CLEAN , CALM PLACE !!! HAD A GREAT TIME . THANK YOU !!!

At The Blue Whales Hotel, everything was really clean, like the beds, towels, and pillows. The bathroom was nice, with hot water available. It was peaceful around there, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I'd say it's a good place to stay that doesn't cost too much, and I'd definitely recommend it.

The room had everything I needed, including a well-equipped kitchenette with all the essentials. From the bed to the furniture, it was all there. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting me from the moment I inquired about booking until the end of my stay. I had a wonderful time overall.

Feel like Home

When I arrived, the staff at the hotel was super helpful. They sorted out transportation, suggested great restaurants, and told me all about the cool places to see in Hikkaduwa and Galle. The rooms had both air conditioning and fans, plus a pantry to cook food if I wanted. Everything was right there. Since it's a new hotel, I really felt like I got my money's worth.

We had a GREAT experience! The staff was very friendly,owner Jayananda was nice and very helpful in accommodating for our stay. The beds were comfortable, everything was nice and clean.

BAD!! One of my worst experiences in 20+ years of traveling

New hotel, short walk from beach

I had two main problems at check in: 1. I booked a one bedroom apartment (602 ft2) and was given a small room as seen in the pictures. The staff wasn't even sorry, and asked me to cancel my reservation. There was a two bedroom apartment available but they did not accept to upgrade me for free, so I got downgraded at the same price! To make it worse, they gave the 2 bedroom apartment to a girl the next day 'because she was crying', It was NYE, all other hotels were fully booked so I decided to stay. 2. The staff demanded that I keep my passport with them, that a copy is not sufficient. THIS IS AGAINST SRI LANKAN LAW, so please don't accept! I called a booking.com agent who resolved the matter and forced them to take a copy only. Besides all that, the hotel is located next to a club and the railway, so imagine all the noise both day and night. Moreover, there were no amenities whatsoever (soap, shower gel, toilet paper). I also had a lizard and huge insect in the room on different days. It's just very sad that my stay ended up like that, as only some effort would have made it a really good one

The strategic location not only offered proximity to the beach but also facilitated easy exploration of nearby attractions like Galle Fort, Jungle Beach,turtle Beach and other places in Hikkaduwa and Galle. In conclusion, The Blue Whales Hotel is a coastal haven that seamlessly blends attentive service, pristine cleanliness, prime location, top-notch facilities, ultimate comfort, and incredible value. If you're seeking a peaceful escape with a touch of luxury in Hikkaduwa, this hotel comes highly recommended.
