Built over 100 years ago by the Babbitt family, this 4,660 sqft home had a significant addition in the 1980s and has been recently updated into a modern luxury home with historic charm. It is a perfect setup to host colleagues, a retreat, a ski trip to nearby Snowbowl, or small family gatherings. Please keep in mind that registered guests only, no parties, and strictly enforced house rules.
The common areas consist of various spaces for everyone to enjoy. At nightfall, gather on the deck and hot tub area after hosting an elegant dinner in the historic dining room. The main house dates from 1914 and boasts a gourmet kitchen, a large dining room, and multiple entertainment areas.
There are two gas fireplaces, a pool table, a pinball, seven TVs, an outdoor hot tub, a classic Skee-ball arcade game, and great indoor/outdoor spaces for a perfect vacation experience in downtown Flagstaff. Plenty of parking. Safe keyless entry. Outdoor security camera monitoring.
Parking: The home has a large driveway; 2 to 3 guest vehicles can park in the driveway, and we have outdoor security cameras. The house has a 2-car garage, allowing guests to park one vehicle if needed. Street parking is available during the day in downtown Flagstaff, but payment at meters is required for street parking, and street parking is not available overnight in the winter months.
Outdoor Space: fenced backyard, deck, fire pit, tables, lounging areas, and a Gas BBQ grill. The backyard hot tub is integrated into the decked terrace, with room for six adults in the spa and plenty of seating areas around it on the decked terrace.
Laundry Area: Our guests have in-house access to a laundry room with two sets of washers, dryers, and laundry detergent pods.
Due to its age, this house has limited air conditioning. The primary bedroom, the great room, and the kitchen all share the air conditioner. The two upstairs bedrooms have window units. The rest of the house needs to be air-conditioned. The bunk bedroom will stay cool if the door is left open.
Access: Our property has keypad access with a unique code that you can access anytime during your stay.
Location: The neighborhood is excellent for walking. Flagstaff is one of the best-preserved Route 66 towns, and the downtown area is full of historic buildings, signs, and motels that were popular in the mid-20th century.
One of Flagstaff's most famous landmarks on Route 66 is the Lowell Observatory, one of the world’s oldest observatories, where Pluto was first discovered.
One of the most recognizable landmarks in downtown Flagstaff is the historic Hotel Monte Vista, built in 1927 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The hotel is known for its Art Deco architecture and ghost sightings, which have been reported by guests over the years.
In addition to its cultural offerings, downtown Flagstaff is home to many shops, restaurants, and bars. From vintage clothing stores to artisanal coffee shops, there is something for everyone in this bustling area. Whether you’re looking for a unique souvenir, a delicious meal, or a place to relax and enjoy a drink, downtown Flagstaff has it all just steps from our home.
