Only 2 hours from Boston and 3 hours from NYC this home’s location is perfect for a quick weekend away.
Revel in the absolute beauty of Western Massachusetts/Southern Vermont by exploring the many scenic areas and culture. Treat yourself to delicious meals at some of the local eateries. The town of Charlemont is a hill town community located along the Deerfield River and scenic Mohawk Trail in Northwestern, Ma. You can feel the history in town and even visit the historic Hoosic tunnel which is a few miles up the road (and if you’re lucky you may even see the freight train pass by the house). In the summer, tubing down the river is quite an adventure. The home provides river tubes for guests which are stored in the barn (life vests are not provided so please plan accordingly). Berkshire East Mountain Resort is approximately 5 minutes away and offers white water rafting tours, downhill skiing, mountain biking, ziplines, an aerial adventure park and mountain coaster. Hicks Family Farm and Corn Maze is a great spot in the fall for pumpkin picking and also does a super scary haunted corn maze.
Shelburne Falls, a vibrant art community, is approximately 15 minutes away and is home to the famous Bridge of Flowers, art galleries, coffee shops, eateries, boutiques and a bowling alley. Historic downtown Wilmington Vt is approximately 25 minutes away and is also full of independently owned shops and restaurants. Celebrating farm-to-table culture, many local restaurants offer the best of the bounty of the land and there are specialty stores such as Quaigh Designs, The Vermont Bowl Company and the Norton Quilt House to visit. Mt. Snow is approximately 45 minutes away and Stratton Mountain is under an hour from the house. If boating or jet skiing is more your jam, High County Marine is a rental business located in Wilmington, Vt.
Back at the home you will find a charming, well appointed kitchen with a large island for prepping your favorite meal. The kitchen is open to the dining room which includes an 8’ custom farmhouse table, a charming fireplace and 2 comfortable swivel chairs for lounging. Adjacent is a large living room with sectional sofa and flat screen tv which is the most comfortable place to curl up and watch a movie with your family. This room has french doors leading to a beautiful outdoor goshen stone patio and fire pit surrounded by lush perennial gardens. To complete the first floor there is a bedroom with queen sized bed, a full bathroom, and a bedroom with king sized bed and ensuite. The second floor adds a full bathroom, 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds and a bedroom with 2 twin sized beds. There is also a small office space should you need a place to work ( though hopefully you won’t!)
Enjoy a family picnic in the barn where a grill and farmhouse table is available for use. Ping pong, corn hole and other games in the barn are available for our guests use as well. Or, sit on the porch and take in the sounds of nature and the Deerfield River. This special home has something for everyone to enjoy. Stay at this retreat and truly appreciate all the beauty that this home and area has to offer. Early check-ins and late check-outs are extremely hard to accommodate due to cleaning and maintenance schedules. Please don’t assume these can be accomodated. If you need more time please book accordingly. Thanks so much for your understanding.

House is just as described. Loved the garage with the ping pong table, and use of grills

The house and area are terrific. The kitchen is great to work in, the play-garage with the ping pong table, grill and picnic table were just the thing for hanging out and relaxing as was the fire pit in the back yard. It was so nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts were great with easy communication.

Two families and a range of ages in our two families found comfort, laughs, and enough space to relax in this lovely place. We recommend if you are looking to ride small rapids, visit MassMoCA, enjoy Shelbourne Falls, or just soak in the Beekshes, this stay-cation is a great home base.

We had a great stay at this property. Lot of activities to do in this area- river tubing, mountain roller coaster, ski lift rides, zip lining etc. House is very nicely done and well-equipped with all the essentials. The ping-pong table was a big hit with the kids.
Not too many restaurants very close to the house but that didn't make a big difference to our short stay. A couple of decent grocery stores are very close to the house and that worked out well.

Rustic, older home with a lot of class and completely renovated inside. Everything needed was there and then some. Felt like we knew the owners, even though we’ve never met. Very thoughtful and considerate of our needs. Would highly recommend for any season!

The house is beautiful. An old farmhouse, completely renewed. The beds were very comfortable, and the central air was a lifesaver in this heatwave. Everything we needed in the kitchen to make meals. Games and toys for kids as well as streaming services on the television really helped keep my kids occupied. Outside, the gardens are beautiful and well maintained. My family enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. A very quiet and relaxing getaway, we will definitely be back!

We loved our stay here. Helpful hosts, and a home that is even better than the pictures show. It is recently renovated and beautifully done.
There are plenty of games for kids and the location is close to the river and within 30 minutes of North Adams!

This beautiful home was spotless, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The back garden was lush and peaceful. And the welcome gift was very much appreciated. Especially since this is an area where there isn’t a large number of accommodations available, we felt very lucky to be able to stay here .
