It’s an old place, heating wasn’t working, and the fan in the bathroom was obnoxious. Some of the power outlets didn’t work, and when we told them about the issues, they asked us to wait a couple of hours.

Decent lodge with all the facilities required but was a little dark and also a lot of road noise from a nearby bridge as well as noise from the railway.
The restaurant was decent food but because of the large groups and open plan style did not feel particularly cosy / intimate as a restaurant.

It was right on a river, very peaceful.

Nice property. Clean and well kept. Good service.

The reservation was to pay at the property but the payment was charged at the time of reservation and they charged addition amounts which had to be disputed to get that back. Overall the room promised was facing river but was not and room had misty odor.

Mountains and river lake view are so wonderful!

Great place to stay. Good restaurant and bar with specialty drinks. Plus a “Wake-up call” for the Northern Lights.

Could not adjust room temperature (no thermometer). Was too hot and the only way to cool off was to open a window.

Needs maintenance. Toilet, extractor fan, door locks, door frames. Food was good, most staff very friendly .
Rooms are small and bathrooms tiny

The lobby of the main building and their ads were good looking to impress you to book. But the actual room was significantly inferior. Also there was no refrigerator in the room. The service was poor. Our main reason for travel was to view northern light. We put our name on calling list if there was northern light during middle of night. There was only one day and they didn't call us. Our trip was wasted. We have to go again spending thousands of dollar. They said we have to put our name every night bit the receptionist didn't tell us that. If we were told, we would have done this. Don't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very disappointing stay. When checking in for 3 nights clerk asked if we wanted to be notified about Northern Lights, of course we said yes. On a tour we were told by several they saw lights night before, we inquired at desk and they said you have to sign up daily but wasn’t told that. Our room had been updated a bit. New carpet, fairly new walk in shower but extremely loud. People above sounded like a heard of elephants every day and could even hear them talking. Doors slamming, floors squeaking, people walking in the building in general. We had to run the fan to drown out noise. Also, they provide an iron/board (??why) but no fridge. Very few outlets, had to put the tiny coffee maker and my phone charger on the floor. Would not stay again

Staff were clearly working feverishly to keep up with the traffic. It was difficult for them to keep up with the crowds. The omelet maker was new and it wasn't clear that the eggs at the self serve table (breakfast) was the $25 breakfast.

Beautiful setting, beautiful check-in, lobby, gift shop and restaurant. Staff was very accommodating.

It was a neat facility with lots of rooms and cottages. It was a pretty view along the river.
The restaurant wasn't open and the food choices were very poor. There was not a good breakfast available unless you like Starbucks for every meal. The bar had very limited hours and closed early. No one was very happy about the limited food available - it is a long drive or bus ride up there, and a 5-star meal would have been nice when we got there! No wildlife to see on the trails. There is not much to do there.

The hotel is over price. Everything in the room is too old and not very comfortable. The hotel charged me $18 for train station shuttle which is too much for me. Someone in next door of mine used marijuana, which made me sick so I had to request changing my room.

Not as described on the website. Way overpriced for the value. Another reviewer likened the rooms to a Motel 6 and I would agree. Tiny, old rooms with no circulation so smell musty.
Provided floor fans to put in window, but have to shut windows at night since the sun doesn’t go down until after 10 pm and to keep out the outside noise. Walls are thin so loud hallway noise.
My biggest disappointment is that Mt Denali cannot be seen from this area at all. This is an interior part of Alaska and while in the Denali National Park, the mountain is still 100 miles away and not visible except by plane.
Biggest problem was staff shortages. The staff we encountered were all incredibly nice and helpful, but hotel was so understaffed that hardly anything was open. Meals were hard.
The whole section with the Burger place, general store, and dinner theater were not opened this season. Only had the coffee shop, gift shop, and sit down restaurant and all of these had limited hours. The restaurant had limited seating. Two of our meals we grazed on snacks we had brought with. No restaurants within walking distance and hotel shuttle doesn’t run enough to be helpful or reliable.
Also, nothing to do in area without car. No bike rentals, trails etc. Have to arrange outside excursions that provide shuttle service.
Would not recommend.

The hotel was clean and very convenient. The rooms were also very nice with a river view. There is a trail behind the hotel and a deck to sit and enjoy the views. Very good experience overall.

We loved our visit at Denali Park Village! We were limited on where to go since we didn't have a car and the shuttle is only a few certain times. We didn't realize reservations are pretty much necessary at the only restaurant here, so we ate m&m's and jerky from the gift shop for supper the first night. They didn't pack a spoon in our to-go breakfast. All that to say, the food service needs improvement, but the room was comfy and the shower fantastic!

This place was a surprise. It covers a lot of ground and has a lot to offer. I can only assume pre-pandemic this was a super fun place. Currently, it is still bustling but at about half of what it could be.
It has many amenities, restaurants, shops, outdoor spaces and all of this on a river. The restaurant is large and the food is good, maybe a bit expensive. The rooms are a bit dated but quite adequate. Plus, who spends their time in Denali in their hotel room?!
