About this house rental
Fourshires Lodge is a Cotswold stone lodge house built in 1802 and recently renovated to an exceptional standard, retaining many original features. The lodge benefits from exposed beams and stone work, mullion windows, large patio area, huge outdoor space and wraparound views over open countryside. There are 3 large bedrooms, one ensuite, with additional sofabed available on request. The lodge has super fast fibre broadband and log burner. Quiet and private location but only 2 miles from town.

Drive up the country lane to Fourshires Lodge, which has uninterrupted countryside views in every direction, perfect for a relaxing stay for family or friends.
The lodge is situated only 2 miles from the historic market town of Moreton-in-Marsh. It is the perfect spot for exploring the Cotswold, with Daylesford Farm Shop and Spa, Cotswolds Farm Park and Bourton-on-the water, often described as the ‘Little Venice’ of the Cotswolds, all within a 10 mile radius, to name a few options!
The lodge has recently been refurbished to an exceptional standard throughout. Downstairs you enter the lodge into a generous hallway, leading to the living room, with a large bay window, showcasing just one of the many views you get from inside this property. The lounge is equipped with 2 large sofas, armchair, smart TV (including free Netflix account), selection of board games, and a working log burner.
Back through the hallway leads into a large utility room before entering a well equipped beautiful kitchen/diner with a dining table seating 6, quartz worktops, gas stove and all the mod cons you would expect in a newly renovated kitchen. There is also an exit to the garden and patio area.
Also downstairs is a separate tastefully presented study area with a small double sofa bed (NOTE: available as additional bed on request at time of booking) and a cloakroom area.
The first floors hosts 2 generous double bedrooms and a large twin bedroom. The master bedroom has stunning views of open countryside, double bed, plenty of storage room, unique barn style sliding doors leading to a well equipped shower ensuite.
The second bedroom, is the largest and showcases an exposed stone wall, twin beds and TV. The third bedroom has plenty of character with an ornamental fireplace, double bed and another beautiful view.
All beds come with hotel quality crisp cotton sheets, and fluffy towels are provided for each guest together with complementary toiletries.
Also on the first floor is a family bathroom, with a walk-in shower, separate bath, toilet and sink.
The lodge sits in around 2 acres of land with an extensive wraparound garden, with patio area to the rear of the kitchen with outdoor seating area for 6, BBQ, all overlooking wonderful views of countryside and farm land. The boundaries of the garden consist of trees, barbed wire fencing and electric fencing. There is also plenty of parking directly outside the property.
Please no smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property.
Dogs are considered on request only, at time of booking, to enable us to determine if suitable for the property, as it is located on a working farm adjacent to a competition/stud horse yard. There is an additional fee of £30 per pet.
CHECK IN
Check in time is from 3pm but we will try to let you get into the cottage sooner, if requested. It just depends if we have guests staying the night before. Please try to give as much notice as possible with your arrival time and update on the day with any changes / delays.
CHECK OUT
Check out is 10am, so we can get the property ready for our next guests.
