About this house rental
Welcome to The Buddha House, located in the most perfect location just 1.5 miles from the Pearl Street Mall.
It is conveniently situated along several bike trails, and walking distance to open space, great neighborhood dining, grocery and wine & spirits stores. This beautiful retreat is close to everything, yet quiet and peaceful.
THE SPACE
The Buddha House is lovingly appointed, with an open floor plan, high ceilings with an upper level loft, two bedrooms, a full bath with bathtub, and original artwork throughout. It has a private front porch and entrance, and an extremely spacious deck.
The kitchen is well equipped, with a full size refrigerator, stove and oven, dishwasher, blender, coffee and tea accoutrements. The pots, pans, dishes and glassware are all you need to prepare a perfect meal. Sit at the counter, or enjoy meals at the four-person table or on the deck. There is a brand new top-of-the-line LG washer and dryer for clothes washing.
The living room is open and airy, with lovely light entering the space from multiple windows. There is a beautiful working fireplace that makes The Buddha House particularly cozy in the colder months. It also has a brand new Carrier air conditioner that keeps the home cool in the hot Boulder summer.
The loft is an extra special spot. There is a brand new 55” LG Smart TV with a subscription to YouTube that includes live TV from 100+ broadcast, cable and regional sports networks. The loft also has a Taschen book collection for our guests’ enjoyment. It is the perfect place to sink into your morning mediation, practice yoga, watch a movie, or hand off to your teenager so they can enjoy their own space (making it easier for you to enjoy yours!). There is a desk, a printer and office supplies but hopefully you won't have to work too hard during your stay. Please note that the loft is accessible via a steep staircase which isn't appropriate for folks with physical limitations.
The bedrooms are furnished with 5-star hotel-quality mattresses, 300 count Egyptian cotton sheets, and down pillows that will feel like you are sleeping in the clouds. There is ample hanging and drawer space for your clothes. Blackout curtains for our light sleepers make the bedrooms extra comfy.
There are tennis (and pickleball) courts just steps out the front door, and we have tennis rackets and balls, as well as yoga mats, cushions, and blocks for our guests to use. Boulder Bicycle e-bikes are available for rent with convenient stations for pick up and drop off all around town. Bikeway paths can take you anywhere you want to go.
But the most beautiful spot of all just may be the 400 square foot deck. Both the primary bedroom and living area open to this special space defined by raised flower beds, a water feature, fire table and sofa. There is a Weber grill. The deck is graced with a soulful marble Buddha imported from Tibet, providing the inspiration for the name, and vibe, of this special home.
We encourage you to contact us with any questions you may have about The Buddha House or the amenities we offer. Our goal is to provide you with a Boulder home-away-from-home that you will want to come back to again and again!
GUEST ACCESS
No keys to lose or to return! The Buddha House has a secure, keyless entry with a smart lock system. There is one dedicated parking spot just steps from the front door.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
The Buddha House accommodates up to four guests. Teenage children (over the age of 12) are welcome, and a high quality air mattress can be set up in the loft.
Please note that the loft is accessed by a ladder-like staircase making the space inappropriate for young children and people with physical limitations. Care should be taken going up and down the staircase. In addition to the steep stairs up to the loft, there are about 10 steps leading from the parking lot to the front porch, which you can see in one of the photos.
The Buddha House is expensively equipped and decorated and we trust you will care for it like your own home.
We use organic (when possible) cleaners and disinfectants, and clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists. Extra cleaning supplies are on hand for use by our guests. Cleanliness is, after all, next to godliness.
We can’t wait to welcome you. Namaste!
