The hotel was exquisite! On the canal and perfectly appointed. The staff was lovely and the breakfast buffet was more than anyone could ask for. We loved the Hotel Antico Doge!

Walking into Antico Doge is “other worldly.” Exactly as one would expect in Venice, it was an exceptional blend of stunning decor, gracious staff, efficient service & incredible calm away from the fray and people outside of their establishment. The most beautiful & striking room I have ever stayed in. Decor in red velvet, gold accents and warm golden hardwood floors…. It oozed money & warmth & comfort & that’s what we paid for !! We absolutely loved it !!

We loved our stay at Antico Doge. Valentina was so friendly and helpful. We got checked in as soon as we arrived and she was so helpful with maps, directions and recommendations. The rooms were nicely decorated and there was a refrigerator, slippers, shampoo, soap, etc.
The hotel is centrally located and an easy walk to the Rialto. The canal view rooms can be loud from the restaurants and tourist below but this didn’t keep us from sleeping. The view of the gondolas below is an added bonus.
The breakfast was great. A good selection to start the day.
Our only complaint is the beds! They were the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on. I enjoy a firm mattress, but I think the floor would have been more comfortable. It is time to change these mattresses out.
We will definitely stay here again when we visit Venice.

Great location, nice room, good wi-fi but bathroom a bit small and breakfast mediocre (eg bacon and eggs were cold at 9.30am despite being in a heated serving container). For £330 a night out of season, I’d say this hotel was average in terms of value. I’m sure you can do better.

Right in the middle of it all! Convenient but certainly in a bustling part of Venice

The rumors about Venice are true. We had two rooms. One was fine, one smelled like sewage (the FALIER II). Both were beautifully appointed and had very nice bathrooms, but if I weren't so tired I would have asked to move. This property has a very nice entrance in a convenient area, with very small interior hallways - sort of a maze inside with rooms on all different levels, making the whole place feel 'tight'. The lights and air conditioners go off when your key is not in the door so you don't come back to a 'fresh' room.

Nice place in Venice. Good air conditioning. Vaporetto short walk away. Plenty of places to eat.

To my mind, from the outside, a traditional looking Venetian hotel, decorated inside in a period style also. A well equipped bathroom too and all very good value for money. Breakfast is included. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The location seemed good too. A perfect first stay for us.

Reasonable price and great location for this hotel. We have stayed here before and would stay again. Only negative is steps but for such a good location it is understandable, and staff will come and take your luggage upstairs.

The manager is exceptional, but there is one of the employees that just can't work in customer service. She has serious issues

The hotel was conveniently located across from the ferry so getting around Lake Como was easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. While the room was not plush, our room and bath were large , comfortable, and clean. The breakfast each morning was very plentiful and quite good. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

My husband and I stayed at Antico Doge 3 times. We love the location and the easy access from the airport via a water taxi. The hotel comes complete with friendly staff, delicious breakfast, clean rooms, comfortable bedding, updated bathroom and an intriguing history from the past. Shops and restaurants are steps away from the front door, including a gelateria. We would not hesitate to come back to this hotel again and again.

Convenient location and friendly staff. My 5 year old thought it was the fanciest hotel she had ever stayed in.
