighborhood close to everything. We stayed there for The Boston Figure Skating Club and it was as about a 30 min drive in traffic.

Loved Boston and the house was perfect for the 4 of us

Overall the location and home were wonderful. The community was nice, welcoming and we felt safe. The home was equipped woth everything you need from toiletries and kitchen needs. Entrance to the home was easy but you must remember to manually lock the door when you enter or push the button to lock it. We had an issue with the downstairs toiket, and the July 4th holiday delayed matters, however it was addressed pretty swiftly by a plumber. Aside from that everything was great and perfect for meeting al our needs. We all would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay in this nice little house. The house was set up and decorated nicely and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was safe, we sat out on the front porch in evening to enjoy a class of wine and ate dinner outside on the completely private back deck. We walked to D&D and dinner at a local tavern that had excellent food and exercised on the greenway which is 11/2 blocks from the house. We would surely stay at this place again.

We had an amazing time. The house was very nice and just what we needed. The only thing I would say is the address should say Mattapan instead of Boston. Otherwise, no other issue. Thank you for letting us stay in your home.

Easy, convenient, no stress

We enjoyed our stay. Because the home is a craftsman home, taller guests may prefer staying in the downstairs bedroom versus upstairs. There were 5 of us and we all had plenty of room to move about. Loved the front and back porches for coffee and tea in the mornings.

Very good

Stayed here for 5 nights in May 2024 to see sights in and around the area (Lexington and Concord, Quincy, Plymouth, Salem, and downtown Boston). House provided a jumping off point for all these destinations and was a comfortable retreat after dealing with the obnoxious traffic. Kitchen was well equipped for us to cook a hot breakfast every morning; upstairs queen mattress was comfortable; and having access to a washer and dryer to cut down on the amount of clothes we had to pack was wonderful. Communication with the host and check-in was super easy. As another guest mentioned, there is no shampoo, conditioner, or soap/body wash for the bathroom (although there is liquid handsoap for the sink) so make sure to pack those items. There are several restaurants and a small grocery store within walking distance. Thank you again Victor for hosting us!

We had no issues with the property whatsoever. It worked perfectly for our family getaway. Kitchen was nicely provisioned. Linens were plenty and nice. Off street parking was very much appreciated. Quiet neighborhood and local restaurants were great!

Great location easy to get to all of Boston, clean and well maintained, large kitchen and living room. Enjoyed our stay

The property was a good fit for us.

We had a great stay!
With that being said, there are two items to be aware of.
1. It is actually located in Mattapan not in Boston. We took an Uber to get there and explained to our driver that it was important to go to the one at the Zip provided. We could not find a way to put the zip into Uber. We ended up going to the wrong address and had to pay a 2nd fee to get there. Just be aware that it is in Mattapan.
2. The property was well stocked and we had everything we needed with one exception. There was not soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the bathrooms. These items are typically provided by other VRBO’s and not having them was inconvenient.
Don’t get me wrong, we had a great stay and would recommend it as long as you understand the items above.

We loved the house, it was clean, well stocked, and the bed was very comfortable. It is within walking distance to a big grocery store and public transportation (the trolley that takes you to the train) and the neighborhood was quiet. We would stay there again if we make it back to Boston.

Cute House. Price was good. Used Uber to go back and forth to Boston. Area seemed quiet. Great breakfast spot in walking distance - Sweet Life Bakery and Cafe.

This vacation property was just as stated, a remodeled house in a neighborhood just south of downtown Boston. It was approximately 20 minutes to anywhere we went over the weekend (except Concord Lexington and Salem). The grocery store was right around the corner as was the liquor store. (Hint) groceries in MA do not sell beer. Restuarant/bar, Taqueria, and coffee shop within walking distance.
The laundry was in the unfinished basement, no problem for us as our basement is unfinished also. The beds were comfy, the kitchen well stocked (bigger coffee cups (wink, wink). Very clean house, fluffy towels and a grest host
Thank You

Quaint rental property, but for 5 guys who were not too picky and just needed a place to sleep, it was perfect! Chatting with some local law enforcement, we learned it’s not the best town, but we weren’t out taking any late night strolls around the neighborhood either. In reality, we couldn’t have asked for better place for us. It shows just the same as in the photos, is clean, with soft linens!! What more do you need??

We enjoyed our stay. Very close to where we needed to be. The only suggestion I would have when staying here is to be sure you clarify the location. There are several streets that have the same name so we went to three different locations before we were in the correct place.
4.9
Great place with plenty of room, had a group of 6 and fit comfortably.

Only suggestion would be to have propane for the grill. Couldn't find any anywhere.

The house was a great place to come back and spend the evening after a long day out exploring! It was also out of the hustle and bustle but still close enough to be able to get to places quickly.

This little gem is close to resturants and a grocery store as well as the orange line - but in a quiet neighborhood.

The house has been attractively restored and well kept I was confusion about the house’s location. Seems we traveled through tunnels when going to Boston, Arlington and Winthrop. Traffic is terrible. Unable to contact owner when circuit breaker blew but found the panel to restore power.

Nice place! Very clean and well kept. Communication was quick. Very easy to work with. Not far from the downtown Boston!
Would recommend and stay again in the area!
