I’ve stayed here several times by now and overall it’s a good choice in Sannomiya. Convenient location, clean room in a good size with a comfy bed. The only things I’d like to see the changes are the pillows and breakfasts. The pillows are huge and stone heavy😂 not comfortable at all to sleep on. The breakfast is mediocre at best. The bread choice is poor, only dinner rolls and French toast. No pastries or croissants.. The restaurant is Italian, and they serve some pasta dishes for breakfast but they were not that good.. Regardless of some shortcomings I would stay here again in the future. Customer service are pretty good😊

The check in process took almost one hour because they could not find the reservation despite showing them our booking confirmation with details. They kept saying they could not find it in their system. After half hour, somehow they found it but had problem with us two staying in the 2-queen bed junior suit without breakfast included. They claimed we only booked the two-bed junior suit for one person and wanted to charge us JPY5000 extra per night. While waiting for all the mess, the other staff impolitely tried to put us in an imaginary straight line by commanding us to move our bags, passports, and our stand to about 3 inches from the original place, (like in military drill). We were thinking we were not hotel customers but some kind of prison inmates. After one hour, they found a smoking room so we asked if we could change. The answer was no to no surprises but the reason given was that all the rooms were fully booked tonight. After we got to our junior suit, the room was reek with stuffy smoke smell so we asked another staff to help us. To our surprise, this staff took us to an available room and asked if we wanted to change. The room was a normal twin and cost 2-3 times cheaper. We asked if we could get a refund, the staff said if you told us before paying we could pay less. Imagining us standing there feeling like being cheated.

Nice hotel. The only odd thing was that the lobby was on the 2nd floor so you have to take the elevator up from street level to get to the lobby

It seems this hotel is pretty new. The Moderate Double room I stayed is compact, but ok for one person. For two it could be too tight with no space for two suitcases. I liked a separate bathtub. Breakfast is pretty good. Will stay again.

During the first night found the ceiling light cannot completely turn off and affect sleeping quality. Report to the front desk next day morning and they said they will check. No one came and the second night also cannot turn off the ceiling light. Very bad experience

Our stay at the Daiwa Roynet Hotel in Kobe had both positives and negatives. Positives: • Check-in went smoothly and the reception staff were very nice. • The room was very spacious and included a massage chair. • The location was excellent, right in the center and just a few minutes’ walk to the station. • The bed, bathroom, and toilet were clean. Negatives: • Unfortunately, we were given a smoking room despite having two small children. It was not possible to change rooms. • The hotel tried to mitigate the issue by providing an air cleaner, but the smell persisted and was very unpleasant even after four nights. • The carpet in the room was quite dirty and sticky, which was uncomfortable as we prefer not to wear shoes indoors. Overall, while the hotel’s central location and room size were great, the lingering smoke smell and dirty carpet significantly affected our experience. Check-out, however, was smooth.

The hotel is clean and modern. I like how spacious the room is. However we ordered room service and they gave us the wrong order. It took another 1 hour for them to deliver. Totally we spent 2 hours on waiting for a grilled Steak rice bowl. It seems like the staffs there don't speak English well. And the bathtub is a bit stuck. Water doesn't go away quickly.

Daiwa have got a very good hotel product. Right down to the design of their pyjamas. This hotel is very well placed to access the Port, public transport and the excellent shopping malls. The room layout is good and the beds very comfortable. We didn’t try their food offering so cannot comment. Overall we enjoyed Kobe and the hotel was excellent

This hotel is conveniently location near the station, shopping & dining area. Hotel itself was very clean, bathroom and room were both spacious. I even booked a room with a massage chair. I would book this hotel again if i were ever to come back to Kobe.
