Myself and my partner have stayed here a couple of times before, the location is really good close to all amenities, very clean and the hosts were really nice, advising us about parking, breakfast and other importance information, we will definitely be coming back again

Lovely big comfortable room, we stayed in Rydal suite. Owner met us on arrival and checked us in early, very welcoming and friendly. We had everything we needed on the doorstep, perfect location would highly recommend.

Lovely room and we enjoyed the lake view. The breakfast hamper was fine. The only thing we didn’t love were the bed and pillows. But we do sleep on an exceptionally comfortable bed at home so maybe that wouldn’t be an issue for most people. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The suite itself was very nice. It was spacious, very well decorated, clean and well maintained.. The breakfast was fine, if a cooked breakfast is not your thing. Excellent location for the town centre, but at the same time very quiet. The one big draw back was the parking situation. We did not feel comfortable pulling up outside, as had been suggested, to drop the cases off or to pick up the car park ticket due to there being double yellow lines outside, plus it being the only stretch of road in Bowness with police no waiting bollards! We had great difficulty finding a car park space on any of the car parks (around 12.30 pm). We paid for the minimum of 3 hours and went to collect the car park ticket from the suites when that time was nearly up. The ticket did not cover the car park we were on so we had to move the car, only to find a place very difficult to find on the correct car park: we must have been there 15 minutes before a place became available. This is not likely to be so bad at other times of the year. As above, the suites themselves are very nice. Guests may like to consider catching a train to Windermere and then a taxi to Bowness instead of taking the car.

We feel terrible for leaving this review, based on the fact the owner was a lovely woman, but we cannot fathom the reviews left by others. We stayed in a room in a main road, incredibly noisy. View of the lake was restricted to say that least. It was basically a bedroom in someone's house. We made our excuses and left 2 hours after checking in and moved to a hotel Ambleside. No idea what others saw in the accommodation, sorry.

Ideal stop to enjoy the scenery, restaurants, gift shops and pubs in Bowness on Windermere. The suite provided an appreciated comfort after a long drive and the lake view was very pleasing to the eye The French doors and sitting area were a real bonus and breakfast satisfying for a good start to the day.

Excellent location for handiness but very, very noisy. Room lovely & clean; however not as luxurious as made out on the website. Room set out for 1 rather than 2 people - 1 hand towel, 1 teaspoon, 1 pack of biscuits. Fruit bowl as advertised for breakfast was 1 kiwi fruit! No fluffy bath towels in bathroom - checked with reception and was told to check in the wardrobe and was given a 2nd hand towel from another room with 2 yellow marks on it..
