The home for our needs since we were spending our days exploring DC. Neighbors seemed friendly.
I felt like the kitchen could use a deep clean and some organizing. There were crumbs in the drawers so I felt like I needed to wash anything before using it. Other than that everything was totally fine. Loved the newer shower that was attached to the bedroom upstairs! Thank you for letting us use your home for the week.

Had a great week visiting DC from Texas and this house made it possible. Anything perceived as negative in this review, I'm sure, has already been addressed as I have not communicated with the owner first. It was all ready for us and I had no need to pester the owner while we were there.
A common problem I see in host homes is that there are too many pots/pans etc which makes it difficult to keep them all clean and organized. I'm a freak in this regard due to my occupation, so my standard is likely different than most. But in all that I couldn't find a coffee pot.
The mirror needs to be mounted in the downstairs bathroom. Water pressure and temperature were great throughout the home. Lots of towels available. Lots of them which was great for the 8 of us. Laundry machines worked great.
We're from rural Texas and I was nervous about security in DC but my wife/fam said they never once felt threatened or uneasy. There are more homeless in DC than here and the local (super easy to access) drug store/grocery store have stuff locked up and extra security guards which was strange to us. Just a cultural difference is all. This home is about 200 feet from a gigantic police station and the people were all friendly that we talked to.
We used the easy to access and park "Congress Heights" subway stop daily for all our touring. We also visited the Frederic Douglass home which is maybe a 5 minute drive from this home.
Thanks to the host, we had a great trip. I definitely recommend.

We went there to meet up our family we haven't seen in years...the communication with the owner was great. The house have everything you need, the neighborhood was quite. The only thing was the mattresses (not all rooms has comfortable mattress. We would stay again.

Everything was okay, with a few exception. Owner was great in addressing the issues. Cleaning it does need a deep cleaning. Furniture it need needs new couch on the bottom but the owner mention the previous people broke it before we got there so it was inconvenient for us since we had a big group. The mattress do need to be changed as most of them were bumpy. But over all kids had a great time playing. And it meet of needs for a good weekend.

Property was nothing special and had some quirks, but the showers were hot and it was conveniently located for easy travel to Anacostia Metro and DC attractions. Property owner was quick to respond and kind. Most beds were comfy. Quite a bit of space, even with 11 of us (mostly kids). Enjoyed our stay!

This is a very good place to stay. Our family stayed comfortably, with enough beds and bathrooms to use. A few upkeep needed but otherwise our stay was good. It is close to groceries, pharmacy etc and also a block away from a police station so you are assured a safe stay.
Communication with owner was easy and fast, check in was easy too. So if you'll be staying in the Washington DC area, this is a good place to check out.

I rented the property because it was in close proximity to my daughter's commencement ceremony. I was there with my children who flew down from different parts of the country and out the country. The property is very nice and spacious and had its perks. The only disappointment was the condition of the bathrooms which had left over used soaps from prior guests which was not appealing at all, also the drainage in the bathrooms upstairs was not good the shower had a slow drain. The mattress in the downstairs bedroom should be replaced because it was so uncomfortable to sleep in due to the squeaking sound it makes. Overall we had a nice time in this property. Thank you

Upon check in at this location, my group explored the home as we usually do. The kitchen was not clean. There was a dirty knife in the sink. The refrigerator looked as if it had not been deep cleaned in years - there was dirt under the glass shelving and food stuck to the back of the interior. The beds had one sheet and a thin fleece blanket on each bed. The bathroom had open tubes of toothpaste sitting on the edge of the sink. It was way more unkempt than any place I have ever stayed with VRBO. We left after securing another place to stay for the weekend. I do not recommend this location and am very unhappy with VRBO for even fronting this location. A very bad experience. The homeowner did offer to provide a cleaning service at 6:30 p.m. on a Friday evening, if we were not in the home. The neighborhood felt fairly unsafe and we were planning on dinner at home that evening so this was not a useful offer to our group.

We had an amazing stay at this vrbo in Southeast DC!! The house was spacious with beautiful hardwood floors in the main areas and the host was very responsive but we had no issues. The house was about a 20 minute drive to all the monuments and museums of DC - very convenient!! The multi-level house allowed all of us to have plenty of room to enjoy our own space while getting together in two of the major common areas. The house was well kept and VERY clean. Gorgeous kitchen!! We will definitely be returning there the next time we are in DC. We loved it!

This was my first time using Vrbo because Airbnb was completely booked out, I found this amazing home and the host was very responsive and helpful. This home was very beautiful and my guest and I had a delightful stay, and I'll stay again soon.
