The stay was fine. I had to give a cash deposit. When I checked out, they could not find my cash. I was told that the management had to come to the hotel to review video of the front desk to see where it is at. It made me feel like they thought I stole the money. I had to call the local police to come help rectify the situation. I would not recommend anyone staying at this hotel nor will I ever stay at a quality inn again.

I was awaken with a loud knock on the door. Reservation was supposed to be for 4 days instead of three. Clerk wouldn't work anything out for me as i just paid nearly $500. She said it was magic city classic and I wouldn't find a better deal. I beg to differ. They were still asking approximately $200 for Sinday and i check out at 5pm to go to work then home. I ended up calling off work and driving 3 hours home. Im back for work at another hotel, price the same but cant forget how i was treated.

WIFI SUCKED
Staff rude.
Breakfast good, hot & cold choices.
Carpet was wet (soaked) in places.
Required $100 cash deposit or CC that would be 7-10 days for refund.

The check in and check out was so easy. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They have a variety of hot and cold foods for breakfast. They also have an indoor pool. Located near restaurants and shopping g options. It was a quiet stay in the city.

We arrived late on our way to Charleston, S.C. from Texas to join my Vietnam army veterans' reunion. The late night desk clerk was friendly and courteous. The room was clean, and the shower water pressure was the best I've encountered when traveling. The only problem was the window shade in our room was too thin to block the parking lot lights which illuminated our room, making it somewhat difficult to fall asleep. All appliances worked and the frig was large enough for us to store restaurant leftovers. Breakfast items included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals, waffles, bagels, fruit juices, yogurt plus and a coffee machine that offered mild, average or strongly brewed coffee. All the staff we encountered were friendly and polite. We made plans to stay here again on our return trip to Texas. We recommend this hotel to others.

Love this property. It’s an older facility but always so clean. It’s our choice when in B’ham.

When we first got there, the room smelled like cigarettes, bad. The front desk was QUICK about getting us into a new room. Got into the room and the tv remote quick working, they quickly came and changed it out. Then the toilet started giving us issues. If it wasnt for the staff we would have gone somewhere else. The care and consideration was top notch. The beds were very hard, but the linens and rooms were VERY clean.

The room, bathroom, check in were all fine.
We even enjoyed the waffles at breakfast but there were 2 things.
1) The beds were horrible!!! My God, it was so hard and flat, we all slept horribly. We originally booked for 2 nights but after that first night we cancelled the second night and were charged an early cancelation fee. Whatever, fine....we were just ready to get out of there.
2) I dont know if there is just no insulation or what but the room above us was ridiculously loud. We finally called the front desk and within minutes it was quiet so i applaud them for taking care of that.
