Granite Chief Lodge is an impressive, mountain home nestled on a peaceful cul-de-sac, in a private subdivison. The location is truly spectacular, sitting just up the road from Palisades Tahoe in Olympic Valley, a world renown ski area, and backing up to beautiful, tree-lined views. For those itching to get the first tracks in fresh powder each morning, Granite Chief Lodge delivers. No need to worry about traffic lines, you are practically, already there. The Mountaineer shuttle makes it easy to access Olympic Valley and Alpine Meadows without a car by offering free, on-demand rides anywhere within the two valleys. (The two separate mountains, formerly Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows, now go by the unified name of Palisades Tahoe and a day's lift ticket offers access to both resorts via the Base to Base Gondola, the first of its kind in North America, connecting the two base areas of the individual mountains. Guests will now be able to enjoy 6,000 acres of some of the continent’s most iconic ski and snowboard terrain.) A few minutes down the road is Everline Resort and Spa with delectable restaurants, ice skating and luxury spa services, as well as a championship golf course, meadows for snowshoeing, XC skiing, and sledding. The activities also abound at the Village at Palisades Tahoe, so plan on listening to some concerts, strolling through festivals and taking an aerial tram ride for hiking and biking adventures.
Inside Granite Chief lodge, the large great room features two seating areas, each with their own fireplace, one gas burning and one wood burning. High ceilings, a gourmet kitchen and an oversized dining table create the ideal space for entertaining. The primary suite is on the main living level, with three ensuite bedrooms downstairs. A two car garage and a hot tub on the deck complete the vacation rental home and mountain living experience. This is one authentic Tahoe home that everyone will love!

Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. You may find valuable winter driving tips from the CHP here: https://bit.ly/3IKiY7n
