Historic and fun, comfortable and clean. Harry, the General Manager was an amazing host. Great price, great breakfast, great location; Great Experience all around!

Not complaining for the price but the hotel is old and on the main drag so it's not quiet. Had to run the AC for white noise. Pool is great in the summer. Staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast is okay but not great. But like I said, for the price it's pretty good and just fine for an overnight stay. I wouldn't stay for more than one night though. I would spend more money and stay at a nicer property.

Older place. My buddy and stayed while on a fishing trip. It was fine for us. My wife probably would not be impressed. Nice location in downtown. Walkable to Diamondback Grill which is excellent.

I understood that this hotel was historical but it was disappointing that it did not have a refrigerator for my leftovers. The room was 88 degrees when I got there at 7:30 pm and the A/C unit was so high I couldn’t see the controls. Since there was no phone in the room I had to go down the stairs 2 floors to the front desk for help. Some signage in the room with the office # and maybe some instructions for operation as well as for checking out would be helpful. The room key is an actual key. Also, the blow dryer didn’t work, the back up blow dryer barely blew and there was no shampoo or conditioner. The breakfast was nice tho, with quiche, muffins, waffles, etc. Better than most hotels for that. The bed was comfortable too. Easily fix the above mentioned and it would be great!

I did not realize the front desk closed at 9 pm. The front desk person was willing and o wait for me to check in by midnight. It did surprise me that there is no 24 hour person line they have in the Bay Area.

The clerk that greeted us was very courteous and helpful. He made us comfortable instantly. The room was large and had easy access. It was very clean. All three days were quiet all night. Breakfast was outstanding! And again, the attention to all customers was respectful, polite and warm.
Gunn House has my strongest recommendation.

Historical hotel with lots of charm. Plenty of easily walkable dining and nightlife options. Staff recognized me from a previous stay months ago and made me feel very welcome.

This is an old place, historically old, in a quaint way. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The location is good, with lots of good restaurant choices within walking distance. We stayed in the "bridal suite" and it was what you'd expect from a place built in 1855. A little musty but clean. No mini fridge or microwave but we managed. They have a breakfast included, which mostly included cake. Four different types of cake, which were tasty, and one egg dish, which was also tasty. Would have loved to have had a little more protein but we managed. The only real issue, which again we managed to work with, was our room was in front, on the main street, which means it was loud with traffic. We were able to get to sleep but morning started pretty early. I recommend a room in the back, though I hear they're quite small.

Owner shut off breaker so we couldn’t get ice because he thought 2 scoops was enough. Pool area was filled with cracked plastic furniture. Pool had algae. Breakfast was really limited & the water served was tap water & horrible tasting. Stay at your own risk.
