The place is what you expect. Not 5 stars, but what it promises. Furthermore - BEST location (on the very top) and the staff was ALWAYS accompdating and never "rude". I would come back! Marianna

I gave it 5 stars in most areas considering it’s a 3 star hotel. So many travelers, specially us Americans, rate their stays on five star hotel expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had a power outage for about 1 hrs but they dealt with it. I wanted another night which was not available but they found me a room just down the street and checked me in to it at 9am. I liked Il Duomo and the staff and recommend it.

The hotel is on a perfect location in the center of the old town Assisi. The room was cozy, the breakfast was simple but tasty! The staff on the reception was very nice and helpful when we asked for advices. ☺️

Location was great however breakfast definitely needs a lot of improvement. There was a small kettle but there were no cup, saucer, teaspoon, tea nor coffee sachets. Bathroom has generous space.

I liked the location, the price and the cleanliness. I did not like the hard bed, small tv, room location , too many steps or breakfast. Staff were minimally helpful.

I liked the room, it was spacious and very clean. Unfortunately, upon arriving the staff person in the front desk was very serious and not helpful. She did not provide any information at all about Assis nor did she inform us about breakfast.

The best hotel I stayed in during my trip in Italy. The rooms were clean and new. The bathroom was brand new and well maintained. The staff was very friendly. We got there early (10ish) and they checked us in without any issues. I would love to stay at this place again. Highly recommended!

Property was very well suited for our excursions. Very clean nice desk clerk took us all the way to our room and showed us how to get in after hours very accommodating and we needed a late check-out they accommodated that also

Overall very nice. Wonderful location, good breakfast, attractive room, excellent room rate during winter. Comfortable bed. We could hear people down on the street, an issue for light sleepers to consider. The day of our visit was very cold and the heater wasn't powerful enough to raise the room temperature above 68 F, but we found that typical traveling around Italy, so perhaps that's to be expected.

The hotel is centrally located on a steep but quiet street. Area seems safe enough and is also lite just enough to feel comfortable. Hotel staff can be friendly or just perfunctory at the desk. Breakfast is adequate but not special, it also is fresh and thoughtfully arranged. The city itself is great for a day or two. We tried 3 restaurants and not impressed. Food is 'tourist' stuff, cost for 2 with wine 30-60euros. Very disappointed in the food! We did find a nice coffee shop with outdoor seating and great coffee, the pastry shop nearby disappointed tho. TV at hotel not 1 English Channel that we could find, and be sure to bring enough euros for when u are there. Could not find an atm and bank we went to we did not use, fees were ridiculous. Walking up the hills is a challenge that proved quite difficult at times for us. we both are in mid 60s and I have a lower back issue that did contribute to my problems, taxis thankfully are available.
