I didn't get the proper bed, so had to request it later. It wasn't corrected until 8 pm! I didn't get my free bottle of wine. When I did, around 7 pm, it was disgusting. I wanted to give it back and get 2 bottles of water. They would only give me 1. The restaurant/bar girls were brutal: ignored me, then rude when I approached them. There was only 1 good person here really. Plus the room wasn't cleaned properly

Very expensive for what it is. Good location but rooms not much better than Travelodge.

Never been to the Algarve region but it is sensational. The Dom José is very nice and comfortable. Beach was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again.

In general the hotel was very nice. Brunch buffet was fantastic. But the rooms were not soundproof. Could hear anything happening in the hallway including just people shutting their doors.

Very clean, super friendly, great sea view
Planes fly over at 6am which was the only issue which is not the fault of the hotel.

Hotel has lots of locals as guests and doesnt seem to care about internationals. Our comp bottle of wine per booking was a nightmare affair. Had to ask then given a voucheur to choose a bottle of my choice of wine at the bar. Had 2 bookings. Agreed on 2nd booking( back to back)that I could use the voucheur. Waiter very helpful but once I saw it on my bill and brought this to his attention he directed me to the front desk. There they decided that I was to have the house wine. We had consumed 1 bottle already. Never did they mention house wine. I was told that I must pay. According to Antonio at the desk, "who was just doing his job", (and afraid of it as others there), we weren t accepting their "gift" which was not from them but Expedia..."I could of course get the comp wine at another time." Hah! I live in Norway.
I offered to pay the difference of house wine and my choice, but that was out of the question for Antonio. Paid 40€ for 2 bottles of complimentary wine!
Also asked for soya milk for my coffee while the onsite restaurant was closed. Told "this time ok...we buy ...you buy..." I would have gladly paid but didn t need the rude attitude.
Other than that its a great location on the beach & bus to Lisbon, 2 minutes by foot. Shops & restaurants right there. Nice seafront bar at hotel and pool.
A max 3 star hotel due to attitude.

Central hotel close to all the shops and restaurants. The hotel is small and has everything you really need for a quiet stay for a few days. Staff are great and had no issues. Pool area is small but never had an issue getting a lounger and the view is right on the beach. There are also some loungers available on the beach accessed by the hotel.

Receptionists
were n t the most helpful at first. Askdd 2twice for body lotion, told Yes, and never arrived. I had to ask about our comp bottle of wine as vip hotel members, shouldnt have had to .....mentionded celebrating 60 ith birthday, confirmed prior to arrival and not even a greeti greeting. Disappointing. Safe locked. Told 30/40 ,min wait, called again and ASKED IF IT WAS IMPORTANT. The repirman came when I said yes.
Great location in front of great beach. Restaurant staff very professional.. Good assortment breakfast...skip dinner. Little food after 9.15pm and not worth value..
Overall very satisfied except for some of the receptionists attitude and lack of vip interest...

Beautiful hotel- we stayed in a small room at the back with a tiny window and a very small double bed. In the description it read that there were double or twin beds so I requested twin beds as I was travelling with my daughter. However we got a double bed.As we were only staying for a few nights it was fine. Although very clean and fresh, space was tight and the view was uninspiring.
The rooms at the front are larger with balconies and sea views. As others have mentioned the beds are quite hard.
The reception staff are helpful, if not super friendly. Special mention for Beatriz who checked us in and helped us to organise a boat trip in a friendly, efficient manner.
The location and views to the front of the hotel are its main selling points. Beautiful vistas and stunning sunsets. Many local bars and restaurants nearby also. It is only 5-10 minutes from Vilamoura marina which is a nice place to spend an evening. Lovely walks in either direction in the promenade directly outside the hotel.
We only ate breakfast at the hotel which was good.
Overall I would return to the hotel again- for its location and cleanliness.

We were lucky to get a last-minute cancellation for 5 nights in August. On arrival, we checked in and went to our second-floor room with a balcony overlooking the pool. Everything has been refurbished and feels very modern.
The room was small but immaculate - a large double bed (made from two singles), a bathroom with a walk-in shower with shampoo and liquid soap.
The air conditioning worked well, there was great lighting, power sockets with built-in USB ports: adequate storage space and a safe with a modern wall-mounted TV with plenty of channels.
The breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices and good coffee machines.
The pool was lovely even though it was very busy. The beds and umbrellas are very close together but that doesn't matter.
The area outside the hotel is a pedestrian area, a boardwalk and a private beach area. Two sunbeds and an umbrella cost 16 Euro for a day and towels cost 2 Euro each (plus 20 Euro deposit). The beach and water in August were lovely.
There are lots of cafes, bars and restaurants and prices are good.
Taxis are wonderful on the Algarve. We took an Uber from Faro airport costing 16 Euro for a 25-minute journey. We took lots of Uber trips into Vilamoura Marina each costing around 5 Euro. Don't bother with a car.
We would happily return!

Was very nice, only bad thing was I hung my dress clothes on the hook in bathroom and it ripped it off the wall, got my dress clothes all dirty, other than that perfect place.

This was a very touristy spot and all the hotels around the area were busy and just ok.Maybe better for families? Our hotel was the nicest on the strip. I like more quaint hotels and this hotel wasn’t that quaint. The lobby is nice and we had a great time in the lounge area. It is right on the Ocean and we did go to the beach .
