One night visit at this Inn while we were traveling through the Finger Lakes. Great location to explore the area. The Inn is tastefully and interestingly decorated with lots of antiques. Each room is different and has its own name. Lots of comfortable sitting rooms plus living room with couches and a pool table. Wonderful creative breakfast.

Should provide fresh towels to customer everyday; and
put up non-translucent curtains that maintain privacy and dark for early morning. Great stay overall.

We are a couple traveling through Waterloo to visit the Harriet Tubman home. To our surprise, Waterloo is an historic town, particularly regarding Women’ rights and abolition. The Gridley Inn is located within the blocks of historic Waterloo.
We were totally charmed by this historic home which was built about 1848. It has some original furnishings and on the walls, documents and pictures tell of its first inhabitants who founded a Music School with a theater, much appreciated by my husband, a classical composer. We so enjoyed meeting the owners, who were wonderful hosts,

This is a beautiful heritage home in the town of Waterloo, New York. It is a very short walk to downtown. We arrived early but we were welcomed and able to move to our room. Parking is available. The Statesman room was very comfortable. We also met a young resident artist, Catherine who also works at the Inn. A very comfortable front porch and living room. Breakfast was fresh and home made. The Star Restaurant was recommended and we were very impressed with both the service and our meal.

You will have an excellent stay if you are well versed on the extensive list of rules. Owner has very high expectations for guest behavior. A beautiful property, immaculately maintained with a rich history; owners emphasize the preservation of the property over the comfort of the guests; guests are treated as inconveniences in historic residence. Abundance of love notes sprinkled generously around property to encourage ideal guest behavior. Owner is prideful and unsympathetic to guest accommodations.

Owner was not very friendly at checkin - just the instructions provided, no warmth. Breakfast was excellent food but time was set at 8:45 with no exceptions. Would have preferred open times even with less food.

I grew up in Waterloo and returned after many years for a family member's funeral. I found the Gridly to be welcoming and very comfortable. Steph and Madison were fantastic hosts, and the breakfasts were incredible. Where I will stay when I go back and I highly recommend to others traveling in the Finger Lakes region.

Cozy, comfortable, easy to walk to eateries and the breakfast was 5 star. Innkeeper Stefanie full of out door adventure tales and engaging stories.

The property was absolutely beautiful. The owners were so welcoming and hospitable. It was much more like a beautiful room staying with friends than a hotel stay. I would absolutely recommend if you would like a small town feel get away.

The room was cozy and homey. Because of my bad knee it was a challenge climbing the stairs. Especially with luggage. Thankfully the hostess helped me with it. Must add that the inn was delightfully decorated.
One drawback was there wasn’t a tv in the room. I should have asked why, but didn’t think of it when leaving.
I loved that the inn was conveniently located near Main Street. Could walk to restaurants.
Breakfast food was delicious. Would have been great if there was coffee available when first coming down. Any person that enjoys that first cup in the morning knows how important this beverage is.
Also it was stated to me that food wasn’t allowed in the room. First time staying at a getaway that was a requirement. 🤔
Ok so all that being said, I would give my stay 4 stars.

We liked everything about this property-from the clean and lovely site to Stephanie and Madison, our hosts. One recommendation: Your in-room guidebook has very little information other than the inn's history and lots of area menus. You should add: time the yummy breakfast is served, wifi-whether you have it and the password, how to adjust the room temperature, and the fact that there's no host contact after 6:00 pm. A page of relevant facts like this will be helpful to your guests.

We had a wonderful time at the inn. Spent time walking in Waterloo and Seneca Falls. Found really nice lunch and supper places. Went to the farmers market. Also, had a great breakfast and conversation at the inn. We are hoping to come again in the near future. Thank you.

We appreciated the air condition after a very hot and muggy day. Parking on the street is the only option due to slight construction work being done by the owner. Roz was kind and gracious to us when we arrived.
