Love the location and size of lot. But badly outdated. Toilet not installed properly when they changed flooring. Bed hurt my back. In so much pain I canceled my return trip there (on my way back from Montreal. At one time probably was an excellent resort. Now I wouldn’t send my worst enemy there. Neeo new proper beds and proper installation of toilets every done there cheap cheap. Looks like run by slumlords

After a long day of riding and wanting to relax in the jacuzzi tub and watch some TV, the TV in fact has picture but super grainy. After asking at the front desk if this can be fixed, he gave me no confidence that it could be and was told there is nothing that can be done. I rode to the Canadian tire to grab a converter so that perhaps I could hook up my laptop. Asked the front desk for a refund for the adapter as it was purchased due to their deceitful advertising of TV in the room. Yes there was a TV, but not a working one. After being told that the TV was a complimentary service I advise why advertise a complimentary service that doesn't work. May as well not have the TV in the room. As many have mentioned this place is in serious need of an update and better service. We will see how the sleep is tonight and the breakfast option tomorrow.

While everything was clean, it was expensive. An update is needed for entire property.

The room had an overpowering chemical smell from some kind of cleaning product. My wife, who has allergies, found breathing difficult. My eyes were burning. We were told we could not get our money back so our trip ended with a quick dinner then a drive home to sleep in our own bed at a cost of $153. This is so unfortunate because we had stayed at the Colonial years ago and had a wonderful experience. But there are new owners now. Our friend was also disappointed. Terrible experience.

Conveniently located to access Kingston, the family room had plenty of space. The pools, while dated, provided lots of entertainment for the family and the sauna was a nice surprise. As we are on an extended trip and cooking our own meals, the prohibition against any cooking appliances left us scrambling for dinner on our first night.

Nice and clean. Reception was adequate but very businesslike without seemingly interested in us or what they were doing. Bathroom nicely updated but the rooms are otherwise somewhat dated.

Room was comfortable and as advertised.
Lacking exhaust fan in the bathroom & walls are thin as we woken up two straight nights by younger kids partying in room next to ours till 2am

The room was very basic. Nothing special for breakfast. The indoor pool and hot tub are very pleasant, perfect for young travelers.

The "breakfast" is coffee, juice, fruit, a muffin, and toast. I expected more. The place is very convenient to downtown Gananoque.

The facility was not at all what we expected. The building was far from "resort" status. The buildings were old, run-down, and "tired." Some efforts had been made to upgrade the rooms, but most were just superficial. One could say, "They put lipstick on this pig!"

Just terrible. DO NOT LOOK AT PICTURES ON EXPEDIA AND THINK THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE GETTING. YOU ARE NOT. Completely run down, was in room ten minutes and felt like bugs were crawling on skin. Worse place I have ever stayed. Since we had prepaid we could not get refund. Was not even worth complaining at time because there was Nothing they could offer except a refund and that wasn't happening. Left and will never return. Pictures on Expedia are a lie.

Wow…there are no words. This hotel “resort” must have been lovely in its heyday but it is now run down and just dirty. Our room #52, was infested with cobwebs and spiders and black mold in the ceiling and bathroom. We had to ask 3 times and then threaten to leave before the guy got off his phone and came to take care of the spiders and webs. The bathroom faucet looks like it has never been cleaned and the paint was peeling in the tub. The bed was comfortable overall but the pillows were small and flat and the bed was slightly tilted down because of the uneven floors. I was terrified that there would be bedbugs so I didn’t sleep very well because of this. Thankfully there weren’t. Breakfast was simple but filled the void. Toast, muffins, yogurt, apples coffee, tea and juice.
It was only $110 but I wouldn’t stay again. It needs a complete deep clean and Reno. Grounds could be beautiful with some tlc.

I wasn’t impressed by the appearance, did not seem very professional. Seems to be neglected. Staff is friendly, but service is scarce.

The outside property is large, but needs cleaning and painting. Extra chairs and gazebo could be put to use if cleaning was maintained. All in all the location is close to downtown waterfront by car.
