very bad experience
Some customers partied every night during our entire stay
and this despite 3 complaints made to the staff
took a room with a kitchen
Tiny room, the refrigerator and stove stuck to the bed and no counter or place to eat.
For a similar price there are several other hotels nearby offering more comfort and calm

The beach access from the room was excellent. My sister, who was in a wheelchair, didn’t have any trouble getting out the door. But she couldn’t get the wheelchair into the bathroom. It was a bit frustrating at first but we figured out a way to do it as well as taking a shower.
The cleanliness was questionable. I was afraid to sleep in PJ and my sister slept between to blankets she brought.
There was a beer can on the windowsill and a mushroom growing out of the wall in the bathroom.
The room was very humid. The bedding and the clothes we hung up were damp.
Also, there were people playing music loud outside till 11 pm both nights and one night there was a barking dog.
With all the negatives, the access to the beach and the price were the very best things about the stay.

Front desk agent Thea, was very caring and helpful. She cares a lot about her guest.
The hotel is older but sits right on the beach and close to the beach ramp for those who want to take a drive on the beach. Nice pool area too!

AS soon as I opened the door I looked around took pictures and then left. The bedding was covered in dog fur, the drapes was dusty, the table was covered in dust, the fridge had a piece of hair in it , the freezer had a mold ring around the seal, The mini microwave was greasy on the outside and the inside was covered in splattered food. the bathroom door had a Hugh hole in it. there was condensation around the ac unit causing the paint to have sweated and peeled away the paint. inside the bathroom we seen a spider and roaches. inside the closet the very old carpet was filthy and had roaches in it. The string hanging in the closet was so filthy I did not want to touch it. The stairway was unsafe and reeked of mamajuana and smoke. I refused to sleep there and spoke to the manager at the desk and he wanted me to take my time to write down a list of what I saw and how I felt. I looked at him and said I will be letting hotel .com what I think. So you should remove this run down disgusting filthy hotel from your site. It looks like a hotel for vagrant people.

Great value .Everything it in the room we got a kitchenette. It's an overhotel but it is definitely on the beach. The pool was clean the front desk people were awesome. If you got little ones the life guard station is right next door. Great location close by good restaurants good breakfast and right across the street from golf. Pillows were good bed with comfortable. We had a great stay we would definitely stay again.. They also had things where you could charcoal and cook outside and numerous little cabanas. As well as ample seating for outdoors.

Didn't stay a night. Toilet running due to feminine pad in tank, place was dirty, no wall plates on plug outlets. I think
I got the worst room in the place because of the hotels.com deal. My room had an actual key, all the other rooms had a key card access. They offered to move me but at that point, I just went elsewhere.

The room was not clean. Pillows was dirty. Walls nasty. We took pictures. We did not stay there. We found another room at a different place. The smell was terrible. Door didn’t close completely. Very unsafe.

we decided on a spontaneous beach trip- and since we had a nice time at this hotel last year we chose it again- i booked a cheaper room initially but when we arrived i decided to upgrade and the man that checked us in was very helpful with changing our room- we eneded up with a perfect room with an ocean view and a patio- we had a very nice time 🙂

Very clean. The only problem I had was when I left the beach door open, the floor got slimy. Not the hotels fault.

Of all my travels, this MOTEL was horrible with poor conditions. I have pics which if anyone is interested at [email protected]. If u stay buy lots of cleaning supplies. The rooms throughout this place had a bad odor. The rooms were an upgrade. The eating utensils were old and dirty including the drawer. Due to the unmatched dishes, it appears someone stayed in this place and had to move out. The refrigerator was dirty, rusted on the inside/outside; table/chairs dirty; the oven was old/rustic; the walls dirty with red/brown spots throughout; the baseboards were very dirty. The microwave was rustic on the inside and dirty. The windows were dirty as well. The dresser drawers were dirty. The bedspread was spotted. The bed was not properly made up. Oh I forgot to tell u, the bed is not really supported and was easy to move if you stood close to it. The toilet had poop on it and tub had long hair strains inside tub (we r a bald couple). The shower curtain had mildew and I called for a replacement that same day, spoke to someone and one was not delivered. The furniture was old and stained. There was a hole in the wall behind the bed and had to use tissue to cover it to prevent any critters (cockroaches, etc.) inside the room.
During July 4th holiday, We paid for 12 days $1490 and my husband noticed I was unhappy. I told him I couldn’t stay here and no other rooms were available when I checked in at the office. We left the next morning.

We spend 3 days at the driftwood. The bed was comfy. We had a balcony and kitchenette in our room and really enjoyed the easy beach access. The only negative part would be that it could be a bit cleaner. On the other hand we do understand that there are people out there that live like pigs and do not try to clean up after themselves and leave it to hotel staff to clean with limited amount of time. We enjoyed our stay here and would come again
