The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and there were complimentary bottled waters, which we appreciated after a lot of walking that day. Loved the ambience and the breakfast was good! They served scrambled eggs and sausages. Other hotels just had boiled eggs and cold cuts. This hotel is close to the Chapel Bridge, Jesuit Church, other tourist areas and lots of restaurants!

We spent one night at the hotel, and luckily it was just one. The bathroom was very small and super old, with 80's furniture, and not in good shape. The "shower" was supersmall and dirty, with dark area around the shower drain. The sleeping area was dirty: there were a couple of spiderwebs, a dead insect smashed on the ceiling and one of the light was missing the toggle so it was unusable. One of the 2 water bottles was already open. The room is not sound proof, and as a matter of fact, we woke up on sunday morning at 6:30 by the vibration of the phone in the room behind ours. And on top, one of the workers came to knock at our door, apparently by mistake, while we sleeping, and had to woke up and get up for nothing. The worst is that the bedroom wasn't cheap at all. I am sorry to say this, but we didn't like at all the experience.

Hotel was within 10 minutes distance from train station and we could walk to all the attractions in Lucerne by foot although you can board buses in zone 10 for free when the hotel registers you. Excellent breakfast. My only complaint is the TV was mounted high up touching ceiling so you could only watch it lying down unless you want a sore neck.

We had a nice room with a nice view of the château on the hill. The bathroom was on the older side but worked out just fine. The staff was friendly and breakfast was good although crowded at 7am. It was pouring rain when we arrived so it was nice that they offered umbrellas. The bus stop was right around the corner and only a short ride to the train station.

Location was good except that there is a bar directly across the street and at 1am the patrons stand outside and talk very loudly. I requested 3 bed; one was a sofa bed that was broken. The man at the front desk was going to send someone but never showed. Next day housekeeping put the broken pieces back and pretended all was ok. The bed was horribly uncomfortable with most of the slats broken or missing. The other beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows were terrible. Breakfast was good and i liked the location- other than the bar of course. I can also say that it was hot,and the fans provided were decent. However, i would strongly suggest that if you are visiting Lucerne in summer you should pay more for a hotel with AC.
