The Beach Castle also features outdoor showers, a picnic table, a huge sundeck, and even a full sized pool!
Located on Fort Morgan, Beach Castle is close to many restaurants, golf courses, and other things to do, feels away from it all (but is only a short drive to all the hubbub on Gulf Shores itself), and is often a more cost-efficient choice for those who seek something a little more laid back. Plus, as an added bonus, our Fort Morgan vacation homes are not currently subject to the same restrictions on setting up umbrellas and other amenities overnight as those in Gulf Shores itself.
TWO REFRIGERATORS
Two? Per side? Yes two. Because you won't want to stay somewhere without an extra fridge once you have had them.
POOL
Big. Private to the two sides of the duplex: no sharing with other places nearby. The pool is open all year. It's big! 30x15x3-5'! Rectangle. Lounge chairs are provided around the pool.
WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 100Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!
PARKING
There is available onsite, offstreet, parking for at least 6 midsize vehicles (per side), more if you stack well. In duplex units, please be neighborly about this.
SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, GRILLS ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have both drip coffee makers and Keurigs as well.
PETS
We do consider well-behaved canine furry friends at many locations. This requires owner pre-approval, and is subject to a pet fee (currently $250 per pet). Approval in a duplex location, especially for peak weeks, generally is only available for guests renting both sides of the duplex. Please inquire.
No smoking please, but feel free to eat lots of shrimp, bask in the warm sun, and have a great time!

Our stay in your beautiful home was wonderful. The pool was fantastic as well. We had no problems. Had BOTH the east and west sides. Plenty of room for everyone. We have rented large houses in the Gulf Shores area before but by far this one was the best. Everyone had a great time. Thank you so much.

The location is wonderful! Excellent spot right on the beach with a pool. Amenities were as expected. The only concerns we have is the maintenance of the place. Both sides had crucial issues that were evident the place has not been maintained. HVAC air filters clogged, Hot on the 4th floor - old AC units. Internet/WiFi issues/not working. Minimal pots/pans/cooking ware (very old). Leaks in the ceiling, rusty door handles/hinges. MOLD. The space needs a serious update! Would not recommend until the space is upgraded. We had a revolving door of maintenance personnel the whole week.

Beach Castle was WONDERFUL. Book it now! :-) My big family had the best time here. Plenty of room for everyone. And we actually really enjoyed being on Fort Morgan where it was a lot more chill than in Gulf Shores itself. Easy drive back too if we wanted to go to a restaurant or shopping. Couldn't have been more perfect unless you could control Mother Nature. We had a couple of super beach days. But the house was fantastic. The weather turned on us mid trip but gave us lots of game time. We have mastered UNO! Lol we called the management team to request a mop. It arrived in 20 minutes. Just so we could clean up as the week went along. I don't like to leave a mess and you know with kids there's always a spill here and there!
This was the best trip and we really appreciated how well stocked the house is. We left salt/pepper and dishwasher pods and laundry pods for the next visitors. Hopefully their trip is as fun as ours was!

Everything was wonderful this year except that the flew by so fast! There were 33 of us again this year between the East and West sides. A few from last year couldn't make it, but we also added a couple of new ones. The sand and the water were sooo clean and clear. And comparing it to SGI were we spent 10 summers, we've all decided that you all have the best beach by far! We are already set up to return next summer. This is all of ours favorite week of the year and are counting the sleeps until next summer. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

We had a fabulous time at Beach Castle. So big! We had lots of room to spread out. And so secluded. Like having the beach all to ourselves. The great big pool, beachfront in the sun, was BIG hit among everyone too.

The house had some amazing views of the Gulf. The kids enjoyed watching the dolphins playing out in front of the house. It was nice to see the Blue angels practicing and doing tricks. Thanks again for a great vacation rental.

I have been in charge of taking a group to different locations for probably the last 10-15 years and I have to say, this was by far the best house that we have rented. It was clean and appropriately stocked. We enjoyed your home. We have never stayed that far out of Gulf Shores, but we have all decided it was the absolute best location.

We have stayed with Bama Beach Houses in 3 different houses--this year in both sides of Beach Castle--and each visit is better than the last! While the houses and the beach are amazing, it's refreshing to work with a company that's so accommodating and available. Anytime we head to the gulf, we already know where we will be looking to book.

It was very nice. Very well equipped. Just a few things we noticed that might need attending to. The dryer seemed to take a really long time to dry a load. The ceiling in 4th floor master bath was very moldy. Instructions on how to work the TV would be nice. There were several remotes. We never got the living room TV to work. We just watched movies. Other than these few things, it was great.

The house worked out great. Our entire party couldn't have been happier. The location was perfect space and bedrooms worked out great for us. We had a group of 19 that spanned ages from 9 to 82 and many years in between. We all had a great time and enjoyed the stay.

I absolutely loved the e-mails from you and Southern keeping us up on our vacation. We had a wonderful time with no worries thanks to you all. Your home is beautiful, this was our second year staying there and it's already booked by us for next year. The new updates, door, refrigerators, etc were not unnoticed. A couple things I told Southern were nails on deck needed pounded down and were still not able to use whirlpool. Might be us not understanding how. There were 4 generations of us staying there and we all were so comfortable. What a happy time for us. Again thank you, we feel in wonderful hands with you.
