About this cottage rental
From our family to yours, come enjoy our favourite place on Earth!
[ EXTERIOR ]
Lennys Lakehouse is located in the heart of Muskoka 20 minutes from either Port Carling or Bracebridge. It's on a quiet country road at the end of a court with very minimal traffic. The only people around are any cottage neighbours providing a lot of privacy during your stay.
When you drive in you'll immediately notice the stunning views of the lake then, to the right you'll see a shed and some green space. The grass area provides ample room for games and has a wonderful view of the lake. The shed is where you'll find games, rods, fire fluid and other items you may need.
Straight ahead from the driveway you'll see our first deck which has an L couch and table, a small bar and our fire pit area. All of this is nestled in between Canadian Sheild rock! The deck provides amazing views of the sunset and also has very neat neon sign that helps light up the deck at night! All the deck railings are glass so no view is obstructed. The front door to the cottage is also located off this deck.
The bunkie is located off Dock 2 and has one double bed on the bottom and a custom size bed on top (smaller than a double but bigger than a queen). There is also a mirror and some shelves for clothing storage. The bunkie faces the lake with beautiful views and three windows that open inside for a breeze. It smells like pine inside and is a fan favourite for places to cozy up.
If you continue to walk around the deck, there is a wrap around portion that passes by two screen door from the sunroom and carries onto deck number 2. This is where we have our outdoor dining area located. It also has a few steps off the deck that bring you to the Bunkie. This space is so beautiful for sunset dinners. With the cottage being elevated from the water, you cannot beat the orange and pink skies. On deck number 1 - there is also a path of stairs that lead you to the dock.
Down by the water, you'll find a large dock (16x20ft) which provides tons of room for lounging, yoga sessions or family time! We also have 2 fibreglass paddle boards, a paddleboat and various floatation devices. There is a bin with lifejackets and fishing equipment as well.
Our lake is very quiet so boat traffic is minimal. Swimming off the dock is fantastic as it's deep at the end of the dock (17ft or so). If you want to walk into the water, the shoreline does provide a sandy/rock area that is accessible to walk in.
Garbage: At the end of the driveway there is a green bear proof garbage bin to your left. You are able to put 2 bags (not exceeding 50lbs) of garbage per week in there and as much recycling bags as you need. Any extra garbage will need to be addressed on your own either to the dump in Bracebridge or brought off premise. It's very important to lock the bin to keep animals out.
[ INTERIOR ]

There is lots of counter space and most amenities such as plates, utensils, cups, mugs, children's dishes & utensils, pots, pans and some basic spices.
There is a farm style dining room tables and chairs with wonderful views of the lake through our sunroom area. There are 6 chairs.
The sunroom overlooks the lake and has a daybed that pulls out into a double bed if extra sleeping space is needed. There is also two chairs in this room for extra seating. It's the perfect place to read a book or take a mid day snooze!
The living room in the cottage has a large screen tv (it is not a smart tv) but we do have a firestick with some access to channels. The L couch is made of genuine leather and very comfortable. We also have a bin of lots of games for rainy days. There is also an old school Nintendo game consul with a few games! The entire cottage is equipped with Wifi - Starlink internet.
The cottage has one washroom and is on a septic system. The washroom includes a glass shower, toilet, sink and some storage space. It will be equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and towels. The water is heat with propane.
There are two bedrooms in the cottage. Bedroom one has a double bed, crib and one dresser. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed, 1 dresser and ceiling fan.
The cottage does not hair air conditioning but we do have a window unit available on premise that can easily be hooked up if needed. Being elevated, the breeze is usually sufficient with the screen doors open in the sunroom and windows! For head on colder nights, we do have radiant heat but usually just plug in the electric heaters.
